      I hope that as a professional you still got 1-2 tips and I didn't waste your time....
      Sorry but I think your reply is ridiculous. Cropping off parts to get the sense of the subject being closer than it is is actually something a lot of sport shooters use.
      I don't BS in my teachings. I'm honest and also give people tips from my viewpoint. If you think differently that's of course totally up to you. And that's ok. But keep it a bit more respectful. I work my a$$ off to give information and videos for people that want to learn. So a bit more respect is not too much to ask I think.

    Wow!!!! So funny, lots of information. Frank Doorhof as a photographer he is awesome. Also as a teacher he is awesome! From giving credit where credit is due, to telling it like it is. He just great. His Stylist/Model is great. This is one of the best B&H seminar I have learned something and because he so funny it was enjoyable to watch.

    Frank, this video couldn't have come at a worse time. I'm at home and and been here for a week now because of a very bad cold. Now I just have to go out and try to shoot some of the images in my mind that your video inspired. But thank you.     I am so in love with this entire channel. I am from the DEEP south, and typically have issues following the instructor's on CZcams. I have not seen a presenter yet that did not speak in a way that we can all understand despite our location. Thank you so much.

    What a jaw dropping tutorial. I had to watch it a second time and keep notes. Now I will use my notes and try everything you said in real life. I would suggest this to everyone. Then this tutorial will stick with you for life. I envy your students.

    This is the best presentation ever on B & H or at least the best of 20-30 that I've watched so far. I have lots of respect for this man, he thinks the same way I do, or the other way around. Best of luck in the future with all projects. Photography should be fun even if you're working. I also don't like to photoshop my photos too much and prefer to do everything creatively in camera.

    That actually gave me the nudge to start actually using light to my advantage. I've always said I like using natural light only because I didn't know enough about flash or strobe photography. Well you've actually inspired me to try and be better. Cheers!!

    I looked at the time on this video and I thought it will be good background noise for a while, and I might learn something. I ended up stopping the video until I could sit and watch it. You have a tremendous insite, that I found very interesting. Some of your pictures I loved, and others not at all, but what I got out of it was how to better shoot people.

    Very informative (and funny) seminar! Just watched this and "Being creative and getting the shot" back to back. Awesome info. I REALLY dig your studio work and your approach to it. You got yourself a new fan!
    I like your comment on the A7R at the end. You can't bring your t4i... a7r's ok tho. hahahahaha. I've been shooting the a7r and now the a7s and I get a lot of comments like... you paid how much for that?!?! 2500$ without the lens? You crazy, my sister has a better camera she paid like 600 with 2 lens. Then they see the pictures.

    Hey Frank:
    You talked about using smoke machines and I see you did much of that on location. Do you need electrical outlets or are battery packs able to run them long enough to get the job done? Thanks.

      +Rick Harris - All of the fog machines we carry require electrical outlets. If you're on location, you'd need to consider some sort of generator to power these by. There are not any battery pack options. - Yossi

    In our area, a "permit" is extremely expensive, for a simple portrait you are paying the fee as though you are a mega-studio doing location filming for a movie. Cost prohibitive to the extreme for nearly any place that has permitting required.
