- I enjoyed this sooo much. Like my first reaction to this is one thing, but the way I’m obsessing over this now is whole another one.

in all the groups i rank him as number 1 by far in his vocal range and talent. Other groups and other singers are amazing and i love them all, but Mitch sits on the top of the throne above all.
They used the auto tune as a tribute to Cher, who did that in the original version.
Fun fact: when they were starting they were asked to do a Cher song, but they refused because they didn’t think they could do it justice.
Now we can see how far they’ve come 😊

Thank you for the intelligence you showed in your reaction. Rather than being upset on hearing the autotune, you stopped to check and see if there was a reason. It is amazing how many people are upset about it and won't even try to understand why. Great job!
They used autotune as an effect on believe and blue. Because the original records did. Good reaction
Cher very publicly disliked her voice around that time. So she was the first to heavily rely on the effect as a stylistic choice!
I want to give you such kudos for actually researching and learning that Cher was an autotune pioneer. Because yes, many assume it was T-Pain, but also, the awareness you demonstrated when you heard it being used during this video? You didn’t make assumptions or criticize them for doing it. Because you knew it was a stylistic choice. And you googled why. That alone makes your reaction my favorite. I love your reactions in general, but this is the first time I’m commenting. 💕

I feel you, Mitch is my favorite as well. Him and Scott had a side channel/duo called Superfruit for many years. They have great many songs (not a cappella) that are amazing... Guy.exe is a particular favorite of my ❤️😍

The main complaint about their videos is "it's over already".
This one in particular, shows how important each of them are in the group.
The leads were done perfectly. But without the bass and rhythm, it wouldn't work.
They did this live last year at the Hollywood Bowl concert. It's incredible. They sounded perfect and did not skip a beat.
Did you know that 20 days before that concert, 4 of the 5 members of the group actually worked the ticket box office for 4 hours. I spoke to someone who was there. They sold tickets, milled around the crowd and sang a few songs.
That's pretty incredible, to make and have that kind of connection with their fans.
Kirstie wasn't there. Because she was taking care of her new baby girl. (She was backstage during the concert. So she was never far away)

I loved your internal struggle with choosing Mitch as a personal favorite, when they all are so very, very good! And, I just wanted to tell you that you are not the only one going back and forth. Depending on the song, I bounce from one member to the next as my personal favorite.

Some of his sounds he can make while breathing in and breathing out. Some probably have to done specifically in or out. You still have to be aware of how you are doing it so you do not get light headed or pass out. I am sure he has to practice the routine to make sure he does breath properly.
Yes, the autotune was their tribute to Cher. Just a few weeks after releasing their best ever album, they turn around and release this, their best medley since Daft Punk! Even the most devoted Pentaholics had no idea this was coming out, it took EVERYBODY by surprise. Now we're wondering what else they have up their sleeves!

Ugh yes me too!! Scott is my personal favorite but I absolutely love all of them! Although a small part of me went “oh no! We’ve lost another one to Mitch!” When she said he might be her favorite 🤣🤣 but I can see why, he’s great!

I enjoyed your reaction very, very much. You commented on many things that other reactors didn't even noticed. For example (among everything else we all love about PTX) Matt's bass slide in the beginning and stylistic choice of autotune - they use it for the reason. (I do apologize for my writing, English is not my mother tongue). Well, kudos for your reaction. :D

If you want to listen to a song lead by Matt: You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch. Scott took over the bass in his stead, and Matt totally killed the lead vocals on that one. Even if it's a Christmas song, you can listen to PTX Christmas music all year.
There's no shame in liking Mitch a bit more. He's my favorite too though I do love them all. Like you said, they all have something special, and combined, they create this awesome whole we enjoy so much.
Whilst continuing on your journey, you might also eventually want to look into their solo projects. Everyone has their own youtube channel with some solo stuff out there. In addition, Scott and Mitch form the duo Superfruit; they started as a humorous vlog channel when they were rooming together but they quickly delved back into music. One thing about Superfruit: Always watch to the very end - they have bloopers.

Hi Gabbsi, Again, just another insane song by them ?? There is something nuts about Pentatinox ? Maybe like Dimash from a different planet, They are somehow able to take any kind of song or genre and twist into some kind of ridiculously creative piece of ear candy. Holy Cheese Muffins ! Another interesting thing about this medley. Several reactors that I will guess are even younger than you are, know a lot of these songs ? How does that happen? The 90's was 30 years ago? Cher was not the first to use auto tuning but was the one to use it to the extreme for that effect. It was originally used for exactly what the inventor wanted it for of correcting notes in the recording to reduce how many takes it took. It was built into the recording equipment used at the studio Cher used.
Yeah it’s not really auto tune in the regular sense I don’t think.. it’s an effect put on the vocal.. they don’t need auto tune in the regular sense

I'm subbed to a bunch but you are now one of my top 2 reactors. I just love your facial expressions, they tell it all. You should try Superfruit, that's Scott and Mitch's channel. Wait until you hear the Korean vocal harmony group called Forestella performing bohemian rhapsody ( the KBS Kpop version of 2 years ago and NOT the 1year ago one.). You know I’ll never steer you wrong ). Pentatonix is the best a Capella group band in the world and their version of Bohemian Rhapsody is fabulous but you ( along with millions of others) will be awestruck by Forestella version. Their one member who is the lowest voice I’ve ever heard in a vocal harmony group will mesmerize you!! They have many other songs that I’m certain you will want to watch after you become a fan. “ songs like “ the sound of silence” “ angel” which will transport you to another world, etc. please give them a chance if not publicly the privately. I’m certain your subscriber base have watched Forestella” and enjoy their performances.

There's only one thing wrong with this video ... too short!
It's not auto-tune, it's a vocoder - Auto-tune, shifts the vocal track to the correct pitch, a vocoder manipulates the vocal sound to create a vocal effect.
We are used to pausing and true Ptx fans would rather you pause
