I used the battery tender hack in highschool for about a month while I saved up for an alternator. That clip gave me flashbacks, hahaha.
Honestly, I may be more of a rms fan than base donut at this point. Rms has been so consistently well done lately and I always know what I’m getting from this channel.
The days of donut producing uniform shows seems to be behind them. Sure they have cool videos and some great ones still get dropped but it’s hard to look forward to it as much when you’re not sure which direction they are going each time.
I always know Sandro and Angelina are going to bring jokes and insight to video commentary on this channel and that is a complete W.
The chemistry here is great. Sandro and Angelina were great from the start, but I'm loving seeing them get even better
I love it! Been watching since they started out, and they were great back then, but it feels like they've throughout the series become better and better friends, and more and more comfortable. Its great.

Another great concept would be Folkrace. In that rally-style competition you are capped at about $600 to buy and bild your car, which you race on a dirt track.
I have never once wanted to go to a demolition derby. Too loud, too many people, and I am shy and introverted. But I would 100% go to that demolition derby and be screaming in the front row.

It’s really great that this videos are essentially supportive of the hacks and don’t just punch down at them. It’s really refreshing.
One of the guys in my high school class built a car for his senior project and entered it into the demolition derby.
We all went to watch him perform, and we all petitioned the project committee to give him extra credit because he won.

4:56 I like seeing when Sandro gets his serious “figure things out” look, and starts working things out. You can see when he stops joking around briefly and the synapses fire in his experienced mechanics brain. Then he snaps back to the banter and the jokes.
As a blacksmith, I've seen other smiths fade out like that while they're figuring out how something is built and then jump in the fun and build the same thing their way.
My momma ran the business side of my blacksmithing business when I was in my teens, but there was nothin she loved better than popping into the forge and help figure out a way to build a tool that was durable, modular and eye pleasing too. She also enjoyed smithing small, but delicate things too.
My folks were my best freinds and I miss them dearly. They gave me ideas for some of my favorite tools and designs for engraving on custom pieces. They also taught me how to hand engrave and how to make my own gravers and extremely light graving hammer's.
I like that Sandro and Angelina were so good in their first few videos that they have become this channels host, we don't need the donut crew when we got real mechanics.
Yes, their rapport is Top Gear levels but with mechanical car knowledge. I'd be down for ANYTHING they do together.

Angelina getting all super technical on the functionality of a distributor then blurting out, "...just for funsies" is one of the things I love about these two. They very obviously know their stuff and at the same time are just being themselves. They're informative, enjoyable, and wholesome. This series is definitely going to be going on for YEARS, so long as they keep these two as their car-clip anchors.
I've used a forklift to repair an exaust.
Just balance it good so closer to the engine.
For safety i tested the balance with the wheels just of the ground.
Worked like a treat.

My two favorite people on this channel. It’s great to see just them in a video, they play off each other’s commentary so well.

Shop I worked at. We had a customer. She was a sweet older lady and she broke the timing belt on her neon. We suggested tearing it down to see the damage. She didn't really have a lot of money so we threw a timing belt set on it. She lost cylinder 3 and be explained to her that she would probably need a new cylinder head. The temporary solution we came up with was to unplug the number 3 fuel injector so it wasn't dumping fuel and burning up the cat or anything and let her keep driving it. She drove it for a year. Was happy that she even got better. Gas mileage didn't notice a lack in power and probably would have kept driving it if she could have gotten inspection sticker with a check engine light on
We need further research on this neon. My first car (allegedly) had a con rod break and significantly noticable loss of power. Was able to limp it to its final parking spot but knew it was on its last leg. Anyways id like to hear or see how long that neon couldve gone if tested 😂

yeah for a min there i was thinking, she seems like she wants to be an automotive tech teacher at a tech/trade school. but goddamn, imagine the 18yr old dudes in those classes with a teacher as hot as her. nobody would be listening, and they'd constantly be hitting on her. she's too hot to be a teacher.

Sandro and Angelina are great on their own, but together they are amazing. They play off of each other so well.
Angie's laugh just makes the day better and Sandro's jokes are always on point. Putting these two together was the formula.

I know NOTHING about cars, except that I have one. I come back weekly looking for a new video from these two awesome people! They have such great chemistry and make learning both FUN and relatable. I have no room to talk, I drove around with a 2X10 for a front bumper for a few months. After fixing other people's trucks all day, the last thing I felt like doin' when I got home, was fixing mine.
I did the same thing with my old Bronco a few years ago.
My brother has a 4x4 as a front bumper on his old jeep, its super tough, absorbs shock, and is pretty cheap to replace
Back in the day that was a normal replacement back bumper! If you painted it that meant you cared.
My f250 has Half inch thick sheet metal for a front bumper
Had a 4 X 4 for a motor mount in my Hardbody Nissan ….. worked great until it would light on fire from the exhaust manifold 😂

I had a 150cc scooter that I was using for DoorDash, and I hooked up a Walmart toddler cart to the back of it that you’re supposed to hook up to a bicycle. I thought it was the dumbest looking thing and I was expecting to get laughed at. My customers that saw it thought it was the neatest looking thing. Also… those toddler carts are well built. It lasted about 4k miles with most of it being 50mph.

@@turbodude nah. They have two wheels and can carry up to two toddlers using seat belts. I cut the seats out, and then shoved in a large plastic container with towels.
That is straight up genius, the pizza tower scooters more commonly used must get so top heavy when fully loaded. My only concerns would be it losing a wheel or becoming unbalanced and tipping the bike, and maybe lane splitting/filtering but depending on area and local laws it might not really matter. Great thinking but I'm also glad you made it out alive 😅
These videos are the highlight of my week. I’m an old man and I have a very short list of CZcams creators that I absolutely don’t miss. Obviously RMS and Doug DeMuro and Forgotten Weapons and Brain Blaze. These are my absolute favorite addictions. The chemistry between these hosts are epic and you can tell by how fast this channel has grown even if it spawned from a larger channel and audience. These creators cannot create these pieces of content fast enough for me. Thank you for all the effort vested in this venture and I look forward to more greatness in the future. Demo derby would be badass! Fantastic! I once made it about 30 miles on just a battery. I didn't know my alternator was dead until I got the battery light and the truck quit. Angelina and Sandro are the bomb together!

This might have been my favorite Sandro and Angelina video to date. I'd use this one to introduce someone to Real Mechanic Stuff; it had everything; their goofy banter, the knowledgable explanations, their natural humor, etc.
I don't know a lot about car mechanics but Angelina and Sandro made me laugh out loud a couple of times here just because of their sheer enthousiasme.
Apart from the incredible chemistry, I’m just so in awe of the sheer knowledge these 2 have!

The real mechanic stuff is probably one of my favorite channels. I remember when I first started watching it when sandi and Angela first showed up I was kinda on the fence on the channel. Now whenever I see a new video especially with them on I am like goldfish getting getting food. I rush to it and gulp it all up haha. They are funny and know what they are talking about, super love it

Alright, alright, let's slow down folks. Yes, I'm very happy Sandro and Angela have basically taken over Real Mechanic Stuff, their fantastic. We get some all star guests in some videos, but I don't know why they don't just let them run with it.
As much as I want to see them race, that demo derby bit is actually a good idea for all of Donut.
Hear me out, Donut covers so many aspects of car culture they've basically replaced what was Top Gear.
I would love to see all of their team be involved in the demo derby side of things.
-Each team gets some small amount of money to buy a car and retrofit it, via the various online marketplaces.
--High car gets twice as much of course.
-They get additional money to buy add on parts to fit on their disposable car.
-Multiple videos of each team buffing their car, the best released on youtube the rest available via subscription.
-The grand finally is a total battle royal but completely controlled via rules so no one gets hurt.
--Hey that already happens in "most" destruction derbies, maybe a deep dive video into the limitations would be fun.
-I think Joby's team would win even though it's a thought experiment and I don't know the lineup.
I would easily watch 30 videos of that over multiple months.
Season 2 could bring in other car culture content creators.
The Fireball overflow tank is what really sets it apart from other builds.
If it breaks you can always pick up another from the side of the road!

I actually did the forklift thing as a lift in the mid '90's. Had a Honda CRX and worked in a warehouse for a major grocery store chain. Worked night shift and could pull the car into the warehouse and lifted the car with a forklift (sometimes a reach truck) and would rotate my tires that way.
We need a Sandro / Angelina outtakes or bloopers video. I'm sure there's some priceless moments that don't make it to the final cut.
I think these two finally realize how much we love them!
Fun fact: To protect your engine you (generally/preferably) BACK into the competition in a demolition derby.

@isk8nyc it's not that deep bro, just some jokes for the viewers. In a garage environment jokes like that fly by lots
as a former aircon technician: the fuel pump hack, hose clamps will hold if you use the right fittings. these things can do beyond 200 psi, 50 to 60 psi is nothing.
The fireball coolant reservoir on the first one was amazing. I want a full review of that rig!

I literally did that with a forklift at my work today....as long as your car is less weight than the forklifts max capacity you will be perfectly okay...as long as the forks go all the way under the car,if you have 6k lbs on the tip of the forks it could be bad news.

5:00 That's a Fiat 147 from Brasil. Cheap car, very common in poor and rural areas, so parts are sometimes not a thing. You can even find some of them with 110cc motorcycle engine swaps due to parts availability. As long as it runs, it's good

I would so love a mini-series of these two building their derby cars and taking them out to a local demolition race. It would be cool seeing them buy the car, fix any problems it has and outfit it to be safe
A demolition derby is mo' fun than a mug! My brother and I kind of had one on the way to our Mom's house on Christmas morning way back in the early '00s. We both had old beaters. His was a mid-80s Buick Skyhawk, and I was in an '86 Buick Somerset. My car had a digital dash that completely blinked out a month after I bought it (and the Knight Rider dash is the whole reason I got it!); windows that didn't roll down; no working blower for heat or A/C; and a small boom box screwed into the dash where a stereo should be. Needless to say, I didn't care about *this* car. At all.
So when he pulled up behind me in my parking spot and just sat there, I backed right into his car and forced him out of the way. Soon we were chasing and ramming each other down stretches of old country back roads with our girlfriends screaming their heads off the whole way! Needless to say things were a bit chaotic by the time we arrived at Mom's! Good times.
Highly recommended!!!
