It might have made sense to clean it and re-apply grease, before it was closed up. There might be sand mixed with the grease, and it could make the gears wear.

If 2 motors are exactly same size and same 12000 RPM but one is 12V and another is 24V, what component is making the power output difference?

From car specification, the 12V model car have 12V 35W motor and the same car but the 24V model have 24W 200W motor.
But the physics say that you can't fit 6 times more power inside the same case just because of double voltage. So in reality a 24V 200W motor which is using a 24V 7Ah battery can't be 6 times more powerful than a 12V 35W which is using a 12V 14Ah battery.
So all the power trick is done by the gearbox. And the final torque of 24V motor can be max. 2 times bigger than the 12V motor.
No, You are Right. But when you upgrade motor with 12 to 24 v then there is having Voltage Differences and Voltage Doubled Needed, but when you press button for run car then both gearbox work separately. use both motor and gearbox same for same result.
