I live in the deep south and have wrote and played country music All My life , but the sound of Billy and his band have open my eyes to a special kind of music . Thank you boys for in lighting me .
God took Roy Clark's picking precision and creativity, Jimi Hindrix's boldness and artistry, and Eddie Van Halen's crazy endurance and picking speed and birthed Billy Strings.
Throw a bit a Wille Nelson in that mix

Born and raised in Kentucky I know a little about Bluegrass. As well as blues and thumb picking. Billy Strings Band is like the heavy metal of bluegrass but still keeps it mostly traditional. I love this band one of the best .

I'm amazed at the quality of the 'overdrive' Billy can get out of an acoustic guitar without a sound hole blocker! Freakin' amazing sounds and performance by all!🤩🎵🎶👍👍

This was my FIRST BMFS show and I'm STILL BLOWN AWAY...especially by the set list. I've only been listening, via spotify, to him this summer and I got every song I love excluding only two and was introduced to a few I now love...just incredible stuff! Thanks for the upload..awesome!

Not sure why this guy is talked aboaut in the same conversations as other jam bands. He's amazing but is just a bluegrass artist. He refuses to to Dead covers and so I'm at a loss as to why anyone whould lump him into the same category as Phish or the grateful Dead.
if you go to a show and see the culture that surrounds him and how the kids they dance and shake their bones, that mystery will unveil before your eyes
