    Excellent Review, They corrected most of the problems. However 55 seconds in you state that it comes or came with a 15" blade, it comes with a 14" Blade.I don't see anybody selling it with a 15" Blade

    Thanks for the great review, it's always hugely humbling to see people so happy with the products we've designed. And you've picked up on all the small minor improvements which usually get missed. I personally spent a lot of time with our end users in the USA to ensure we were covering all the issues with the old saw and I'm very happy that it seems we have delivered.

    This is THE best review of ANY tool I have seen on CZcams. You answered every question I had about this saw. How is it different from the older saw and what are the features it now has, ...you showed it. The video work was excellent, up close and in focus. I was debating over Fein and Evolution. The improved pin lock vice and square thread vice screw improvements, and cost, has swayed me toward Evolution. Oh yeah, thanks for telling me the handle wasn't plastic. I was thinking it did look like plastic. Great review! Thank you..

    I just received this S380CPS yesterday and cut up 40 feet of 2'x2' x .120 wall steel tubing making about 30 cuts. Half of the cuts were made at 22.5 degrees. This saw is totaly awesome and made a cut in about ten seconds. The blade tips feels like new and this saw is unbelievable how it will cut through steel. My old band saw isn't going to be used much anymore.

    I have been wanting an Evolution for a while but couldn't justify the cost. Found a Rigid Abrasive saw for 50.00 on Craiglist and have been using it. Got on Facebook yesterday and saw a 380 brand new in the box for 200.00 so i jumped on it. Didn't realize there was a difference until i saw the CPS. Mine is the first version. Regardless, for 200.00 i'm extremely happy. Great review comparing them.

    My local welding store has the Steelmax S14 for $325 or $350. I held off from the purchase because I wanted to wait and see how this new Evolution saw was going turn out. The Steelmax is probably the heaviest saw I’ve ever tried to lift. I had the Skilsaw 12” but returned it because the fence would flex when I cranked down on the clamp. The included blade was outstanding though. Nice review of the Evolution you posted, thanks!

    I received an evolution rage2 for Christmas, I decided about 3 weeks ago to give it a try. Now I wish I would've got one years ago! I've made over 100 cut on 4"x4"x1/2" angle iron alone!! And countless other dimensions of mild steel. It still cut accurate but not as fast as when it was new but that's completely understandable

    Awesome review and glad they made the changes. Back tracking to Jimbo's Garage where I first saw him using the new saw. Was going to build my own DIY saw then was watching one of his videos and the search was on. Now I'll just spend my cin on one of these. And good safety gear. Definitely hearing protection. 20 years of jet noise already has my ears in a constant ring. LOL. Carp happens.

    My channel needs one of these. HomeDepot had an Evolution for $222 last week and I wanted to pick it up, cant recall model number. I just went online and noticed they are more expensive than the price I saw. I live 50 miles away from the city but if its there next week I may pick one up. My Dewalt abrasive wheel saw works ok but its time for an upgrade.

    ordered this saw, based on this and some other reviews. Evolution S380CPS: Metal Cutting Chop Saw The saw arrived DEFECTIVE,, the "lock" used to change the blade does not work. As there is not blade installed, it was a complete show stopper... How could a simple thing like this get missed ?

    I’m new to metal fabrication but have been woodworking for years. My question is, since there is little heat generated by this saw can you retrofit it with some sort of dust collection?

      Ya, that’s what I figured. Once I get my saw I’ll figure out the level of debris it generates and how to mitigate the shavings as I like to keep a clean work area. I also really liked your review!

    • @1D10CRACY
      @1D10CRACY  Před 2 lety +1

      The cuts don't wonder if that is what you are asking. They stay pretty true and I can get very close to a true 90. The blades last a super long time and when they get dull they just cut slower. Cuts are smooth to the touch and the metal stays cool during the cut.
