I like to think Courtney's character is Sarah Christ's estranged daughter, and she took her mom's crime-solving intensity into her cooking hobby.
oooh that would be so good
I love this head canon
I was just thinking that those two characters need to meet. There may not be enough scenery to chew.
DUDE , culinary crimes with The chosen and Sarah Christ??? And the food can be like junk food or something idk
this is advanced i love it
"We are not twelve angry men. We are three annoyed women."
I felt that, Courtney.
id see that play!
They should lock that in and copyright that screenplay immediately
That's a good one lmao, love that reference 🤣
Sarah Christ before Creekside incident
Put that on a shirt
I've heard of reformed criminals becoming a consultant for the police so I suggest we get Garrett on this show
YES
This is necessary how is this not the top comment
Yes absolutely
god. please
Yes, please! With Eat it or Yeet It It gone, I miss Garret
“That’s my boyfriend, that’s garlic”
The one liners were incredible 😂
“Oh I’m the weird one here?!” Says Angela crouched on her stool like a little goblin
Dude this shit fucking got me, well done
24:45 Love the little Garlic Gremlin 😂❤
I was picturing Gollum the entire time screaming "WHAT ARE TATERS?!?!"
31:16 for those who missed it
I saw your comment from the start, but still it couldn't prepare me for when the moment came!!
Spot on!!!
Omg can’t believe they got boygenius on culinary crimes 🤩
I can't unsee it now😂
Ikr!!
ppl wont believe me but i made the connection time before Shayne mentioned it I wondered why no one else pointed it out; I need them to wear the tuxedos for one skit or just one post
@@alexlezama5628 he made the joke after loads of people made the joke on twitter and in the comments he for sure didn’t think of it himself lol
their energies match too lol
Angela losing her shit to something as simple as paper taped to an umbrella was such a crazy hit of dopamine.
I KNOWW i wasn't really paying attention and i had to do a double take- 😭 bless her
IT'S A JOLLY DAY 😭
I always wonder what she's like when not in character.
@@jazzy4830I don’t think it is a character. Angela is literally just a goblin
Ever since shayne said they look like boy genius I can’t unsee it
In what video did he say that? I need the context lol
@@mutantsandmemes 2 truths 1 lie with shayne & trevor
SAME everytime i see this trio tgt i call them boygenius in my head 💀💀
"We have boygenius at home"
Boygenius at home:
he was SO right 😭
Courtney’s intros keep getting more unhinged, by episode 20 they’ll be scrambling in on the ceiling squawking
I hope so
I'm here for it
Like Damien on what are those
Was just going to say! They need all the cast to host their own shows and just go absolutely off the rail! @whitejadin7157
Drugs exist on earth 🌎
I love the juxtaposition between Courtney, Angela, and Amanda screaming, jumping, shouting in disappointment, agony, and horror, compared to the absolute zen they have when they eat the real thing 😭
Tbh good lasagna could be the key to world peace
@@envymordecai4429 you're not wrong
I love this show because the food doesn’t seem to be nearly as bad as Eat it or Yeet it and there’s an actual objective for us to follow along with as the audience. Props again to Marcus for pitching Culinary Crimes. Still waiting for a Damien and Chanse episode!
Same. It still has a bit of that element without going full "torture for views". I didn't know Marcus pithed it! I noticed he was producing it!
I love how the last one was like "Next time, list what flavors of cream cheese work with the recipe." How about just...regular cream cheese like the recipe said to use lol YOU were the one that changed the recipe and then said it wasn't good 😂
People that get pissed at recipes after CHANGING INTEGRAL PARTS of the recipe always crack me up 😭😭
@@jahanarahgraham8003 exactly. Like being angry the fishfilets with fries tastes wrong and bad.... cuz they breaded up canned tuna and fried that and used carrots instead of potatoes for the fries.
I know she's busy finding the creek side killer (I heard he's moved on to rivers now), but Sarah Christ NEEDS to be on this show.
Sarah Christ and Redacted
I interpret he “moved on to rivers” like a bullfrog when a pond dries up

Sarah Christ and Beniot Blanc
“poop in the ocean if you must” is hands down my favorite thing amanda has ever said, thank you for bringing it back
Same, and Amanda has said a lot of great shit
Mexican salsa yes.

Amanda: "I think this is punishable by death." 😂😂😂

Sweet chilli sauce is definitely a common fridge staple for a lot of us brits, so Amanda was probably right when she thought the person using the phrase "tin" was british
We always have sweet chilli in our fridge, I’m Australian
@@jessschwarze8126same here! i was beginning to think it was just a cultural thing but glad to see other australians have it in their fridges as well
as a Brit, I've never heard of people just having sweet chili sauce around.
I've aways got sweet chilli Sauce. I'm near Leeds
Angela describing the cream cheese with lox while staring at the ceiling like she’s getting a vision of the ingredients
I think she was traumatized and looking away to disassociate.
She is just Queens gambiting
I love Courtney committing to character bits. They slay
I love how it's in these moments where we see that Angela may be a deranged gremlin, but she still has a lot to learn from Courtney's restrained madness.
I love that Angela has strong feelings about how to pronounce Italian cheeses. My mom’s dad was from Italy so she does the exact same thing. No accent any other time. Just like “go in the fridge and get me some rigòta” 😂❤
insane that that's also wrong... it's called "ricotta", lol. don't skip the double Ts.
I want a culinary “crime” that actually massively improves on the original recipe, thrown in as a surprise sometime
If there is no Mexican Salsa Yes themed crime then we lost.
"Mexican salsa no"
@@tomcat5151close enough 😅
Bro, they had the perfect opportunity and they missed it...
Next time, they have to
They set up Amanda for the perfect spike with the meatballs, and then she whiffed!
Angela has such a way with words, she always uses the most random metaphors and they’re always 100% on point. “The outfit called for so many things and you threw on a hat” “this is a lasagna you’d get at limited too”
"It's like when you put on a bad outfit and you twirl.😖" - Angela in Happy Hour
Angela sitting like a feral child they found and reformed from the wild while cutting into that cheesecake is sending me so badly
So the steak sandwich was definitely a joke. Someone made a steak sandwich, wrote it under a lasagna recipe , then you made a lasagna out of steak sandwich ingredients.
I hope the guy that wrote that will see this and is dying laughing.
They probably didn't get the joke because they were taking the case too seriously lol.
Tbh, the sandwich recipe didn't sound good either
@@Steve-ht3hwthey have to put wild shit in front of them in order for it to be an entertaining series. I'm sure whoever plans what food crimes they try knew what they were doing
they definitely know that, like the cookie one. but making the lasagna out of the steak sandwich ingredients is the entire point
but also. why did his sandwich recipe originally have lasagna sheets anyway?
I really believe that Courtney rehearses by herself and the camera people are just told to “keep it on her no matter what”, and the guests are told nothing 😂
It's a real change of pace, with Courtney being the most normal person at the table
I really fucking love Courtney's intros for this series. She channels so much chaos but seemingly improvised words and honestly? I'm for it
I feel like the grandma making the cheesecake assumed "cream cheese" meant pick your flavor and not just plain regular cream cheese.... BAD GRANDMA
But also if she’s picked any type of sweet flavored cream cheese, it would have been fine. But she chose to put FISH in a cake and was shocked it didn’t work.
That last one was so cursed. The sentence should have been Davey Jones' locker. The worst crime in a whole episode of atrocities.
"...list flavors of cream cheese that work..." THE RECIPE DID. It said CREAM CHEESE. Plain regular ordinary CREAM CHEESE.
In a way it wasn’t completely insane. You can make delicious savory cheese pies with salmon.
Angela saying "Oh, I'm the weird one here?" while sitting on the stool like that is insane. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Amanda almost had a "Mexican salsa yes" moment there.
Angela's chaos is perfect for these videos. The balance of the three of them from most chaotic to most calm is amazing
Sarah Christ, Redacted, and Culinary Detective collab when?????
It's a must!
Yes!!!!
Shes their abandoned love child
What would they investigate though?
Maybe instead of Redacted, it should be Damien's confused detective character who doesn't know how babies are made.
You know it's going to be a good video when everyone's screaming and Angela's climbing the furniture like the feral guinea pig she is in the intro.
I love Angela's energy so much in these videos, shes like a child that was given speed on Christmas morning and keeps getting extra gifts to open...
To have wet cop and the chosen as guests on this show would be *chef’s kiss
Seems like a missed opportunity to invite world renowned detective Sarah Christ to get to the bottom of these culinary crimes
I came to comment this! There needs to be an episode with Sarah Christ!
And is it Noah who is "known" for his conspiracy theories? I seem to remember a funeral where Redacted read/leaked that person's conspiracies....We need an episode with Noah, Redacted and Sarah Christ joining Chief Courtney to solve these culinary crimes
Angela is the typ of person a street magician loves the most
I think the grandma thought that the cheesecake was a savoury dish, since cheese itself tends to be on the more savoury side.
Courtney, Amanda, and Angela quickly became such an ICONIC pairing!
I weep for the child who had cheesecake ruined for life due to the fact that his grandparents lacked good sense.
In Sweden we're crazy enough to make "smörgåstårta", literally "sandwich cake". It's straight up like a savoury cake with sandwich stuff on it; ham, salmon, hardboiled eggs, cheese etc.
But the key is that _every_ part of it is replaced with a "sandwich equivalent", it's in the _shape_ of a cake but it's bread instead of sponge, mayo instead of cream etc etc
In other words, not JUST A CAKE WITH SALMON IN IT
I get the feeling they'd never made a cheesecake before.
The legit recipe is alot more complicated than it needs to be, then they went in seemingly assuming that it was supposed to be savory - which i guess makes sense if you've only every used creamcheese in savory dishes.
They may also not realise that creamcheese comes in an unflavored form, since they asked for advise on 'which flavours' to use.
@@metallsnubben ahhh good old voileipäkakku! you stayed far away from that when you were a kid, lol
@@daemonbane1 exactly, they lack good sense
@@shadow_song ...no joke, I might have been 20+ when I actually properly tried one and discovered that kid me had MISSED OUT ON A BANGER
And a similar story for pickled herring. It's a wonder I still have my citizenship lol
They definitely missed out on a "This is the worst disaster to hit NY since 2011..."
Best series out right now.
They can no longer joke that after a Crew ruined it by saying shes traumatize by that in TNTL
@@simpayshenaidesBruh- that was a joke. She was making a joke.
@@simpayshenaides I've seen the clip. That crew member was pretty obviously joking, idk how you missed that
This is the most unique show Smosh currently does and it’s always *so much fun!* Courtney is pitch perfect as the hard-boiled culinary detective, and having two partners that fully commit like Angela and Amanda makes this a nonstop entertaining journey.
I think after doing her 2nd tour, Angela deserves a promotion from Cadet
The lasagna one was crazy!! "I changed basically every ingredient but other than that I followed the recipe to the T" whaaaat?!?
Classic example of the Ship of Theseus paradox
This is easily becoming my favorite smosh production. Of course Angela and Amanda are great but Courtney SHINES in every episode. I love it when “Courtney gets to be Courtney”. Also I’m Italian so this episode kind of hurt my soul. But I loved it.
Heeeeey another Italian smosh fan!!
I love anything with Angela and Courtney and this did not disappoint, Angela regularly breaking Courtney out of their character because she was giggling at her was so cute and then Amanda adds to it if course. The three of them are adorable and hilarious.
I think the lasagna one was literally a joke. The culprit knew full well it was a lasagna recipe, and for laughs they did a steak sandwich recipe. Garlic toasted bread, rib eye pieces, fresh tomato, mixed leaves (I assume leafy green vegetables and not like tree leaves), beetroot, rings of red onion, bbq sauce and aioli. The only part of it that sounds weird for a steak sandwich is beetroot, and honestly, there are far weirder things to put on a sandwich. The long list of substitutions was the buildup, and the "best steak sandwich" part was the punchline.
Courtney has literally found their calling, it is amazing to witness this. Every intro is flawless
Right!
I love Amanda at the end thinking smelling electrified fish is a “cold blooded” punishment when she literally started the episode off saying someone should be sentenced to death for making sweet meatballs LMAO
Angela: "Oh Im the weird one here?"
While sitting on her chair like she's Gollum from Lord of the Rings.
lol as an English girlie it's common to have sweet chilli sauce in your fridge. Also Amanda saying "they say tin in London!" even though we say it everywhere in the UK 😂
Honestly, this show alone would survive as a very successful CZcams channel on its own. I love this series so damn much. Love every combo that's been on and Detective Courtney --- will you marry me? My goodness, I yearn.
Detective Courtney is only married to JUSTICE
10:09 editing is golden, shoutout alyssa she seems to really get the campy crime doc vibe
Yes! The editing is so perfect for this show!!
I fall in love with Angela more and more every time she PROPERLY pronounces Italian foods/words lol
she doesn't tho 😭
That grandma had wayyyyyyy to much fun in the 60s for her to think that Cheese cake could work....
Courtney breathing deeply in a fedora with jazz music... I wasn't ready lol
Culinary crimes is fr a work of art. One of the best things smosh has ever done. Courtney must be so proud
I love this show despite how frustrating these people are when comes to recipes.they literally butcher or replace the main ingredients and then rate it as if it it’s someone else’s fault
For you Dropout fans out there, Angela has played in a DnD campaign with Izzy Roland and Vic Michaelas. I need those 3 on Make Some Noise ASAP

Ok but I really do want to see Mythical Chef Josh attempt to redeem the cheesecake idea. Maybe like a savory graham cracker crust with everything seasoning, less sugar, and some real lox? Idk I agree with Courtney, I'm very intrigued...
I've had salmon cheesecake! It's really good but obviously it's nothing like New York cheesecake!
The first layer is made of brown bread, not sweet biscuits, it's not oven baked but chilled and the filling is 100% savoury.
I’ve made savory cheese cake before (not with fish because I don’t eat it) and it is delicious! It was a mix of cheeses in cream cheese (think cheese ball but baked) with roasted grapes and honey as garnish and an oat cracker crust. So still a little sweet but not like… dessert cheese cake sweet. It’s delicious and I’d highly recommend!
This show is ridiculous in the most WONDERFUL way. It's so far over the top that it's back to being grounded
The happiness that rushed through me when Amanda said "we are loxed in" as I said it was inexplicable even to me
Why wouldn't the 1st culinary criminal just LEAVE OUT the red pepper flakes? If they can't handle spicy food, just leave it out!
Why the cream cheese choice for the last case?!?!?! You can't just put ANY flavor of it for a cake! Come on. Wtf?! 😂
I really thought they were gonna replace it with sweet peppers since they seemed to like their food sweeter than savory. And it would still be I. The same family of food- But I was blown away with the pineapple 🙃 would’ve never guessed that one
Cuz,if their idea of "spice" is sweet chili sauce, they must be a sugar addict.. hence the pineapple lol.. my 7 year old ate sweet chili sauce
@@3llevate
what? the chili pepper flakes were what they said was spicy. The sweet chili sauce was added BECAUSE it wasn't spicy. Were you not paying attention?
The thing with the last one is you can have savory cheesecakes, and I have actually seen them salmon flavored. So it would've been good…
If it literally wasn't New York cheesecake. xD
@@slsthewriter1299”salmon flavored cheesecake” is objectively the most evil food I’ve ever heard of.
And I have heard of
- artichoke gelato
- lobster coffee
- Parmesan ice cream (tbf I support this one)
"random pieces of suspicion" is such a great quote
This is some great energy to start Amanda and Angela being simultaneously in awe and laughing their ass off at Courtneys 10/10 Monologue is mwah
I LOVE the fact that they were so angry at the botched lasagna but then when the real one came out they got so soothed by it that they were like "misdemeanor?" 😂
So glad they're doing more of this show! Courtney is so freaking good when doing semi-scripted/improv in character!
As someone who loves Lox bagels... What the absolute fuck is wrong with that person who made the Lox cheesecake?
this is honestly the best smosh show, I can't get enough of this. I wanna see Damien and Spencer on here!!
I need detective Courtney to be joined by Sarah Christ and Redacted next!!!
Everyone is always so excited when they are instructed to find the crime report. It's so cute 😊
Angela’s pure JOY upon opening the umbrella made my day
i think that grandma at the end thought that cheesecake was meant to be a savoury food. i guess she saw the word 'cheese' and got confused. i'm not sure how you could be old enough to have a grandson and never have had a cheesecake before, but i think she's managed
Courtney’s reaction to Amanda’s comment on it being a “hung jury” was cut off too soon. Lol
Missed opportunity from Amanda not showing up in her character. Who knows if the creekside killer could of been one of these culprits.😂
I wanta see Sarah Christ and Mr. Grub try their hand at this so badly.
What I really wish to see is to one day Courtney doing this with Smosh characters like Chosen, Redacted, Sarah Christ, etc lmao Having their chaotic take on the foods would be something I'd love to watch
Given the time frame in which the second one was posted, the number and nature of the substitutions, and ending with "best s* s* I've ever had", I can see that review being a tongue-in-cheek take on culinary crime-style recipe reviews, not someone who was genuinely trying to make lasagne with multiple substitutions. Regardless of the motivations behind it, it made for a great and challenging case!
I love how in the other vids they are sentenced to like ‘only eat peaches for life’ and in this one we move to the straight up death sentence 😂
9:51 *eyeing the sweet chili sauce currently in my fridge and on my plate as I watch this*
When I saw “crushed blank in a tin” I IMMEDIATELY though pineapple I’m so proud of myself 😂❤
I love how in the intro Courtney is always so serious, but the guests are always filled with giggles and not treating it seriously at all.
ill never be able to see this trio the same again after the video where shayne called them boy genius
you should do a culinary crime video with Rhett and Link since they're known for eating strange food .
I always appreciate when the detectives bring in experts
Here staring at the ring on Courtney’s finger!!!!!
Love how the quality always increases each episode. This amazing
Omg perfect lineup perfect episode no notes!
Also I love it when people go “What? Who Said That?” to outlandish things they just said so Amanda really spoke to me in that moment.
Angela going from Cookies Bake Ziti to Limited Too Steak Sandwich Lasagna is really just such an unfortunate coincidence. But people really do be messing up simple Italian dishes.
Detective Courtney continues to shine in the openings and transitions. I truly felt their disgust over the Lox and Capers Cheesecake.
Courtney calling italy "like a neighbour" to the UK is wild, that's like saying Texas is like a neighbour to Hawaii.
Its a big neighborhood 🤷🏼♀️
Hawaii is like 200 miles closer to Houston, TX than London to Milan, actually 😂
More like NY to Chicago.
"Be strong CADET!", yelled Detective Miller. lol I love Courtney's intensity on this show!
Literally can't get enough of this show. I keep rewatching the shayne and noah episode it's so good
the lasagna feels like involuntary manslaughter
The lasagne criminal is absolutely an Aussie trolling lmao
Angela is becoming a seasoned detective! She deserves a promotion! Rookie no more
We need another collab with Angela’s mom!
LOL, i was half expecting Courtney to take off that jacket, and there just be another jacket underneath
Angela being so excited about finding the evidence in the umbrella needs to be my every day mood
this is by far one of my favorite smosh pit series. please keep this up 😭🤣
