I have found that mixing in the pan causes it to stick. So I mix in a bowl then put in pan

This looks delicious! I'd use carrots, peas, and broccoli for my vegetables, shredded Pepper Jack cheese, and bits of crescent roll dough for the topping.
Crescent rolls would be delish. Great idea! I have made crescent rolls pizzas for years.

Oh my goodness, I love chicken pot pie any way I can get it. Using the flaky style biscuits "bubble up" method looks nice and easy and less time consuming that the double crust method. Plus who doesnt love chicken and biscuits in any recipe? YUM! One of my own favorite ingredients in the chicken mixture is using softened cream cheese. Wowzer! It just takes it over the top flavor wise. God bless, Shirley

Lol! ALL ovens are different. I did make this last Sunday for church potluck dinner. It was a big hit. However even cutting the biscuits as you suggested it took an hour for my biscuits to get done. Plus, had to turn up temp to 375. Just my particular oven I am sure. This will be a keeper in my recipe files!
It's true, all ovens are different. I had an oven that wouldn't cook anything in the time the recipe gave. My husband got an oven thermometer and set our oven to 350 and put the thermometer in it. Come to find out the oven was 50 degrees off, the thermometer was showing 300 when it should have been 350.

Love the fact that y'all are down to earth and "human". Most people WON'T admit they ate some of the ingredients while preparing them! Lol! Your recipes are things the "common" Joe would have in the cabinet/pantry, not the ones that have things such as capers or a specific type of mushroom and call that pantry staples! I've never put cheese in my chicken pot pie...might try that...always used the chicken broth from cooking the chicken in to make the binding agent for the ingredients...was one of my hubby's favorite dinners, homemade chicken pot pie!
