I am 24 and I have already got the 2nd time UTI in 2 months. I am always given ciprofloxacin by my doctor. Now I am going to get an ultrasound
I am not a doctor, but I did visit my physician from yet ANOTHER UTI… and another series of antibiotics. He said turmeric is good to take daily to keep them at bay -
And another one to take with the turmeric is D Mannose

I have a recurring UTI, but I don't have the common symptoms. I went to a center and got a urinalysis; my WBC count was 10-15. I took co-amoxiclav 625 mg for 7 days. I took a test again, and the result is normal. It came back after my period. My doctor gave me antibiotics with a lower dosage for 7 days. I wasn't able to get checked up since then, but I know I still have UTI because my discharge has a foul smell, the same as when I first decided to get checked up. I hope you can help me because I'm worried that it's the reason I'm not getting pregnant. Thank you and God bless..

If you take antibiotics take probiotics at the same time , because antibiotics kills the good bacteria also. And your body becomes more sensitive for utis

Is it safe to go on low dose antibiotics
I have UTI but I went to doctor I got treatment but it still a pain me
I had UTI 4th time in my life. I went through urinalysis, ultrasound. My reports are normal. I took lots of antibiotics (livofloxacin, vibramycin, ciprofloxacin, cefixime)and cranberry juice but its not gone. I had no bacterial growth in my urine culture but i got frequent urination and not able to empty my bladder after 4th UTL. I'm suffering from frequenct urination since 6months. What's the reason? Can you guide me?
I suggest seeing a naturopath, antibiotics are so damaging in so many ways. First, find some probiotics, ideally that target uti's, generally found in health food stores. I take Genestra brand. Next, find a naturopathic Dr and see how to heal your body naturally 💕 best of luck

@@OlisaPrice-qq1wm generally if you have more than three UTIs per year, you should discuss with your doctor. Sometimes a urology appointment is needed.

I am talking D-Mannose and it is working well to help prevent UTI.

Doctor what do you think about the new guidelines of only handing out 3 days of meds regardless of history of rUTI or women over 60. It seems to me that only 3 days will just cause resistance, as it is my case now dealing with 3 UTIs since Feb. and having negative cultures until I found a NGS testing which showed the presence of same pathogen and was treated 3x with same AB that clearly was not working.
Doctors seem to not want to think on their own and just follow the AB stewardship guidelines thus harming women and creating super bugs because they don’t kill the bugs completely.
Also, many doctors don’t want to embrace new testing methods and ignore thousand of women that are telling them the traditional culture is not accurate. Why are they not offering this to people? One of them said it was because it was costly for the practice.
At this moment I have seen 2 Urologists, 2 gynecologists, and one ID doctor and I am super worried because I went without treatment for a month and a half. I am in pain (abdominal, flank and lower back pain.) On a course of AB now which I am scared won’t do work and I will eventually end up seriously ill in the hospital or worst.
Everybody tells us to advocate for self but doctors hate that.
Ladies, we need to speak up and ask for newer testing. Doctors should not treat a 60 yr old with long history of rUTI as they would treat a 20 year old with her first UTI.
As for IC- I have been told I had IC and find ways to cope, well I now feel validated and scared because 2 NGS test showed positive for bacteria.
I'm finding that I'm having some kind of yeast overgrowth and the duplicate doesn't work but then I'm having where I'm urinating a lot like in like a urinary and tract infection and I'm suffering each time
Take oregano oil with thyme pills . You’ll be cured 🥰🥰🥰. Also take cranberry pills . And if you can baking soda, turmeric and honey ( kombucha) . Thank me later

Condoms don't necessarily prevent uti. A lot depends on your age, your anatomy, whether or not you urinate before or after sexual intercourse. Just the moisture of the sexual organs alone provides an environment for bacteria around the woman's anus to travel to the vagina (yeast infection) and the urethra (uti). Also, if you're nearing menopause or after menopause, you have less estrogen to provide protection against bacteria.
Bathe prior and after sex.
Stay clean. Use a bigget after using bathroom
Keeping yourself clean is nu 1.
The use of toilet paper can give you uti. Use a bidget instead.

But alot of lubricants contain spermicides.. I thought those should be avoided?

Can depression and anxiety be the only symptoms of a UTI?
There would be a burning sensation when you urinate and they are very uncomfortable. Also, there would be an odor and change in color of the urine.

I have a new sexual partner of 10 weeks now, iv been sti screened after sex with him and it come back clear................... iv had sex with him 3 times now and each time I keep getting uti, I can't use condoms as it severely drys me out, but also can't use lube as it hurts me too (I'm veryyyyyy sensitive of what I can use down there) I want to enjoy sex but it's going to end up putting a downer on it :( x
I’m having the same issue. ❤ it’s horrible and I went to the urologist and they gave me antibiotics to take before sex and I wanted a more natural way of dealing with this. I’ve never had this issue before with other partners.
