It always bothered me that Lauren didn’t stand up to meet Marc Jacobs. When I saw that it was that episode, I was like, “If Timmy doesn’t comment on her not standing up, then he’s not who I thought he was.” Good to know it bothered you guys too. 💚
She was way too blasé with him. It almost seemed like she wasn't a fan. He came out just to meet her.

Travis told Jimmy Fallon “My wife is a big fan, she wants to meet you.” And jimmy was like, of course! Walked over to where she was sitting, and she just extended her arm out 😳
LC has explained this in an interview, she got incredibly nervous when she met him.

@@pvssology Obviously. And if they were in a different setting I would completely agree with you. But in a professional setting, especially when the owner of the company walks in and you are meeting them for the first time, you stand up.
Spencer and Brody admitted they saw The Hills and wanted to be a part of it. Spencer wanted to be a villain and Brody wanted to be seen as the good guy. So they went where The Hills would film, and asked to be on the show. BTS

Lauren was so clearly pissed about having to work that show. I think that played into her not standing up. She didn’t seem happy that the plans had changed. She wasn’t dressed for it and it looked like hard, uncomfortable work. That said, she should have stood up!

I know a lot of things don’t make sense in regards to Lauren going over to Marc Jacobs (sorry if I spelt that wrong).... but y’all have to remember that The Hills wasn’t just a regular tv show. It was HUGE. So even though Marc Jacobs didn’t need The Hills, I believe that it was the perfect opportunity to introduce their brand to a younger audience who probably aren’t into fashion as of yet. I don’t know. My opinion.

I never really cared about any of the spencer/heidi story lines. Heck, i cared more about what was happening in Stephanie's life than theirs. They were just kind of their soaking up screen time from more important characters and that just annoyed me

Not gonna lie, I enjoy the episodes where it's more about the work Lauren does than the drama.

I always saw it as her being nervous and nothing more. People are so harsh to her! No ones perfect, but it seems she gets picked on a lot in the comments here. ☹️
Brody's mom was Elvis's girlfriend from 1972 to 1976 they were never married although she did have a super rich husband David Foster. He can be seen in Princes Of Malibu, Brody and Spencers 8 episode reality show and the crazy fab palace they all lived in at that time. Also love the video's you all are doing an awesome job.

It just hit me. Of course this show was heavily produced. You really think they flew the insanely famous (at the time) Whit and Lauren to do petty work for designers? They were literally on magazines and red carpets at that time.
Why didn’t we all think of that back then?
That confused me as a teenager. I was like um why aren't there any paparazzi and lauren doing a shoot for the cover of cosmo.
Lauren did look like Teen Vogue Barbie lol I thought Whitney looked fun and fresh. That entire room needed to lighten up. Sheesh! Lauren gets a pass for not standing up because she wore those heels the ENTIRE time! I remember I saw her wearing that hat and immediately went and bought one just like it, and I still have it ha,ha Teasing Whitney over what she wore was not the look Lisa Love! That was straight up mean lol I think Timmy forgot that Bruce at that time was deep in the Kardashian dough, not to mention Brody's mom is an successful model and songwriter (she wrote Whitney's "I Have Nothing" and was on "Hee-Haw"!) who dated Elvis AND married David Foster. That watch was probably one of a 100 lol

No! Spencer and Brody were trust fund rich kids! They surf pop bottles at the club and hook up with girls, and do rap records music stuff since brodys step father was in the music business.... they grew up together and their families were very close friends and lived near each house.. bffs since middle school. Spencer dad was always working so he would sleepover brodys house and literally do everything with Brody: they went to college at usc and dropped out together after 1st year lol. Brody started hitting the clubs and partying with Paris Hilton and Spencer found his love so he quit the club life Lol. Hope that helps

I always thought Lisa's comment about being a little dressy just meant that Whitney was maybe a bit overdressed for a meeting at the office, especially with a flower pattern like that. Like she was going to a wedding or something. However I don't think they were saying it was such a bad thing (I don't think one can be too overdressed ever) but they just thought it was a bit funny maybe.

Does anyone else remember the show Princes of Malibu??? It was about Brody and his brother being rich.
I remember on one of the episodes of that show, Spencer tried to sell Brody's step dad's (David Foster) Grammy award..
It was about Spencer and Brody lol; they dropped out of uSc: Spencer and Brody grew up together and went to school since middle school then went to usc stopped and dropped out; they were trust fund kids and they were the elite rich kids of LA. That’s why Spencer and Brody came on the hills cuz they said their lives were better then the girls lol... also Spencer and Brody families are very close; Spencer dad used to work all the time and so Spencer would sleepover brodys house! They did everything together lol lol. Surf party hook up with girls and shop was their gameplane until Spencer found Heidi.
I think Brody has light under eyes yes from tanning or wearing sunglasses often ahahah. So same haha

I really like the episodes with Withney because the focus is not just on drama (which is fun but after a while start to get boring). I find them refreshing and inspirational as we get to see what working in fashion entails (yeah, I loved the concept of The City). I can really see that while Whit is not as present as the other girls in the Hills her role is actually key to balance out the plot
