If we ever get a cities skylines 2, this is how roads should work. Oh, and while we're at it, include intersection marking tool and Traffic manager in the base game as well.
NAME NAME NAME While they’re at it, we need more multiplatform metro interchanges too
@@CK-wv7gf Also a full seasons' cycle
and more assets
traffic manager is pretty big mod, i think low end pcs might appreciate to not add it. (or it could be a free dlc)
Add in metro overhaul system too
Fantastic, I have to admit this mod just blew my mind, this tutorial is going to make me dig it out again - thanks and great work :-)
Invite him in your video please!
That won’t happen
Teaport going be getting CSUR upgrade any time soon biffa?
Can't wait what the Teaport is going to experience with the mod! 😁👍
OG Lobster It’s hard to change a old city to CSUR, prob start a new one with csur
I'm actually lost for words. This is... mindblowing. I feel so lucky to be playing C:S in this era of modding.
I hope something like this will be standard with Cities Skylines 2 (if that is going to be a thing)
You know if it is, it may only be a "part" of what this offers. It would be better to have the game have less, and allow the community to add more. if it's the other way, then one may have to fight with existing systems, or find ways to replace them. The less model allows more freedom for others to do it how they want.
In fact the more I see what people are doing with mods, I feel the devs on purpose left things out. It not only saved them time and money, but also, allows others to enjoy the game in ways they may never have thought of (they also may have used that time to improve mod support instead). A good example is look at what all the Traffic Manager can do. They exposed that detail of code is just mind blowing almost
2:30 the kind of person that causes pile up
The game should look like that without mods!!!!
Hi follow me pls I record cities skylines.
Amos S.T then my pc would explode
With 200 assets and CSUR Reborn, took me 23gigs out of 32 gigs of ram
@@codizzlesdad3743 I mean the vanilla game
@@amoss.t8264 You can't add all this into the vanilla game, Most people wouldn't be able to run it. With 15 mods and 1200 assets, I use 14/16gigs of my ram. I'm pushing it as is XD
This was very helpful!! I was struggling to understand how CSUR actually worked, thank you so much!!
I'm amazed at how many tools players can develop. CS every day seems more like an urban design software more than a game. And I love it.
Meanwhile PS4 players are just asking for parking lots.
nobody cares about console trash
@@jiyunsun people like you are why PC gamers get a bad rap by console players. Why do you feel the need to demean Console Gamers just becausd they play on a different console than you do.
kayserikay underrated comment. ;)

Oh my gosh this is what so many people have dreamed for so long! It’s incredible getting such smooth roads and intersections creation tools! Amazing work!
this is just so amazingly helpful and informative. this tutorial made me use CSUR again. thank you very much and definitely a great work!
I have wanted something like this in the game for so long now!! Always thinking I would have to wait another 10 years for citybuilders to get that far. Thank you so much for the beautiful tutorial.
Wow, amazing.
Thank you every day.
Beautiful man.. This game is a work of art and modders add to the value
This is mind-blowing! Absolutely AMAZING!
Wow this is absolutely amazing!!
Wow! This is absolutely fantastic! This is always what I have wanted, I just didn't know the mod existed. Shall download immediately. Brilliant!
I really have to try this out. I've been meaning to for a long time, it's just ... intimidating, haha. This introduction tutorial goes a long way toward demystifying it. I *don't* actually think this is how vanilla roads should behave - not exactly like this, anyway - because this clearly requires a level of knowledge and patience that a typical player isn't going to have. All of this would have to happen more automatically for it to make sense for vanilla play. That said, I'm definitely not a vanilla player. I'd love to see a port of this overhaul with more Americanized highways too.
The mod is quite easy to use actually, you just need a few hours to get used to it and try doing interchanges with as little shift lanes as possible ; )
I agree- this mod is really cool and obviously powerful. But this tutorial has my head spinning. I think the information is packed too tightly- I feel like I jumped into the fourth level of the mod's tutorials. I need Urban roads 101, explained at a 101 level.
This mod is pretty much all I needed thanks for this amazing work
this is game changing! absolutely amazing. the amount of possibilities this enables is ininite!
This mod makes me want to start playing again. Love it!
I'm glad you slowed down your presentation speed from your previous tutorials. This will help a lot of people to further take advantage of this awesome mod! Hats off to you and your team for making this great mod. Tai Hao la!!!
Wow this is perfect! I never liked the way that lanes transition in the vanilla game and devoted so much time learning how to make them a little bit better with props and mods. This makes it so much easier and much better!
Dude this is freaking beautiful. Good work team.
I just... so amazed of how you guys love this game.
So glad to see CSUR making it here. One of my must have mods.
I always thought the main crux of CSUR was that it was so many different roads and I just wouldn't know which road to use where.
The explanation in this video and the tools made for it change everything though.
Very nice!
Beautiful ;) I am so close to playing the game again
I've been saying this for several years now: this is one of the 2 next steps that city builders need to take: managing lanes instead of road alignments; the other is irregular zoning and different sized grids for different types of zones/densities. Thank you, you made me want to play this game again, as using move it to get my highways to look accurate was not only tedious, but it messed up traffic. This looks very clean!
awesome concept.will definitely try it out!
Holy heck this is a crazy wild mod. I can't wait to install it and give it a try (especially that on/off ramp piece, you have no clue how long I have been in the asset builder trying to do this vanilla, and usually cursing). The UI also looks very well designed and useful.
I do feel I'll have a learning curve to hit though, but who cares, can't wait to try this out (and start fixing up my new city)
6:48 hahahaha my computer go brrrrr *dead
My computer doesn't even have that many GB of hardware
First MOM, then IMT and now CSUR. Whenever I think, "now the game is perfect", I'm actually wrong! I love it.❤
Wow mind blown getting this when I next get on.
This is one hell of a mod! Have to try it one day in the future.
Amazing, simply amazing!
Awesome mod, great tutorial. It's a bit complicated but if you pause to read what is in the mods menu you can get the hang of it. Will try using csur again soon.
Wow, what a stunning mod. Much kudos to the developers. Just when you think this game has shown you all it can...
Definitely want to get back playing this game again now!!!!
This is awesome!!!
Lovely, please do one of funtional parking gates and more. That one is also cool
this is beautiful. i needed an urban road mod because the highways look a little weird to me, but im from america so that explains it
Okay, this is actually insane. Someone will probably start testing real life junctions with this.
An amazing video for an amazing mod; an amazing mod for an amazing game!!
This is just amazing, thnx
This mod adds what should have been a base feature of the game. Awesome. I will play it again this weekend!
AMAZING!!! very realistic
Finally I can make realistic off and on ramps and interchanges, this is all i've ever wanted in life!
As an Engineer (Civil/Project on Transportation) this is my favorite addon. I feel original road tool has option for lane based network development. I hope we will have an option like this in Cities Skylines 2
This fantastic work immediately reminds me of the RHM mod from Cities XL. I guess I am too old to still remember it lol
I will call this revolutionary tools of the game it attracts me back to cities skylines after stop playing for 3 years!!!!
this. is. awesome.
Great video!
I'm in awe
FINALLY! YES! LOVE IT!
this is everything I ever wanted
CSUR, TPME and Intersection marking tool should become part of the game.
I wouldn't mind spending 10~20 for advanced networking DLC.
now this tutorial was better explained than the old one :D
😳 Wow. Just...wow...😳 Thank you, I'm getting this! 😦
This cannot be more fantastic than it is now!!
Awesome!!
By the by, Can these roads comply to the Roads United Core 2 mod and the textures?
Guess I shall check as soon as I get the chance!
Thank you for amazing content.
1:33 !!! Holy crap!!! Ive been trying to build proper looking flyovers and somehow this exist! Demn demn
I really like this tool although by now I am always creating my own roads using invisible roads and then building the road itself via procedual objects, this takes way longer but gives the extra variation and realism
This should b the stock operational system. Outstanding work. Game upgraded for sure. A must have
This is so good
Guys I loved this new mod, it brought a lot of new things that the game doesn't have, it's worth downloading this mod! Now it motivated me more to play Cities Skylines!
2:37 that car lol
talk about living on the edge
@@Violant3 what a bad boy.😂
This is so cool! Would love to use this in the world I’m making 🥺
This game rocks!
For those who don't know, CSUR is 4100 assets in total and it will increase your RAM by 2GB.
I haven't had regrets buying the base spec 16gb MBP14 through all the dev work I do until I fired up Cities again.
Yeah I'm good
I literally just deleted 500 assets worth of stuff and had to restart a new city becuz that was too much but that's even more
Personally I won't be using this mod (it doesn't suit my play style), but I'm very excited to see what kind of awesome networks large mod users come up with!
Your style isn’t realistic?
@@alexchen4442 realism in a virtual somewhat cartoonish game has its challenges and isn't as fulfilling for some as it is for others. C:S isn't supposed to be hyper realistic, but it can be so whichever playstyle people want they can do.
@Tyler i just thought people usually want to build good looking interchanges. Just my personal opinion
@@alexchen4442 yeah i know what you mean, I don't build super realistically but I like it when they look more accurate. When I see players build spaghetti roads with no order or thought put into them it makes my skin crawl but somehow people don't mind if the roads look like a mess, as long as there isn't traffic which is respectable
@Tyler yeah, that’s not exactly realistic, i used to build square too, still on the way to realistic, long way. Already played 250hrs
I never tried using this in-game because I was worried about my RAM but after watching this and seeing what you can do with it, I have to use this.
I watched the entire video and I ended up more confused than I had started. Guess I'll have to watch it a few more hundred times.
I never understand these explanations 😂
My jaw dropped the whole time. Wow.
is there a way to remove the automatic intersection/ramp markings? id rather use Intersection Marking Tool to make my own.
Also the lane arrows. if these are replacable, this will make all my other road assets obsolete
Necessary, thank you
The implementation here seems a bit convoluted, but very close to my ideal road system. Excellent work,!
The biggest flaw I have with the road system is that you cant specify a road reserve. I.e. a narrow road with a wide reserve allows you to widen your roads later without knocking down any buildings. Can this mod do that too?
(Warning for photosensitive viewers: this video contains some flashing imagery)
This is a truly impressive mod! Well done, all!
THANK YOU
This reminds me a lot of SimCity 4 NAM Project 👍🏻
Beauty is in details
Holy shit this looks beautiful
This is the cities skylines equivalent of NAM for simcity 4
I remember when I scrolling tons of ramps puzzle pieces to place only to get demolished because I chose the wrong one xD
This is great. One thing I wanted to ask was if I could potentially use this tool to implement a tram in the middle of the road, even street side parking with physically separated bike lanes. Additionally I was wondering if I could even implement a metro in the middle of the road.
gq
Well they didn't come with it, but you can do it if you leave the center empty and add it manually.
I think they are working on that, I don't think this is the final form of this mod
Капек, это нереально) Супер крутой мод.
Now all that's left is to take all that experience, all the successful experimentation results, everything modders did to make C:S an extremely versatile product and implement it in C:S2.
Indeed.I can't even count how many saved games I've lost because a mod or asset becomes outdated.Now...when there's a new DLC,I wait like a week so everyone can update their mods.It would be nice not to need 75 mods and 4000+ assets, just to put some semi-realism into this game.Live and learn I suppose.
Amazing
Definitely one of the top 5 mods that should be a vanilla feature!
2:30 That lane change up at the top... I see that kind of driving too many times in my area!
No extra realism mod needed
Blank road builder built on this legacy brilliantly :)
I would love it even more if you somehow combine it with trams
We need THIS ! HAHA
Looks like a amazing mod, wish we had these in the base game though
Definitely there has to be a skylines 2 where they incorporate several essential mods
Loved the video, but am curious about the ramp supports at 7:15 because I want them!
How long has this been around? Wish I had gotten this years ago! Wow!
revolutionary innovation
1:26 very realistic mod, even simulates how people drive in urban areas. keep your eyes at the bottom lol.
So there is no real highway (I mean road type not the looks) in CSUR, does this not affect how cims travel/choose roads?
Is there any chance you will add the functionality to have tram tracks and bus lanes aswell instead of normal lanes? Right now I leave room for large medians and draw seperate tram tracks over them with anarchy but it makes my intersections a mess, I mean it works but it's a hassle to say the least :(
Amazing mod btw, brings a whole new level of road planning to the game :D
