- Some people ask me how they can meet single men and women in Korea, and how Korean singles meet, so I prepared this video for you! I went to a wine tasting / wine party in Korea, and there were 15 single men and 15 women sitting. We played some games, but maybe too many games. I found it was not easy to get to know people. Is this also for foreigners? I would say no. I felt this program was way too hard for foreigners to understand all the rules. The reason why this dating program is so strict is because to certificate all the people's identities, I guess. Do you think it's a good way to meet people or not? Please let me know by comment!

This type of event is not for me. If I want to know the person I need more time. Few secs or minute doesn’t give me anything important about that person. Like okay you go to that and that school - that gives me like more bad vibe actually than the good one. But that also depends how it is said. Well basically from these events I won’t get anything useful. Just curiosity sake I would go tho and for the wine ofc 😅😂 The wine I hope was good? 😅

Loved the dynamic of Mike in the vlogs. Some of the profile descriptions were definitely telling about what some of these people are looking for in their partners. I think in such a fast paced society as Korea where one spends most of their days at school or work, this wine event makes sense for meeting like minded people that are interested in marriage.

Jina, I like the lightheartedness of this video. I think you should give these kinds of events another chance - you should go at least 3 times to see what happens - maybe even go to one in Incheon. I would definitely go to an event lke this if I were looking for a serious relationship.

The only way you can find out the true personality is by observing person in action, especially how one treats those who are weaker then oneself ( i.e. elderlies, children, animals, low paying workers) . Drunken state means nothing. One can be too talkative ,yet be really quiet. Just one point , one of my favorite singers found her true soulmate when she was working with him online and then went to Italy to meet him. The best way to find someone is by working together or be close for a certain amount of time. But, Jina you are a wonderful and beautiful person, one day you will meet a person of your dreams. Cannot be otherwise . 👍
Do you have events like Sip and Paint? If so, you should consider it. Basically, you and friends paint while having drinks. I am not a drinker. The place I went to had virgin drinks, but it was fun watching people paint as the drinks flowed.

I think it would have been quite the same in my country (France), there are conservative people everywhere who like to show that they have very prestigious educational background, work in a good company and have a good position. As you describe it I would probably have felt the same. I would have disliked to date an office worker man and someone who wants to rush into a relationship but I would have liked the MBTI part (I'm so into it but in France they don't even know about it) and the friendship part 😊.

I hope the wine was good though, hehe 😅. Yeah, speed dating goes fast and you speak to someone for a limited, yet short amount of time. I couldn't do this though...I would prefer to get to know someone deeply than to just keep moving around every 5-10 minutes to speak to X amount of people in a room; too short of a conversation 🤔.
Same for me! It takes much more time for me to open up 😄 Plus one of my traits I’d say about me is I’m genuine and caring towards people I know, but that doesn’t help with 5 minutes of knowing someone.

I think in Korea, lookism is very prevalent. That’s why they only fill in superficial characteristics on top of the typical job/education level.
Sure good looks will get you the attention but it’s personality/character that makes you stay. Medical treatments/surgeries can only keep you looking good to a certain limit, it’s never forever and you’ll need to spend a lot of $ on them as well.
@@evermoore66665 yeah, it is everywhere like that. Here goes a saying " you can never have a second chance to make a first impression". When u meet someone you judge the person by the level of attractiveness. Then you begin to psychologically decipher this person's personality . But, one thing got to say , if one is nasty and has a bad character then no amount of make up or plastic surgery can fix what is inside , a true personality , especially when it is very unattractive .

Jina you need to be more picky, I don’t think there is a man good enough in Korea for you. Don’t settle for Korean men, I don’t think they can handle a queen. How can you keep your lifestyle with a man being intimidated and controlling? I think it’s normal for men and women in t their 30s to stay single.
