Agree 😈?
not really, just complaining about petty things.
What about range and connectivity???
@@WeTalkUAV I do actually and I'm grateful, nowhere near as fussy as you 😂
Agree.
Totally agree. Good points
You can check the Screen recording on the remote, from the main start screen tap "Album" in the lower left of the screen, then on the top middle of the selection screen tap twice the "App Album" dropdown "V" then select either "Phone Album" or "Movies" ... they both contain your screen recordings dropdown, select the screen recording you want to view then hit play! BOOM! done!!
How's the signal strength. May bad reviews about it
I haven't made a specific range test. i never had problems. i'll have to see
@@WeTalkUAV it driving me mad to be honest I was about to buy one then all of sudden bad range lots of drop out signal this is in ce I'm not sure about in the US
Straight to the point! Good video Alex, I agree with all that you mention.
thx alejandro
I do not have a Mini 3 Pro, but I thought I saw a video where you can get to the Android operating system by sliding down from the top of the controller display. When demoed it looked a bit finicky, but give it a try. It may be what you need?
What about the range
DJI would probably release protective accessories when they start mass delivering the drones. For now, I can make do with a velcro for props holder.
The rotor protection is an easy fix. I have the Mavic Pro and I bought one set of replacement rotors and it came with a Velcro strap do keep the rotors from flopping about and getting damaged. It even says "Mavic Pro" on the strap. I do agree that would be an extremely easy upgrade to any DJI drone sold, even at the very bare-bones minimum purchase. In the volume that DJI sells drones, adding this strap would be maybe 0.25 cents each. Part of what you listed is why I absolutely hate and do not understand why the 249 gram limit is such a big selling point. The FAA can track you and your drone easily and the FAA has your drone on their radar when you turn it on and even before you have time to get the drone into the air, so all you're doing is getting a drone with fewer features to keep the drone at the 249 gram limit. This drone also doesn't have a built in cooling fan to keep the chip from overheating as part of the "cutting the fat" to keep the drone at the 249 gram cap. The only real pro's of the Mini 3 Pro are the remote with screen and a camera that rotates from landscape to portrait. The con's are the light weight which make it less stable in wind, it is a 12 MP camera versus the 20 MP camera on the Air 2s, the Mini has a .76 inch sensor versus the full 1 inch sensor in the Air 2s which means the Air 2s will have a better dynamic range in addition to the much higher photo resolution. The Air 2s records in 5.4K (or is it 5.7K) video which means you can do more stabilization in post production since currently there are very few screens working past 4k. I consider the 249 gram limit putting most drones at that limit more or less into a nice toy range versus a fully functional drone. One other nice feature of the Mini 3 Pro is the lighter drone is much quieter, so you're not the focus of everybody due to the noise. The Air 2s isn't loud, but the Mini is definitely quieter.
Interesting, I’ve seen numerous reports ref signal loss with the new RC , an issue that should of been resolved before release , but it’s the norm with DJI , I’ve always used Velcro to secure pros on my drones that don’t have removable props, Sub 250g is the way to go ! Thanks & regards
Look at the latest range tests which compare both RC's... merely no difference between the 2 (RC even slightly outbeats the N1) with latest firmware.

All good points. Nothing I can't live with. Thanks for the heads up on the props. I'll come up with a solution to secure them. Cheers.
True :), just small enhancements
A tip from my experience with the Mavics and the Minis, the common silicone prop retainers damage the props as well. They apply too much pressure on them and distort them when stored for a while, especially in warm environments or in a hot car. too many times I’ve got a warning msg and the ESC beep and motor warning twitch when I land, indicating which motor has a problem. It was always because of a warped prop. I stopped using the prop keepers and haven’t had the issue since. If you come up with a solution that doesn’t apply elastic pressure to the props and holds them in place in their relaxed state, you will have a hit on your hands!
Excellent straight-up honest review! Very helpful. Thank you very much
I know people who are using a velcro strap to protect the props. did you have any range or signal problems with the new controller as so many people are reporting?
Exactly. Wondering why there is no "influencer" that speak about it, even if it is to either acknowledge or deny the problem...
Can also just use a big rubberband.. europe has really been hammering on the garbage range. Hopefully a firmware update can fix it but got a feeling it's just a shitty antenna
If it is antenna, maybe they can use tge USB port uptop, and use it for an attached antenna that gives u a range boost. Making u pay more money for something it should've had. Just like apple
I didn't. But it's true I haven't made a specific test about it. I don't know if it's people just flying very far and with interferences on purpose. I only fly in the mountains and I haven't had any problem. But I will have to test it further then...
@@WeTalkUAV Looking forward to your unbiased test. We trust you.
Strange that dji would make a prop guard for the mini 2 and not the mini 3 pro
very
Cool! Nice Vid!
The range issues and overheating is absurd. Really considering sticking with my mini 2 and returning the 3.
Also the remote and bag feels so much cheaper and flimsy than the mini 2 fly more kit accessories.
They just added 10bit 422 in D-Cinelike to the Mini 3 Pro! So that makes up for some of its shortcomings!
very well resumed, Alex. Good video, I agree with you!
there u go pee choadi
I get your point but these are rather minor concerns I can dismiss. Battery indicator not much of a problem and the new RC is optional anyway.
Yeah I fully agree. I‘m waiting until the new Controller will work with Air2s too😉
hopefully soon!
Very good points made here. The battery not having a “juice” indicator is a minus, I think they were going for the cool factor I guess, like: “oh, oh, what if we put the indicator light on the back of the drone, that’ll be cool right?”... It’s nice to have a remote with a screen that can screen record,... but is it necessary and worth spending more for? I also agree with the fact that they should’ve at least provided a decent prop guard holder, especially for the money they are asking for this thing. I think this is part of their marketing scheme to milk more money out of the cow by providing these small missing things as after the fact accessories. All in all, there’s no denying that they made another great product but as every drone out there, it needs some improv. Thanks for updating us on this. 👍🏻
Thanks for the vídeo. Another issue: here in my country (Brazil), It seems that mini.3 won't be classified as "under 249 grams". That is pretty bad.
Try fitting the gimbal guard with the drone on. It should hold the camera in a better place. To view screen recording swipe down select Explore under sd card and look in movies. Tap the one you want to watch.
yea i figured a way of getting my pinky finger in a way to hold the gimbal straight...but come on ^^. and about the screen recording, at least when i recorded this video, there wasn't the option. will have to try now if it's possible! thanks for letting me know
@@WeTalkUAV with it turned on the gimbal seems to keep itself straighter. I found that with the mini 2 which is also a pain. But not as bad as the Mavic 2 pro.
DJI could include side sensors in the next version of the drone. There is a video on the internet that shows an accident that occurred because of the lack of these sensors.
You can bet that they held of for version 4. Just like Apple, they could have added it for almost nothing, but it takes away from future versions
Probably a firmware fix for some of your points and as for hardware concerns, accessories could be popping up little by little once the drone gets mass delivered. Waiting for mine!
And how about…..no Audio Input for DJI MIC.-how come??
You should’ve kept that little piece of foam that was packed behind it and put it in every time you put the gimbal cover back on and off that little piece of foam stops the camera from flapping about. I agree with you though could’ve been better designed. And the prop guards yes I know you can put a rubber band around it but really for the price why not included. What are drone how quiet is it oh no I think it could be as good as my air 2s jury still out on that one.
I don’t get the battery point. It’s been this way since Mavic Mini. I actually like this way, as my batteries are either in the drone or in the hub. It’s more intuitive than having to press a button on every battery to check their levels (like what we have on Mavic 3 or Air 2S)
But battery level is very clutch. Sometimes you think the battery is fully charged turn you arrive at the location to fly and you notice the batter is onky 60%. It happened to me before. I have the Mavic 3 and before I take the battery off the hub I’ll check the levels first before putting them in my bag. I go to fly with 3 batteries so I don’t wanna put all three in the drone to find out the level of each battery.
The Mini batteries are still smart batteries with a BMS, even though they have no level indicators. Storing them in the drone or charge hub will shorten their lifespan. Lipo batteries do not like to be at %100 for very long, and they will swell if left at full for too long. The battery management board in the Mini batteries automatically discharge to 95% after a day or two, and to 75% after a week to protect the cells. When the batteries are plugged into the drone or charging hub, the BMS is disabled, and the battery will not self discharge and will hold 100% indefinitely. The longer it’s at 100% each time, the faster the discharge rate will be, resulting in shorter flight times and reduced cycles over the life of the battery, and worst case scenario, swelling and catching fire. Never keep one in the drone. I flip mine around and store in the charging hub backwards so the terminals cannot connect, and I keep the hub in a lipo safe bag if I know I won’t be using it for a week or more. If putting them away long term, like winter time, ideally they should be at about 30% storage charge, 50% max.
Bro check the battery on the hub u can check three at once
you can use simple velcro straps for the 5th thing - they are in use for electric stuffs and cost close to nothing
I prefer velcro straps for that kind of stuff anyhow, if it had a band i'd probably toss it and use the velcro 😆
I’m sure a 3rd Party prop guard will be out there soon, same with filters. The gimbal guard could definitely be better but could possibly be improved by a 3rd party manufacturer. Shame DJI cant do a better stock version of both….
Sleep in today great job have a awesome day air2 s army out
you too my man
That's why my mini 2 is still the champ!
yeaaa
They definitely cheaped out on the flymore combo this time.
Yeah it seams the range is definitely an issue with the mini 3 pro at the moment. Even in fcc
What's the range they're getting on fcc?
The battery thing I can really imagine how annoying it's getting over time. Especially with them decharge after a few days not using them
it issssss
Here's my gripe: no torture test yet. For this & Mavic 3.
Hey, if you don't like these things about it, you can always send it to me :)
hahaha it's just minor details... :P
Thank you for being honest. There are lot more issues with this DJI mini 3 pro.
thank you. yea i'm reading people saying that
New firmware update mini 3 dcinelite is now 10 bit whereas the normal colour is still 8 bit
you didnt do crash test
Just use a elastic band around the drone but not to strong
thhanks!
Pretty sure the autel batteries show u how much is left
they do
I agree on the filter front over £1100 with the rc controller fly more and 2 years dji refresh and no filters i felt cheated on that front. Feel like they are wringing every penny they can out of me as you cannot achieve "pro" recording in so many situations without filters
The Dji "mini 3 pro iybf"
Love your reviews, however, 1. 5 seconds to check? really an issue?. 2. fair call. 3, fair call, but you want something to cost and weight? then something has to give. 4. Good call indeed. 5. Have you heard of Velcro strip??? Cheers all the same and look forward to all your videos.
nano camera way better, bigger FOV and crisper brighter images.
I personally wouldn’t want the controller, I like the big screen on my iPad. I usually sit at a table when flying.
Come on man, all the minis didn't have battery indicator
😉👍
No filters N / A, propeller bands and chargers. Laughter 😡😡😡
Must be nice.. lol
Mikeyyyy it is
The camera is not as good as Nano+ actually
WOW!!
1) Battery - You just have to find a negative. The battery cradle secure the multiple battery when you are traveling. Only make sense the indicator is NOT on the battery. The battery will either be in the drone or cradle, otherwise exposing pins contacts and short it is huge hazard, Sigh.
2) Filter in Flymore kit - Never get one in Mini fly more kit. Get it yourself why complain. Even if it's not out yet that because it's very new, you just have to wait. Common sense.
3) Smart controller - please, get the basic controller if you want to install other apps. What kind of expectation a consumer has when you want the smart RC to include all you want. It was designed and meant for flying the drone and nothing else. Any additional features are bonuses. This is why DJI OFFERS a version with normal controller so you can add your own mobile. I don't believe DJI put a gun to your head to buy the smart controller version.
4) Breaking gimbal/protector - simply user ignorance and bad handling!. I owned 3 drones and never break a gimbal yet (touchwood)
5) Prop storage protector - use a soft elastic band will do the trick! As a matter of fact, using the mini 2 prop storage guard risk the breaking/bending the blade when securing/unsecuring the prop storage guard. No easy way, user just need to be careful and not rough with props. Can only blame the user. Oh wait 70h flight with Mini 2, I have not break blade or gimbal or gimbal cover.
Why complain so much, there is nothing wrong with all the 5 points you mentioned. You just need to set the right expectation. User faults and wrong expectation can only be the reason for all the 5 points mentioned in this video.
Mini 2 is still the winner! 🙌
what ??
??? these are easy fixes lol
For that price at least get rid of the stupid no use but battery draining n extra weight front beacon lights and instead put sensors side n top makes no sense to have obstacle avoidance if you can't detect your sides and top 🤷 and at least a filter or two or three or stop acting like a cell phone company n being cheap and give us at least the power plug 🔌👀😡
What a whiner. No mini battery has EVER had a power level meter on the battery. ND filters are coming. If they are that important to you, you could have delayed your review…. Either be more careful with the props, or make something to hold them. It almost seems like you are just trying to find something to complain about. Maybe for the clickbait? Worked for me.
5 most stupid things I have heard about DJI mini 3 PRO...
you're for real? meh
course...not
