    You can check the Screen recording on the remote, from the main start screen tap "Album" in the lower left of the screen, then on the top middle of the selection screen tap twice the "App Album" dropdown "V" then select either "Phone Album" or "Movies" ... they both contain your screen recordings dropdown, select the screen recording you want to view then hit play! BOOM! done!!

    I do not have a Mini 3 Pro, but I thought I saw a video where you can get to the Android operating system by sliding down from the top of the controller display. When demoed it looked a bit finicky, but give it a try. It may be what you need?

  • @mustachio118

    DJI would probably release protective accessories when they start mass delivering the drones. For now, I can make do with a velcro for props holder.

  • @troyl8605
    @troyl8605 Před rokem

    The rotor protection is an easy fix. I have the Mavic Pro and I bought one set of replacement rotors and it came with a Velcro strap do keep the rotors from flopping about and getting damaged. It even says "Mavic Pro" on the strap. I do agree that would be an extremely easy upgrade to any DJI drone sold, even at the very bare-bones minimum purchase. In the volume that DJI sells drones, adding this strap would be maybe 0.25 cents each. Part of what you listed is why I absolutely hate and do not understand why the 249 gram limit is such a big selling point. The FAA can track you and your drone easily and the FAA has your drone on their radar when you turn it on and even before you have time to get the drone into the air, so all you're doing is getting a drone with fewer features to keep the drone at the 249 gram limit. This drone also doesn't have a built in cooling fan to keep the chip from overheating as part of the "cutting the fat" to keep the drone at the 249 gram cap. The only real pro's of the Mini 3 Pro are the remote with screen and a camera that rotates from landscape to portrait. The con's are the light weight which make it less stable in wind, it is a 12 MP camera versus the 20 MP camera on the Air 2s, the Mini has a .76 inch sensor versus the full 1 inch sensor in the Air 2s which means the Air 2s will have a better dynamic range in addition to the much higher photo resolution. The Air 2s records in 5.4K (or is it 5.7K) video which means you can do more stabilization in post production since currently there are very few screens working past 4k. I consider the 249 gram limit putting most drones at that limit more or less into a nice toy range versus a fully functional drone. One other nice feature of the Mini 3 Pro is the lighter drone is much quieter, so you're not the focus of everybody due to the noise. The Air 2s isn't loud, but the Mini is definitely quieter.

    Interesting, I’ve seen numerous reports ref signal loss with the new RC , an issue that should of been resolved before release , but it’s the norm with DJI , I’ve always used Velcro to secure pros on my drones that don’t have removable props, Sub 250g is the way to go ! Thanks & regards

    • @scottthroop6208
      @scottthroop6208 Před 2 lety +1

      A tip from my experience with the Mavics and the Minis, the common silicone prop retainers damage the props as well. They apply too much pressure on them and distort them when stored for a while, especially in warm environments or in a hot car. too many times I’ve got a warning msg and the ESC beep and motor warning twitch when I land, indicating which motor has a problem. It was always because of a warped prop. I stopped using the prop keepers and haven’t had the issue since. If you come up with a solution that doesn’t apply elastic pressure to the props and holds them in place in their relaxed state, you will have a hit on your hands!

    @DroneSyndrome Před 2 lety

    Very good points made here. The battery not having a “juice” indicator is a minus, I think they were going for the cool factor I guess, like: “oh, oh, what if we put the indicator light on the back of the drone, that’ll be cool right?”... It’s nice to have a remote with a screen that can screen record,... but is it necessary and worth spending more for? I also agree with the fact that they should’ve at least provided a decent prop guard holder, especially for the money they are asking for this thing. I think this is part of their marketing scheme to milk more money out of the cow by providing these small missing things as after the fact accessories. All in all, there’s no denying that they made another great product but as every drone out there, it needs some improv. Thanks for updating us on this. 👍🏻

    You should’ve kept that little piece of foam that was packed behind it and put it in every time you put the gimbal cover back on and off that little piece of foam stops the camera from flapping about. I agree with you though could’ve been better designed. And the prop guards yes I know you can put a rubber band around it but really for the price why not included. What are drone how quiet is it oh no I think it could be as good as my air 2s jury still out on that one.

  • @WangOrange
    @WangOrange Před 2 lety +5

    I don’t get the battery point. It’s been this way since Mavic Mini. I actually like this way, as my batteries are either in the drone or in the hub. It’s more intuitive than having to press a button on every battery to check their levels (like what we have on Mavic 3 or Air 2S)

    • @shuggfilmzandstudio2354
      @shuggfilmzandstudio2354 Před 2 lety

      But battery level is very clutch. Sometimes you think the battery is fully charged turn you arrive at the location to fly and you notice the batter is onky 60%. It happened to me before. I have the Mavic 3 and before I take the battery off the hub I’ll check the levels first before putting them in my bag. I go to fly with 3 batteries so I don’t wanna put all three in the drone to find out the level of each battery.

    • @scottthroop6208
      @scottthroop6208 Před 2 lety

      The Mini batteries are still smart batteries with a BMS, even though they have no level indicators. Storing them in the drone or charge hub will shorten their lifespan. Lipo batteries do not like to be at %100 for very long, and they will swell if left at full for too long. The battery management board in the Mini batteries automatically discharge to 95% after a day or two, and to 75% after a week to protect the cells. When the batteries are plugged into the drone or charging hub, the BMS is disabled, and the battery will not self discharge and will hold 100% indefinitely. The longer it’s at 100% each time, the faster the discharge rate will be, resulting in shorter flight times and reduced cycles over the life of the battery, and worst case scenario, swelling and catching fire. Never keep one in the drone. I flip mine around and store in the charging hub backwards so the terminals cannot connect, and I keep the hub in a lipo safe bag if I know I won’t be using it for a week or more. If putting them away long term, like winter time, ideally they should be at about 30% storage charge, 50% max.

    @peterjmsyoung Před 2 lety +2

    WOW!!
    1) Battery - You just have to find a negative. The battery cradle secure the multiple battery when you are traveling. Only make sense the indicator is NOT on the battery. The battery will either be in the drone or cradle, otherwise exposing pins contacts and short it is huge hazard, Sigh.
    2) Filter in Flymore kit - Never get one in Mini fly more kit. Get it yourself why complain. Even if it's not out yet that because it's very new, you just have to wait. Common sense.
    3) Smart controller - please, get the basic controller if you want to install other apps. What kind of expectation a consumer has when you want the smart RC to include all you want. It was designed and meant for flying the drone and nothing else. Any additional features are bonuses. This is why DJI OFFERS a version with normal controller so you can add your own mobile. I don't believe DJI put a gun to your head to buy the smart controller version.
    4) Breaking gimbal/protector - simply user ignorance and bad handling!. I owned 3 drones and never break a gimbal yet (touchwood)
    5) Prop storage protector - use a soft elastic band will do the trick! As a matter of fact, using the mini 2 prop storage guard risk the breaking/bending the blade when securing/unsecuring the prop storage guard. No easy way, user just need to be careful and not rough with props. Can only blame the user. Oh wait 70h flight with Mini 2, I have not break blade or gimbal or gimbal cover.
    Why complain so much, there is nothing wrong with all the 5 points you mentioned. You just need to set the right expectation. User faults and wrong expectation can only be the reason for all the 5 points mentioned in this video.
