Thank you. I have not made nor sent a card since this pandemic began. But a few weeks ago I decided to pull out all of my card kits that I have not worked on. Now I’m accumulating cards and this morning I was sitting here looking at them and wondering what I could say in side. Then I came across this video and memories galore begins to rush my brain. Thank you very much for sharing your talents.
How nice of you to share your ideas on inside card messages. While I often use stamped sentiments, there are those special people in my life to whom I want to write a more personal message. Thank you!
I just made several autumn cards that I intend to send this week. Your video came at a perfect time. I’m a widow and of course I’m alone in these Covid times. I was missing my friends so made a stack of cards. Now I can write “remember when ..... missing you so much “. Thank you
Beth Jackson: Making cards and sending them has been so rewarding for me. I’ve felt more connected and happy even though I may only get a text back or no reply at all. I feel uplifted by the creativity and the goodwill gesture. It’s been interesting how I’ve thought less about my situation and more about ‘who else can I write to” I want to start making my Christmas cards now.
It never occurred to me to ask the question of "what do you write inside of your cards". I am so glad someone thought to ask. I love the tips! And I registered for your Christmas watercolor online class - super excited!
Thanks for this great topic, Kristina! I word-process the messages in my cards, so they can be specific, especially for ones I make for the church’s card team. It’s easy to set up a template to fit various card sizes. Personal messages are really important to people. I like your idea of including a memory! 💌
What a blessing to all of us it would be if you could come up with more pdf's of meaningful message ideas to write inside cards! These are FANTASTIC and HEARTFELT! Thank you, Kristina! Kind regards!
That is always the hardest part for me and you’ve just taken the stress straight out of it. Thank you Kristina, I’m heading over for your free download right now. Love your videos 😊
Great video Kristina! Those of us making cards KNOW that social media machines will NEVER compete with handmade, personal cards and adding sentimental, very personal words makes it clear how you really care about the recipient. Thanks for great tips for those days when just the right words don’t come as easy. You are appreciated!
Thanks for the video with the tips for writing messages. I struggle with that many times, and actually have pulled out a blank piece of paper to work out what I want to say! Enjoy your tips and tricks, and all of your videos!
Such great tips, Kristina! Personalizing the message makes it much for meaningful for the recipient. Love your examples! A few years ago a friend of mine who sends tons of cards told me she always writes her message on a practice sheet, just as you suggessted, so I started doing the same and it definitely helps me be more succinct and conversational in my messages. Also looking forward to your watercoloring class!
I love your videos! They are so well done and professional. I signed up for the Christmas watercolor class and I'm so excited!! Loved the summer card camp classes also. Fantastic stuff :)
I’m actually cleaning off my craft desk in an attempt to procrastinate actually writing the cards I’ve been needing to write. Ugh. Fiiiiinnnneeee! I’ll go write them!
These are AWESOME tips!! I am so great at making cards but have a hard time sending them because I feel like I have to write a book...and don't have the time for it. I adore your idea of sharing a memory. You are so darn CLEVER!!! And now I am going to sign up for your class. I CANNOT WAIT!!!
Thank you for the watercolor class! I bought the original one, and look forward to this one; even though, I do not celebrate Christmas. I am certain I learn some great things/
Great video! I always write my message first so I can edit. I also often write my message on a separate piece of paper and then glue it in the inside of the card. That way if I make a mistake, I just get a new piece of paper not a whole new card.
Thank you for your good tips😍 I often get this question from friends and family when they buy a card from me, so I think i will print out your PDF, laminate it and show it to them when they ask 😄
This was great! Sometimes I feel like I put so much love into the making of the card that I don't spend enough time phrasing the message. Ha! Using colour coordinated pens also is a nice touch for the message/signature.
Kristina, you are so wonderful and talented!!! Thanks for sharing all of this great information!! I look forward to learning more about postage and shipping. ❤
Fabulous video Kristina! Love the pdf reference too. I've shared this with my non-cardmaking friends who share that they struggle with writing in the inside of cards. :)
Wonderful tips!! I sometimes get hung up on words and write the same things over and over. Can you please give us tips for sympathy cards, esp. if you don't know the family well.
We’ve been using our “stamp therapy” to enjoy making cards, but then sending them to Bring Smiles to Seniors so they can get passed on to seniors in nursing homes. We don’t have a personal memory to share with them, but can still be uplifting and encouraging. I like to ask them about “their favorite vacation” or “favorite fishing trip” ... something to prompt them to recall a memory that makes them happy. :) Thanks for your tips!
I really don’t struggle with messages in the inside of my cards, but I appreciate your suggestions!! I wonder though, and others may as well, what you write for those you’ve never met in person.
GREAT VIDEO!! Thank you!! I just got a great set from Simon Says that you can stamp on an insert so the person can recycle my card. It’s not always appropriate (ie: birthday) but during the past months it’s been fun to send a smile and maybe they’ll share the smile.
Thank you so much for the tips! I struggle a lot to figure out what to write sometimes! Mostly, I struggle to find things to write about to people from church that I’ve been thinking about but don’t know very well. If you have any ideas for such instances, I’d love to hear them. Thanks again! ❤️
You are darling! I am ready for my Christmas tree too, lol, I asked my hubby to bring it to the house but he said " its to early" I am glad i am not the only one that it ready for Christmas time. love your videos :) blessing mary k
Thanks for these great ideas! I’m signed up for your simply watercolor class, but haven’t gotten very far. I’m across the country without my watercolor supplies!
Thank you for Sharing. I needed some new ideas. I found many years ago a small book at the bookstore that I go to way to often. Called "thinking of you a card greeting for every occasion". Published by Hinkler out of Australia in 2010.
I wish the stamp manufactures would come up with suggestions like you did with a blank spot. I really am bored with the same sentiments across the board of manufactures. So cool. Maybe you could design these stamps for SSS or etc. would be great!!!
Love these tips - thank you it’s hard for me to remember to write it on a piece of paper first then I’m using white out or something else great tips thank you and you look so pretty love your hair

Can we not wait until Halloween is over??? Take the tree down and put up a ghost! 👻💀🎃
Audrey, for me since I have to design product so far in advance, Halloween was in June. It’s been Christmas since July here. 🤣
