    Hello all! Whew! Today's video is long but packed with useful information about no-line watercoloring. I've heard many of you ask for more real-time watercoloring instruction, especially when it comes to slightly more advanced techniques like no-line watercoloring. For these cards I used the adorable Butterfly Kisses stamp set from Lawn Fawn. Aren't these critters so cute?!

    I love watching real time videos of you painting. Also, I feel the result is reminiscent of like old-time Winnie the Pooh. Like something for a baby blanket feel. It's hard to describe what I mean, but it's a loving and fuzzy warm feeling when you see the final result.

    O.k. Now these 3 Cards are my favorites 🥰😊😊😊❤❣ I Love the Regular time "Long" Video tutorials. This is my go to favorite with the little critters and the Story Time Look. I should of stayed with my degree in College for cartoonist storybook illustrator. But I was confused and didn't know if I really wanted to be one true cartoons and coloring books story books all the time or an architect. But seeing your freckin adorable little critters painted like story book characters. I missed my calling. My 4 daughters even keep reminding me of it😩😟😖 But I'm o.k.with that. I really enjoy your long tutorials watching you paint and listening to your voice is so soothing, I could listen to you all day and night long as you paint Sweetheart 🥰😊❤❣ Kristina Thank You once again for an outstanding tutorial. Sending Blessings and prayers to you for a speedy recovery and your strength back. You are just like my CZcams Family, so now I'll say Love Ya❤😊❣

    Thanks Kristina...This video really helped me to appreciate moving slowly with no line watercolor. I know CZcamsrs often feel pressured to shorten videos, which is understandable in this fast paced world. It does help however, to see the real side of things sometimes. Those of us who really enjoy or need the longer tutorials, certainly are willing to spend the extra time watching. I for one am inspired to slow down in my own practice sessions.

      YES!!!!!! I'm happy to see this comment; nearly every time I'm watching a video, no matter whose it is, when they have music playing, I'm out of there. Drives me nuts. I think it's because my mind is in a different mode and therefore the music is a distraction and an annoyance. Kristina has nice music selections, but when I'm watching a video, I either mute it when the music comes on as I fast forward through small sections in order to get the gist of what she's doing, and then move on. I adore her real time videos! :-) She has a soothing voice and I like hearing her speak; she's natural, intelligent, clear, cogent, and cute. Many people annoy me because their manner is too uptight, too school teacher-ish, too jarring in their odd diction.....whatever. LOL Kristina doesn't do any of those things and hits the right note for me in each of her videos, so it's a shame to have music play! :-) Geez, glad I removed that weight from my mind. Already! Silly me!

    • @ahreftasha
      @ahreftasha Před 5 lety +1

      @@julielynn86 yes! I honestly don't care what they talk about as long as they don't play music. Idkw because I actually love music, but for me this is a social craft, so if you haven't got anything technical to say please share! That's why I love Kelly Latavola she is my absolute favorite! You're right I absolutely love when they have a personality! Kristina is adorable she should talk about her cats more! Lol

    • @julielynn86
      @julielynn86 Před 5 lety +1

      @@ahreftasha Hi Natasha! Yes I agree! It is social...the second the music comes on it's like we've been sealed off.....although I cannot stand when music is playing in the background of the voice over. Drives me nuts. Kristina is adorable! Her personality tickles me and it is delightful to hang out with her and create along with her in a video. :-) I will check out your suggestion. Thank you!!!

    I enjoy the real-time painting because it gives me a good feel for how long it's going to take. It's easier to refer back to see exactly how you do things.
    I have difficulty in achieving nice smooth gradients without harsh lines and I tend to refer back to real-time videos like this one a lot. The real-time painting also gives me confidence when things don't go according to plan, in this instance the first time you put in the cheek colour.
    In some of the sped-up painting videos, even playing it at a slower speed .25 or .5, it sometimes is hard to see exactly what's happening.
    It's easier for me to speed up a real-time video than slow down a sped-up video.

Thanks for doing it in real time so I could see exactly what you were doing and how long it takes. I'm a visual/hands-on learner. I would love to see more videos like this one. I saw how you did your grass but I've tried that too with no success. I would like to see more of how to do that and also how to choose the right colors. Thankyou SO much for such a great and in depth tutorial. I especially liked that some of it was in real time to give newbies to watercoloring like me a realistic idea of what's "normal" and so not to have unreal self expectations. Thankyou very much.

    What a wonderful tutorial. It was great to see the real time painting of the bear and hear your explanations. I am in love with these images; they remind me of my original Beatrix Potter paintings that I inherited. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent.

    Thank you Kristina for this video. It is a wonderful video for beginners. You explained everything very well. It is so hard to find a video that explains in detail unless you pay for it and even then at times they don’t explain everything so well. Please take care and stay safe. ~Barbara

    Oh, Kristina...I am giving you the biggest hug right now! I've wanted to try this technique for soooo long now, but could not get up the courage to do so. I never thought of using all my distress ink pads as my medium. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents in a way that both builds confidence in us who are novices as well as provides an awesome step-by-step account of exactly how to approach no-line water coloring. ❤ P.S. Your little critters are adorable and I loved watching them come to life as you colored them in!

    I really enjoyed seeing you paint the little bear in real time! Lately I've been working in my coloring books more so I know how long it takes to color, but I've really been missing my watercolors. I've made a note to give this a try with some of my Greeting Farm stamps!
