true. this won't do. it's not scientificaly representative.

Why cant we watch stuff like this in science class
Because there is nothing educational in melting aluminium and pouring it into stuff.
@@TenCoJeCool Sure there is, can learn about aluminum melting points and such. Even about hydrostatic equilibrium with that first volcano. Sure, that isn't exactly in the video, but teachers could still use stuff like this in addition to actually teaching the above.
@@TenCoJeCool as a huge nerd, I must disagree. I believe everything has a lesson that can be associated with it. For example, we could learn about why the specific type of sand was used and it's properties. I don't mean to argue here though, so have a nice day. :)

I wish you Happy birthday. And I can't find better channel than 'the backyard scientist'
It's pretty cool watching these videos. I work in the waupaca foundery in Wisconsin grinding cast parts
Cool! I've always had such a problem finishing aluminum parts that I cast, because I always use extruded aluminum which is pretty soft and gums up the grinders. Recently I've been adding a bit of tin or zinc to the aluminum and it makes it harder and it's so much easier to work with after a part is cast.
2:01 thats what she said... literally though

right at the end of the video you pan over the experiment and i was amazed to see that the aluminium had froze if in mid pour coming out of the crucible.. would have made a great sculpture.

Weld a rod, flatbar, or angle iron to the top of the lid so you have a handle on each side. Unless you want to melt off your finger prints
If you use an HP charger on a plasma globe, it makes the plasma globe super strong. I touched it in the state, and it felt super tingly and heated up somewhat quickly.
Id recommend more safety glasses when you guys try this wild stuff. you dont wanna find out the hard way how far the molten metal will fly or if it'll land in your eyes
I go to shoot center every weekend. Cool seeing you in video at the range.
Yes finally I hope you upload more and I feel you should make hole filled with oblek and run across it Iâve done it you need to as well itâs like hot coals but not hot and I would like to see lead experiments and showing what water can do in a mold with green sand interesting results and explain why that happened
