I grew up on all the old time bluegrass back in the 60s and 70s and this right here is the BEST! Billy and the band put on an amazing REAL bluegrass show. Billy Strings can Flatt out lead a bluegrass song. Right up there with the best. GREAT show!

This shows a very mature musician, one who is willing to share the spotlight, giving others an opportunity to demonstrate their skills. Billy can really play, flat out amazing IMHO.
100%. We were in Nashville for the SPBGMA Awards this year and Bill showed up unannounced and jammed with everybody he could for hours all over the hotel. When I left at 3AM he was in the lobby picking with a bunch of kids. It was awesome to see him just jamming with people and including everyone. No big ego. That's what its all about.

Paying homage to those that came before. Billy understands the history of how he got there. Face it without his dad and Doc he might be doing something different. Thank God he’s carrying on the roots and seems like a great guy that’s well rounded and humble. Carry on BMFS.

@@davidpotts3844 I make that comment , meaning its Tradition for a Proper Bluegrass band to wear suits , now this is possibly the first time ive heard of Billy playing the Opry ? , so i imagine they wanted to do it up Proper . so when do they play the Opry ? im in Canada so im not up to scratch on the Oprys schedule , but they used to have reg. show on Sat . nite . then . . . theres they dont have the televised show at the Original Ryman Auditr. any more , they have a new place somewhere where they have that . fo r tv . so have at er , if i was 80 min aside nASHVIL , ID BE AT THE oPRY QUITE REGULAR .
@@peterbetts858 Traditional Bluegrass is played in someones yard or porch. Traditional dress would be what ever you're wearing and can afford because it is pure folk music. Traditional Country Music is Played in suit attire and not traditional to Bluegrass. So you are some what confused between to 2 styles Country is not Bluegrass and Bluegrass is all about Country and the people The attire is only traditional to the venue played

I like Billy's banjo player and was sure wanting to hear him play Foggy Mtn Breakdown ,seamlessly perfect like they all do. McCurry was a hair off but love him still. Love my bluegrass family!! Maybe some of the songs were too fast, as bluegrass will do ya! Still great!!
