I ended up framing a card I made with a print… so beautiful I wanted to keep it. It’s still on it’s card base so if I ever want to change it I can still send it as a card 😂
That’s why i always make 2 of the same card. One to give away and one for myself 😊

7:03 I have found that some of my paper (Recollection in particular) is not cut square. I struggled for a couple of years thinking it was my scoring boards, but it was actually the paper.

My daughter needed a bunch of cards for Christmas and I shower how to use an embossing folder. She called it smashing the card. She love how easy and fast it was.

I have trouble lining up mats, etc, but I really don't worry about it. It is what it is. My nemesis would be cleaning my stamps and putting them back on the sheet. 😬

Use the dandelion from the sorry stamp kit and ghost stamp the flower inside with clear ink.

One thing I found is that the paper may not be exactly 11 x 8 1/2 but slightly larger. If that is the case trim a sliver off and then when you score your fold will be even

I went to London for the first time, got off the tube, looked up and saw Big Ben and said WOW I was very impressed, I love it, we were taught at school bout Big Ben and couldn’t believe I was in London. I’m from Australia.

So pleased to see you use our A4 card, I always use this size and make uour cards with that, gets a bit complicated with some cuts but always turns out just right xxx
You could also emboss with stencils!!! Just need a rubber mat for your die cutting machine!!

Maymay, I did this with students back k in the 80's using a bic pen with a cap on and cut card board to "emboss" by tracing the shape. We used wooden die cuts to trace as well. Embossing is easy.

I have trouble reading measurements and knowing how to cut them out. Which is length and width and is length horizontal or vertical?
I like to decorate the envelope simply because it is “happy mail” when they open the mail box. It doesn’t matter to me if they keep the envelope. I just want to bless their day if nothing else does that day.
lol when you didn’t score the card base bc I gave up scoring a looong time ago, unless it’s some of my super thick cardstock. This card idea is a great one. And let me tell you who is getting them….anyone that I sent one of my fabulous cards to that took me hours to make and the person didn’t even acknowledge they got the card 😂 MayMay comes thru again! Seriously though… I’ve sent a few cards that are literally pieces of mixed media art (I’m an artist and I love making cards) and I’m just sayin’ not everyone is worth the effort 😂😂
I use washi tape to decorate white envelopes. Goes through the mail just fine.
My nemesis is imagination. I have none. I watch all kinds of tutorials to get ideas.

What’s the difference between a Gemini die cutting machine and a Cricut maker?
Die cutting machines use a metal “die” to apply pressure to paper and “cut” out the shape.
A cricut machine uses digital software to guide a blade to cut out designs. But it can also cut fabric, leather, balsa wood, vinyl, etc. It can use pens to draw or write. Some of them can use other tools to score paper, engrave acrylic or metal, etc.
A die cutting machine can also “emboss” paper and I’m honestly not sure a cricut can do that. 🤔
