Two problems with these mounts for pixel3 xl at least
    1. The back plate can block the the touch plate used to open the phone on the back of the phone
    2. The buttons are on the right side, both power and volumes.
I use the quadlock mount on a ramball. It's clean, rock solid and I have access to the touch plate and the buttons. Much better for me.

I have the same mount on my Spyder and it has never failed me. I used to but now, I don't even use a lanyard to secure it. That is how confident I am about this mount.

It really is a solid piece...I find myself traveling around town and forgetting the lanyard as well. so far..so good.

You could also use one of there rubber tether like the RAM Mounts Tether for X-Grip Holders instead of a lace to secure the phone to the stand. It cost only a few box and it works great. There sure is a variety of these on Internet but the RAM would certainly fit your stand.

Hello coach Bob great video! A great drink holder solution will be go on Amazon and get one like coach Vic without the clamp buy a longer screw and screw it in the back directly into your spyder cuff on the backside of your phone holder works like a charm.

Hay Coach Bob, Great job on the Spyder accessories. Being an old Triumph rider (TR6),would you do a video on the company today as well as the past?

I recently had a code that indicated that my spyder was unable to read my key …hence it would not start. I had to do a google search that stated numerous descriptions of how I needed to replace the unit in which the key is inverted. After Wading through all sorts of suggestions I finally came across one post that said my GPS or phone might have been sending a signal that was confusing bike computer . I removed my phone from its’ perch and wala … it started right up.

Great video, Coach Bob. What do you do when it rains on your phone? I have seen a mountable, waterproof case on Revzilla. I have a 2018 RT and use Sygic Navigation through the electronic dash. Rain is not an issue with it.

I hook the phone to the BRP app in the frunk. Very inconvenient...but, it has worked so far.

Coach great video. What is the base mount around the Handlebar? I just bought a 2020 rt and that looks perfect.

Paul Meola it is the spider cuff by Lamonster. It’s a nice piece. Beautifully machined. Here is my install of the piece.

Sorry to have to say this. My 2020 Spyder F3-T Limited with 1300 miles on it has a problem. I've been taking it easy to break it in. I got out on a highway getting up to 70 mph and got a bad vibration. Looked it up on the internet and found out it's a common problem. They say it's because the belt is so long. Can-Am even makes a idler for it. I'm very unhappy they know it's a problem and charge for the fix. Your thoughts?

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  Před 4 lety +2

Greg Ferris Sorry to hear this... I would take it to the dealer and ask them to make it right. I’d also call corporate and make sure they were in in the loop.
If that doesn’t work... I’d install the tension idler.
If they refuse to make this right ...I think it’s totally BULLCRAP 💩
Please keep me updated. I’d love to share your findings with the world. Good or bad. People need to know. I am truly sorry to hear about this.

@@CoachBob3 Well I just got off the phone with Buck's Motorsports in Akron New York where I purchased my Spyder. They actually carry the belt tensioner and know it's a problem and don't cover the cost of it or the labor to put it on. I told them if BRP knows it's a problem it should be covered under warranty. I was pretty much told that doesn't happen to all of them so it's not covered even though they know it's a problem and make a part that fixes it. So I'm going to have him do it when I take it in for my service I'll bite the bullet to make sure that it's right. Buy the way I rarely go above 60 mph.

Greg Ferris I will be making a video about this in the near future. I am also going to reach out
to BRP and ask for an official statement to share with subscribers. BRP should send the part for free and the dealership install it for free. The machine simply does not do what it’s designed to do. They are wrong!
