Yeah, top notch, because he is that good to get a bunch of "extras" that good, because he is the real deal... look into it... Just saying, Billy is the man.
Dude is ridiculously talented. His band is too. They are all so good they make each other better musicians. They get better all the time.
Last few comments I praised Billy and I meant that I should have praised all of them my bad trying to make up for my mistake they are all great musicians
So glad to see high levels of musicianship in the younger generation, gives me hope for the future of music.
Thanks to the internet which offers an almost endless supply of recources, technical proficiency in younger people tend to be much higher than decades ago. Just check out youtube for the amount of 10 year olds and teens that can shred like there's no tomorrow. However, technical proficiency doesn't automatically mean good musicanship.
I get in a trance watching him play the guitar. I have to stop myself. He is frickin awsome.
We watched as Billy began and now he’s proving his steadily growing greatness and deserved star quality which for many years will expand and evolve because he strives for excellance

I love that he just keeps progressing as an artist. His playing is cleaner, tighter, and more expressive than ever, and he manages to both honor the roots of bluegrass while also pushing the envelope in new and interesting ways. And I swear his voice is improving as well!

I have heard the Outlaws’ version and the one by Junior Brown. Both are great. And so is the rendition by Billy Strings (in white suit and cowboy hat) and his incredible musicians (in blue suits and cowboy hats). Billy’s microphone stand bears his name. While watching the video, I truly believe that Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, Mac Wiseman, Jimmy Martin, and Roy Acuff are smiling down from heaven.
He seems to be giving a salute to Jr Brown with his introduction. Just needs a little Hendrix

@@wshow11 Merry Christmas , I had great tickets for his concert here in koln back in November...I had previously enjoyed Aaron Neville, Jeff Healy and a few others; wee place bad accostictical possibilities I wasn't about to suffer anxiety I knew would come from hearing him there...my loss. I told him right before he went on the road first time to enjoy himself that feeling will never come again. His skill is astonishing. I'm enjoying some old Leon at the moment. No space or time enough for all of the greats

@@DabsDad It's definitely a Martin D-28. Not positive about the date, except that it was in the 1940s sometime, I believe.

I like his newish Thompson (?) but, I think his sound is better with this Martin.....astounding talent.

I was lucky enough to be at this show, and what a scorcher it was! The whole show is a bluegrass special on PBS now, too. I follow these boys all over the country, have seen them over 50 times and this is my FAVORITE Freeborn Man to date! Thanks for posting❤ I was too busy dancing in the pews to video anything lol

Bluegrass is back…in force. I haven’t been this excited about bluegrass since I saw Doc and Merle Watson in the ‘70s.
He’ll never be as cool as Tony Rice, but he’s getting one hell of a lot closer than me.
So much respect! Hearing this beautifully haunting old Monroe instrumental performed to such tasteful perfection by these amazing young guys who can go as far out on a limb as they want, but keep everything so true to tradition when it's called for, is a revelation. Big Mon would be proud to know his music is in such capable young hands 27 years after his death.

i recommend if billy and band comes around....go see them. it is an experience!!! just saw them in asheville. nothing like em....and i've gone to concerts since the 70s.
