- I'm just showing you a few different hip stretches that I like to do when my hips are feeling pretty tight, or to just bring some movement to my lower body. This is a veryyyy quick video, feel free to follow along or enjoy watching ☺️ I suggest holding these poses for 3-5 breaths each when practicing & remember to listen to your body, some of these take a lot of time and consistency to achieve the full expression. Haven't done these hip stretches before....my hips feel welded together sometimes...I've tried 90/90 stretch, but that low lunge is a new stretch gotta try. Good stretch session!

In a world where most people have a job sitting behind a desk or standing in one spot for hours on end, these stretches are very important....plus you have to limber up every morning during the zombie apocalypse.
I know what you mean, but we live in a world most people cant afford a desk nor they have the luxury to stand on one spot most of the time.

Met an instructor at my gym. She invites me to my first Yoga class this weekend. This after years of rigorous weights. I want to be able to scratch my own back... Thank you for the motivation.
You got this!!! I’m curious what type of yoga class she’s taking you to! Either way go with no expectations for yourself and the class and have fun with it. It will be so beneficial since you lift weights!
Yin yoga candlelight I believe. I just want to loosen up. Muscle can really tighten the body and I def need it. Great energy... i was considering it and the universe drew me to this class with a chance conversation. Good out good back in.
Oh yeah that will be great! Yin is all about going deeper into those muscle tissues and creating more space / flexibility. If you can, I would workout right before hand!! That way you’re warmed up for some stretching. Just a suggestion :) have a good time!!

Can this be Ashtanga Yoga moves or what branch of Yoga? Great content. Keep it up.
Ashtanga is more structured and consists of the same poses/sequence every class, while Vinyasa is similar but not as structured and more 'free' which is the style I practice. There are sooo many styles of yoga as I'm sure you're aware too! Since this isn't a full class and doesn't consist of the basic vinyasa/ashtanga poses and focuses more on stretching I wouldn't put this video in a specific category tbh! 🙏🏼
