- Mark Lynskey, CEO of Lynskey Performance, manufacturers of high performance titanium bicycle frames, gives us a behind the scenes tour of the frame production process from start to finish. Pardon the background noise, this is a factory environment.
Mark and staff, thank you for your time!

This video helped me decide on ordering a 2018 Cooper CX. I wanted handmade in the USA, and Lynskey definitely qualifies in that department. Thanks for showing us the magic!
Glad my video helped! Look forward to sharing more factory tour videos in the future, enjoy the bike.
Love my r140. Great to see how much craftsmanship went into making it.
Pulse Tig Welding. Prefect application for a great process.
A very good sign of a well engineered product, I am impressed.
So excited to ride my grandpa’s old lynskey 😁
Just ordered their GR300. I am the first guy who officially buy their product from Mongolia. Cant wait to ride it woohooo!
Love my R255 and enjoyed seeing where and how it was born...thanks for the vid.
thanks for sharing, as a machine component designer and cyclist I love such clips :-)
Thanks Velofil!
I've got a R 275 lynskey. I love it,thanks for the factory tour.
My Pro GR will be here in a month. Very excited.
Nice one!
Very impressive . . . I'm sold!
Thank you for sharing - very nice bikes! Greetings from Germany!
got an early frame with the straight thin tubes and would love to move to wireless someday but she still looks and rides great.
Amazing to see these. I absolutely adore my Lynskey R275 such a great ride strong, rigid and a fast ride a great deal from Chain Reaction Cycles I ride hard and fast almost everyday, as much as I can 😅titanium at its finest 😅
Thanks. Very informative
Who's that doing the mitering close-up? Oh! It's me!
I've been looking for a new mountain bike and decided to look up American mountain bike companies and Lynskey came up this just maybe my new bike I live in TN just a few hours from the company. I like buying American made and I definitely like buying made in TN what suspension bike would you recommend
raw! Love it. Where is that funny dude who did all the lynskey vids. He was a crack up.
Hey dude, I haven't seen those videos you are referencing. I dealt solely with Lynskey El Presidente during my visit. I have an interview or two with him on the channel, awesome bloke to chat with. Hope all is well in ADL all things considered.
Nice Bikes! Lynskeys are built by Americans in my hometown!
Good thing he's the boss. I'd never let an employee of mine enter a workroom floor in open sandals.
I like his "safety flip-flops" an OH&S nightmare.
LOL. But when you run the company, I guess you can make a few exceptions for yourself.
This makes me want to buy my made in America bike happen quicker and even more so since it's in TN just a few hours from where I live in TN. I wonder if I could get a tour
Very nice, I think I will get pro29 xtr Di2. Can you tell me how much weight it?
Very educational! Not much in the Quality Control of tolerances or OSHA worker requirements... 'we just lay the part on the picture in the plan, and if it looks ok, we weld it.' (2:50) And if it doesn't go as planned? Grind it till you find it. (6:33) I guess sorta close is good enough for their customers. To each their own... No thanks.
Did you have video stabilization or auto zoom/focus on? For me, the video seemed to "wash" a little bit. But that could be because I'm a little tired!
Camera focuses automatically... I was using the camera free form, meaning no help from a stand, etc.
This has to be the most underwhelming facility of this size/scale I’ve ever seen. I hope it’s improved since then.
What did you expect from a facility that welds tubes on a mass scale? This is a pretty normal sight, and I have toured many similar facilities. If you are looking for a different tour experience, check out my Battaglin tour video -czcams.com/video/Sl1d1gOystc/video.html
I understood that welding Titanium is different than Aluminum or Steel in that you need to flow Argon through the frame during welding and there are special holes to allow the gas flow
That Assembler at the end dropped his tool, I would be so embarrassed!
I noticed that too, but I think we've all done that at one time or another! At least something crazy like the bike falling out of the stand didn't happen!
You should really look into getting a lav mic or some sort of audio setup for this kind of stuff. Was really tough to hear what he was saying most of the time and the background noise was awful.
This is an older video, a lot has changed since then. Thanks for the feedback.
I can barely hear the audio, would probably help to look at your mic setup despite the background noise
Audio sounded fine to me...
if you want to listen to mostly background noise :)
Sound was fine. Its a working fabrication shop you need to concentrate on what someone is saying and not on background noises,
That is a hard environment to record, used a directional mic which I figured was the best approach. I thought it turned out pretty well considering. Thanks for the feedback.
No worries, not a criticism of your content as I am a regular viewer of your vids/website. Maybe use a LAV/Clip on mic for these situations? These will give you a better signal to noise ratio in a noisy environment like this.
The grinding destroyed this tour.
It's an active production facility, so...
It's definitely the "American Way". At least they're made in America, which is still better than Chinese ti.
