I just read some comments. I cannot believe how rude some people are. Here's someone teaching some good info and even giving what he would charge, which I've yet to hear anyone do. I love when someone is confident and can teach me a thing or two. A lot of things I didn't understand but it's because I'm more of a newbie and lacking big time in the technical end of things. I can't even figure out Lightroom or Photoshop. Sheesh! Anyway, I really enjoyed Jeff Cable's presentation and I watched the whole thing even though I was looking for something else before going to bed. Thanks, Jeff!
This man has taught me more in an hour than 6 months at a photography academy.
+Urban Traveller Ⓥ Very cool to hear this!!! :)
Nice Video Jeff, what diffuser do you use on your flash?
Switching to Magmod now. :)
the most helpful photography video I ever saw. the guy is not arrogant like some other speakers can be, it's like listening to your best friend talk to you about how he shots. really great advice for anyone shooting events, thank you!
Thanks Suad. Appreciate this very much.
You are not just a great photographer, you are a hard and a smart working guy.

Seriously? Thank YOU for uploading such an information filled hour long presentation like this all for free! You are a noble man!
I would love to but I have no intention of going into the photography business at this time. I can't believe I actually sat through this whole video. I wasn't bored. I actually learned something. Really great stuff. Thank you.
Thanks for your interest but at this point we don't yet have the capability to subtitle videos in Spanish. It is something we are considering for the future. Thanks for watching.
Oh my gosh, yes! Shooting a session can be very hard on the body! I get into all kinds of positions trying to get the shot I want. I probably look pretty hilarious and twisted sometimes. And a lot of times I come home pretty tired and a little sore. But it's SOOO worth it when you upload and start going through all the photos. I'm thankful for the physical activity. I'm so busy that I'll take what I can get. Ha!

Simply Awesome training. I have just learned that so many things I already do, is WORTH IT. My wife and the family almost always fight with me saying I shoot a lot and I edit a lot. Worth it.
I also learned , from your video, that I should edit when and IF they order the prints.
I learned a lot. Thank you for enlightening me and and spreading the art and secrets of Photography. God Bless,
Im new to photography and this video was really helpful 4 years later. Even though I want to get into concert photography I still learned a few things, thanks

Thanks for this informational video, I've photographed a few events and your video gave me ideas on how to improve in the future.
This was a very informative video!! I will look into photo mechanic. Currently I use Lightroom and Photoshoot. I didn't quite realize how important compact flash card and card reader speed is until this video. Just lots and lots of good tips. Thank you!
Wow!! This is the BEST online video regarding photography on CZcams!!!
Great presentation. I've photographed hundreds of events in over 50 countries. Many of the concepts he presents I learned by trial and error. I still learned some new things through his presentation. Thank you!
Jeff something I leARNED ALONG TIME AGO K.I.S.S Keep it simple stupid. You didn't come out and say this but it is clearly how you work. I enjoy your video. I have been working as a pro photographer for almost 35 years with some breaks, I am60 years old the most important thing I have learned in life is you never will know all there is to know. favorite quote "Knowledge is having the wisdom to understand that learning is an endless path that is constantly taking us to the next lesson we have yet to experience. Knowledge is having the ability to recognize this." The famous person this came from was I. Russ Eastburn ESP1000 and Eastburn-Images
Nice and complete video. The reasons are real and all of them are important. Thank you for a good watching!

Great video by Jeff. It was like he was reading my mind. He addressed many of the questions I have about being a successful event photographer.
thanx for talking about the camera settings , and for being an inspiration to us how to start making money.
Your photos are absolutely stunning.
Soo knowledgeable and very articulate. This video is amazing for progressing my thought process while shooting. Thanks for posting.
Dear BHP,
These videos are extremely helpful. Please keep allowing us to view these invaluable contents. I feel like I am in photography class when i watch these videos; I am literally taking notes from each of your videos!
This video is extremely helpful thanks!
yeah. i actually made it through this entire presentation. great job Jeff! first B&H video I've lasted through the whole thing.
Jeff is amazing. He was interesting and the video was full of such useful information. I was wanting more even though it was an hour and 40 minutes.
It was also great that he validated many of the things and techniques that I do when I shoot and gave me insights to things that I will be doing going forward. Like others have said...THANK YOU Jeff.
Taking pictures is a good place to start! Once you have a nice collection of photos and x dollars of money, buy an entry level camera(or more if you have the money for it). Proceed to make money. The qualities of a photograph (great composition, decisive moment, ... etc) are much more important than what kind of camera is used to capture it. One of the greatest photos in my photography career to this date was shot when I was in 7th grade on a minolta P&S of a fisherman fishing from a lake in TW!
This is an excellent presentation. I’m going to go searching for what’s changed in the last 10 years.
Man you can make a 3rd job through public speaking! Great advice, great flow of the session, I didn't get bored at all, and learned a lot! Dear B&H, MOAR FROM JEFF CABLE! THANK YOU (x2)
This is an excellent lecture... finally someone who is talking about the reality based on experience. You are unique in that you have the personality and charisma to do this. There are many photographers who may not posses the confidence. Really enjoyed this, well done :-)
Great instructional Guide, Thank you!
Jeff Cable is the man!
Thank you Jeff. Love your teaching style. You are so smart. I have watched most of your videos twice. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗👏👏👏👏👏
+Laura Mendoza Ahhhh. Thanks!

Succinct. Straight to the point. Very valuable lessons learnt. Thanks Jeff.
Great tips Jeff! Thanks for posting this video.
Very informative. Thanks B&H for looking and thinking beyond just selling stuff. You guys rock !!! Thanks
Thanks for the great presentation. I learned a lot from you. I want to do event photography and you have really inspired me. Thank you!
The photographer who shot my wedding put a folder for all the 'prints' (though we didn't order our prints from him, he referenced us to MPix). He included the rest of the images in another folder. It was worth it, we found a few images in the folder later that we liked and asked him to post process them.
Awesome video...loved it! Loved how it was to the point and no him-hawing! Thanks!
Great video. Gave me a lot of great ideas. Thank you Jeff, and B&H.
Great video, super informative, Easy to follow, gives me the confidence to know I'm a little more prepared before a shoot.
@B&H : this entire series is amazingly helpful and much appreciated ( And you sold some gear I hadn't thought about before). Thank you for bringing these interesting shooters on.

my wallet started vibrating in my pocket with anticipation.
Great video from Jeff Cable Bravo job Well Done!!!! looking forward to seeing more
Thank you very much, I watched it 2 times and on 3th I wrote down all your advices. I am actualy at the beginning of my photography hobby/carrier. Want to do events/ portraits/ . At the moment I do not have website, but I will figure out something. Biggest problem is to find photos in my galery I am praud of, because I still think that they are not worth to share, or put on web. Welll I have to reconsider again, trying to stay on positive way with positive energy and thinking. Thanks for video, help a lot.
Sorry for my not nice English, it is not my native language.
this is a great video and you do bring up a point that I have seen which is very few do anything with the people and audience etc... I learned the hard way one thing... At the church I go to there was a young man about 20 years of age that passed from cancer.... everyone was looking for photos of him...fortunately I had some from various events... However not a lot but had some that was used during the funeral and wake... At that time I try to make sure I get some of everyone at the events then put them to the side just in case of something like the man who passed...I also shoot photojournalist style telling a story....Again great video....Gary HGR Photography of Arizona est 1970
Cheers from Brazil!
