@@niewissen9912 no straight cut..it is a dkg transmission, the sound you mean is the diff, like the first comment said.
Agreed e9Xs were the cars that got be into BMWs. They hold a special place in my heart I love them deeply.
Well, for a last and first lap, it was pretty epic. The sound in the cabin was wonderful.
i don't think it was his first lap...he said in the start that he had only done 19 ring laps with the car since buying it....

I had one of those M3s and it was a fun car. That engine just loved to rev.
Sad that he is selling this beast. Interested to see what sort of GT car he has in mind. Extremely good driving as always. Btw I think his helmet is a tribute to his pet turtle. Hulk hasn't got anything to do with it. I might be wrong tho.

i remember my lap with robert in his e92 on a trackday in 2018. I was amazed how much grip a RWD car could produce. amazing cars !!

yaya..the car the car.......but this guy is a very good driver. one of the best lap i've seen on this channel. a shame there was so many cuts in the filming..the car seems very well balanced and suspended ,but the dude can drive and knows how to slides a car , at the opposite of many drivers..................

This car is a pure driver's car for car enthusiasts and racers. If you don't absolutely love the track it won't speak to you. However if you do it's a perfect partner for fun and excitement

Straight cut gears? Thinking of those people who said your Porsche’s squeaky brakes were unacceptable. This sounds like sweet music to my ears.
I may be wrong but I'm sure I've read before that it is solid diff bushings that cause the whining noise

The whining sound is typical when the locking differential (and rear axle) has upgraded rigid/uniball mounts.
Gearbox should be the standard DCT unit with optimized mapping for smoother and faster shifting for racetrack use.

Differential is solidly mounted to the read subframe. It’s vibrations are transferred as noises in the cabin.
I focking love this car, it looks and sounds unbelievable, saw it on track when i visited the ring and wanted one ever since. Would be my first purchase if i won the lotto 👍🏼

Too heavy and it was never designed as a track car. A 488 would be more suitable
The engine is great but the E92 makes a better M5 than M3 from a BMW-head stuck in the earlier end of the bunch.
M2 CS is the ultimate. It didn't win EVO COTA by mistake
