I adapted this meal into a cast iron skillet recipe. I followed the recipe ingredients. Cooked green peppers, onions and meat in cast iron skillet. After dumping the rest of the ingredients into the skillet, I placed it in the oven. Saved a dish and it turned out beautiful and delicious. Thanks for the recipe!🌸

I made this twice and it was a hit both times(in a house with picky eaters at that). The 2nd time was even better because I used the Pilsbury cream cheese which gave it an even better flavor. Tysm for this recipe🧡

I have been sharing your recipes with younger people who are just starting to cook. Years ago, I would give either a casserole ( keep the dish with a written recipe) or a crock pot with a few recipes as house warming gifts. Sometimes with the grocery list. Now with your recipes, I may start doing that again. Steak ums underrated item. Lol. I LOVE THIS CASSEROLE.

As someone who lives about an hour outside of the City of Philadelphia, I can assure you there's no Swiss cheese in our cheesesteaks. Generally its either America, Provolone or Wiz (as in Cheez Wiz). Plus if you have a Costco membership I would use Steak Eze instead of Steak-um. Quality of Steak Eze is 10x better but all in all looks like delicious recipe.
This one could be my new favorite casserole dish!

now your talking to my heart... I'm a philly Boy born and raised and you had me at Steak Umm's. Thinly sliced Ribeye steaks so delicious I made a Philly cheesesteak Omelette, a Philly cheesesteak pie, Philly Potato Balls, and a Philly cheesesteak but have never tried a casserole. This one is looking so good Catherine. Thank you for this amazing dish
I love Steak Um's, no bones, no little pieces of something that you can't chew but feel silly spitting out, and tastes like real steak. A little hint, read the ingredients. When I make my Subs, I use onions, peppers and swiss cheese and they taste every bit as good as any Philly Cheesesteak you can get anywhere else. I don't just buy one box, my last grocery store visit, I came home with 30.00 worth of Steak Um's.
@@jumpercable20 when I grew up in Philly I would always get it with Cheese wiz and provolone with grilled onions, bell peppers and mushrooms. The first pioneer to make this by accident made with only Steak, Onions and Provolone.
Ok,, throwing down Miss Lady, it's a blessing to see a woman teaching kids the art of a good meal. You have skills that has been taken to high levels over time and that was past down. Your recipe is simple and flavorful I myself use ground turkey some pecan smoked sausage and shrimp. Yet that Philly is outstanding.💯

This was my favorite pasta dish when I was growing up. My mom used ground beef and I never tired of it. So so SO yummy.

I am a Philly girl and this looks amazing, can not wait to try it, minus the peppers. Peppers are not normally on a true Philly cheesesteak.
My son doesn't like peppers so I'm glad she said they're optional, I have to be pretty creative sometimes! Lol
We prefer red orange or yellow peppers I have made something similar with ground beef I had frozen okra (no peppers that day) and have also used celery sliced thinly Your thinly sliced beef looks good I have not found it here YUMMY We love leftovers too! Thank you
