Crazy find hopefully this has a place in your build looking forward to the progress👍🏾
Great video.
Studio RSR does some cool work. I saw one BMW not just rear roll cage but also the front and it still had full interior.
I love seeing all the support of smaller, local businesses on your channel!
I’m happy to do so!!
I want to see a Twin Turbo S65 swapped F80 M3 if that isn't too much to ask
S65's are higher compression with dual vanos and ITB's. To have a reliable usable twin turbo S65, you would firstly need to remove the ITB's, secondly remove the dual vanos, and thirdly go for lower compression forged pistons. That's a lot of changes on an already expensive engine that's designed to be naturally aspirated. Then you would need to convert it and do a load of custom fabrication work to be able to accommodate two turbo's. Crazy expensive and a load of time and work.
Be easier, make more sense and be cheaper to do a twin turbo conversion on the M62B44 engine.
Loved this video. Feels like I was in there with you guys taking the tour
Thank you!!
1:30 dude sweeping in the back 🤣🤣. Nice shop .
😂
was just at studio RSR today for a job on my car, love it there. definitely one of the cooler shops in OC
I think you would benefit from vac motorsport front tension bushes, solid rear subframe bushes and spl rear arm kit 😉
Whaaaat!? That’s what I want for my track build 😲
I want to hear this thing start up!!!
@@SpencerBerke me too!
Really good video I didn’t know most of this. Super interesting to know
Spencer you’ve got to get this engine and matched wit the eventuri carbon plenum 💯
Dude that would be sick!!!’
The cage will help you put power down, no matter what direction the steer is. It adds weight tho. But it is also a safe option as well, why not? If you have a go fast car get a roll cage. It will save your life one day.
🙋🏼♂️ awesome content !
I Wish to have that stoker I'm my daily 😄.Very good video my best wishes to your channel.
I want it too, lol! Thank you!!
I am curious what the name of the engine builder is from Turner…
Thats 🔥
So gnarly.
So 4.4 the best choice then a 4.7 stroke I’m learning on strokes engine my bad
What’s up with the blk e60 m5?
Why don’t Mike Mai use this engine in his E90 M3!?
Wow. F’n drool.
That's the owner/founder of Studio RSR right? that's sick
It is!
If that m4 is still for sale I’d buy it
i love my vac 4.4L.
Is that M4 still for sale??
Early! Quick question: why go with the 4 door for a purpose built race car? Wouldn’t the coupe be a better performer with identical mods? And won’t the rear seats become obsolete anyways?
I've driven both pretty hard. I feel the E90 is more balanced. The rear is 1 inch wider compared to the E92. It also has better driving position when you get lower seat brackets. If you have no sunroof and do a carbon roof, your center of gravity is so much better in my opinion on the E90. I can control the rear end better and my turn-in to corners with the E90 is more responsive. That's just my thought. Plus, E90 looks better. :)
@@SpencerBerke facts. Having both the e90 and e92, the e90 feels more planted, more balanced
Saloons have less body flex aswell due to the B pillar. Hence why they feel more stable and planted
Nice motor
HEY LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE 4.4 STROKER MOTOR PLS
to many bad reviews on this place
I bought a half cage from them that took 6 months and was not well made at all. The mount points did not sit flat to the chassis, powder coat was all messed up, weld spatter, etc.
@@adamg4699 i believe it lol.
thats messed up lol
I wasn’t going to go all negative on them but you can definitely see the poor craftsmanship of theirs when looking at Alex Choi car in person with those “monkey bars”. The welds are atrocious and should be defitinely considered a safety hazzard.
I wanted to ask where you found you e90 I’m trying to hunt for an e92 but I’m having no luck :/ beautiful car btw!
I checked CarGurus, AutoTrader, Cars, EBAY, Craigslist and forums every day for 3 months. I found it on Autotrader.
Also M3post, Facebook or BAT
I need that in my car
What's the name of the company
Are you going to track build the e90
Yeah!
someone needs to explain to the people in this video that roll cages are safety equipment, not show car mods.
Always invest in safety equipment, brakes, belts, seats and cage will always be your best bet.
And they look cool
Je vendrait un rein pour une M3 e46 e36
You still have the F80?
I sold it awhile ago! 3-4 months or so.
Let me buy the bmw just wait for amc to go up in price 👁👅👁
If a stock 4.0 s65 eats rod bearings what will a stroker engine do to them? Same displacement as a M3 GTS/CRT…
I had 164k+ miles on original bearings. It’s all about the driver, proper warmup, regularity of use (the more often the better), and lighter weight oil for street use. The engine was pulling just as strong at 164k miles as when it was at 20k miles. These engines are solid. 0w-40 every 7k miles and the cars bearings will last. The internet blew it out the wAter bc it was 100% bespoke race engine with real wins in P65 form as well as S65 in 4 and 4.4l. The LCI cars are solid as long as the previous owners didn’t beat on it cold. It’s an engine for grown-ups and a gift that keeps on giving. S65 and S85 are two of the best all time engines for the street and track. This was back in 2005-2007!!!!
The M3 MMMMMMMIAM
Did anyone buy Ian's M4???
