- It's time for 1,000hp on the Hennessey runway! This is the final version of the Dodge Charger H1000, a 4-door sedan with simply ludicrous power and silly supercharged V8 sounds. You could not get more American, but this Brit certainly has a big smile at the wheel going flat out!
Hennessey take the already pretty crazy 700hp Dodge Charger Hellcat SRT Widebody Jailbreak, that's part of the 'Last Call' for the final year of production, as the baseline for this project, and turn it up even further. We're talking an upgraded supercharge system, pulley upgrade, long tube headers, high-flow cats, upgraded high-flow fuel injectors, HPE calibration, high-flow air induction system, crank case ventilation system, plenty of testing and badging, before you also get a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty on the works.
Needless to say, it's a big package, that turns the car into a sleeper that's also capable of beating plenty of supercars down the drag strip. With 1,000bhp and 948 lb-ft of torque, it's time to find out what happens when you put a Brit in about the most-American muscle car you can find!?

I have the little brother challenger in the 6.4 hemi - absolute blast to drive, smoke um when ya want and will cruise all day at 80 like a comfy boat.
I still find it hilarious it has the same steering wheel and key as a Fiat 500x 😂
I think it's great! I think one would fit perfect in the shmuseum. Great team car for you guys. I'd even recommend you get rid of the dark horse and get one of those and that's crazy because I'm a mustang fan. I'd rather see you in a roush stage 3 mustang or saleen. But I would also say that the 1000Hp package on that car makes it seem to me like an American version of a Mercedes black series like the c series white one you had

One thing about the difference between the UK and America definitely is the variety of vehicles and vehicle designs and power. UK seems to always frown on power outside of the exotics. We have that through a variety of cars from all kinds of makers, and over in the UK majority are tiny cars with no power. And the MOT usually disqualifies modified cars as here you buy them from the dealer as such. I'm beyond glad you're getting your full send here in America 🇺🇸 as there's not that many opportunities outside of the Nurembergring.

That's because all America can do to make an interesting car is give it lots of power.
Here in UK/Europe it's more nuanced, we actually have roads with corners and so handling matters, the feel of the entire car matters.
There's no desire for a 2000 kg pig iron brick that can only do straight roads.

Shmee150 Absolutely Incredible Video I think that Widebody Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Jailbreak H1000 is absolutely incredible although if had one I would go the cheaper upgrading route by going with a Mopar Shop such as Full Blown Performance, Jokers Performance, Baily's Hyperformance ect

@Shmee150 you should come to roadkill nights in pontiac Michigan sometime. Street legal drag racing and dodge is head sponsor debuting these cars to general public in front of m1 concourse race track. They also do ride alongs on the track.
It's the weekend before the largest rolling traffic jam in Michigan also in pontiac in August.

I only have a Challenger RT Widebody - which is already a lot of fun. I have also experienced the Hellcat - which was - of course - even more fun! But this Hennessey seems to be an absolut fun-monster! Great video, Tim, thanks!

Hope you’re going to own or review the Charger Daytona, Shmee150, because the Charger is back.
I would daily drive a Hellcat, such a cool concept, 700hp family car.
You left out the part of the build sheet at the bottom where they charge around 60k for the mods, all for a supercharger upgrade a tune and some bolt ons.
since you're there, you could leave the Dark Horse with Hennessey, maybe they can squeeze a few more horses out of it.
When people take the splitter cover off years later when they finally grow up it will be different color and have irreversible scratches. See them all the time living near Detroit.

You NEED the wide body, previous non-wide body cars ran a 245 or a 275 section tire for both the 6.4L Scat Packs and the Hellcats... Widebody gives you a 305 tire square setup

These cars are so overkill it’s actually comical. Personally I would never buy one but they’re definitely fun to watch and listen to. I’ve never understood the appeal of owning a car that only gets traction on a drag strip lol.

No lie man the hellcat is a car to be respected because the min you don’t it will try to kill you. That’s stock 🤣 and damn sure in the rain. Make it 1000hp and it now needs slicks for your safety. Not a light forgiving vehicle by any stretch. You must be a real driver for this car most are not it’s very analog especially the older ones which makes it hard to deal with on the street. I’ve owned one since 16. Absolutely love the car. Smiles per gallon as they say 🤣. These cars really wake up with a cam and help a bit in the upper hp range for launching and high rpm top end power plus it sounds so good chopping. Almost feel the hellcat should have came cammed but doesn’t need it. Also you can tell the trans is being limited upon full power though. Makes sense It’s an 8hp90 dealing with 945ftlbs of tq 🤣. Not NM of tq either which I feel they decided to use for the fact that their cars are 4 valve making lower tq. Kind of like calling regular condoms magnums 🤣 to feel equivalent. Just jokes man all good fun. The reason people are leaving pink guards on their cars is because it represents breast cancer awareness supporting the boobies as they say, at least that’s what I hear maybe their woman maybe their gay maybe their just lazy who knows. Hennessey always produces top notch equipment! I seen the directive from Auburn Hills Michigan about the pink spoiler protectors. They used to be yellow and they changed them to pink to promote people removing them. They're there just to protect the chin spoiler during shipment and when they're 8n the possession of the dealer and are supposed to be removed when the vehicle gets prepped for the new owner. But most dealers asks if the owner wants them left on.
