Bro your a beast!! It was the fuse under the hood. Lil 15 volt fuse. Thanks brother. The fuse box in the car had a spare 15 volt fuse so I didn't have to buy one.

I’m in the same situation; tested fuses and now will check harness and radio. Would have been helpful to see temporary hook up for powering radio on test bench. Battery and what wiring from it to radio using electric clips or what probes?

Use ur red and yellow on positive and black on ground
ALWAYS remove the minus/negative on the battery when doing ANYTHING electrical on a car.

What if it’s problem 2 with the accessory wire not getting power when you turn the key? I am installing a new radio and my old one will turn on fine with the one harness but the new one won’t with the aftermarket harness
Ok so question I have a volts wagon Jetta GTI 2007 and it has apple car play so if I connect my phone to charge it in one hour f the cigarette outlets it turns off the apple car play completely I have changed the fuses on the inside the car fuse box and it won’t turn on would I have to change the outside ones too? It also takes months to turn back on
In my 08 enclave CXL my radio works but you can't turn it off with the power button and all the pre set buttons on passenger side of power button do not work and none of the lights light up on the radio pre sets anymore hope that explains it well and thank you.
I am trying to install after market audio system in my Renault fluence, but firstly there is no power in my existing radio , so I tried checking voltage and found that there is no accessories voltage, but constant voltage and ground is good. And also found that accessories voltage in AC, mobile Charger are good ,I'm just wondering if I can join a wire from mobile Charger accessories voltage wire to my new audio system.(I tried and it works,but not really sure....)?

CD I had in there got stuck in there because it had no power but once I took the facelift off and put it back on it doesn't even have CD mode anymore but it has a CD player. And CD player is one of the modes but now it doesn't even have that mode on there anymore. I'm telling you it's an equipment issue. Because if the stereo has a CD player but doesn't have CD as one of its modes when it did before and all the buttons flip out and the lights flip out every time I push a button and sometimes even has no power it sounds to me like it's just bad equipment. If it was a bad fuse then it wouldn't have power it has power. But it flips out. It looks fine with the remote. Real fine what the remote. Issues with the car stereo at all while using the remote. When I push the buttons on the facelift, the screen dims and the buttons automatically start doing random things it doesn't actually supposed to do. And sometimes it even has no power could be a bad fuse or bad wiring but it works fine with the remote so therefore it's not either it's just bad equipment.

I have a Kenwood. It dims by itself when I pushed the radio presets and radio flips out. Never did that til just now. And sometimes the radio has no power. I take the facelift off and put it back on and it works fine. But then after while, it'll do it again. Want to hit the fast forward button or rewind button to scan through the stations it automatically programs the stations preset instead of actual fast forwarding. It's not a wiring or a fuse I just think it's bad equipment. Kenwood stereo are trash.

My fuse is good. When the radio won’t turn on- I pull the fuse and the put it back in and the radio works for a while. Then stops on a later random day. Rinse, repeat. Boss bv9364b. Any ideas?
Similar issues kinda, my radio will work for a couple days then go off for a couple days. There will be some weeks when it works during a car ride then cut out randomly and back on a hour later

@@saf1n47k it was indeed a wiring issue which was causing my radio unit to short out and back on here and there had to have someone rewire it correctly
My stereo system (stock in my 2012 Tacoma) only works in the morning when it’s cool out. Later in the day if the car has sat in the heat for a while once the car is turned on the stereo won’t work. However, even when it isn’t working my phone Bluetooth is still connected to it saying that there is music playing, but nothing comes out of the speakers and the stereo display is blank like it is turned off. I assume this isn’t a fuse because it works fine in the mornings. Could this be a wiring issue or is my stereo receiver simply going bad and needs to be replaced? Any help is greatly appreciated!
I’ve found that by switching the 20A fuse every couple days, the radio and backup camera keeps working; however, I lose my preset radio stations
Sounds like a short or bad radio. Recommend a replacement.
Pretty sure my issue is the harness from the company that I bought mine from, already got a replacement from them but still not working lol time to send my car to my builder so he can hopefully figure it oit

connect the radio's yellow and red wire to the positive post of a battery, and black to ground. No video needed.
My car radio and power outlet not working. Under the dashboard there is a fuse box. I check every fuse with a test pen. Found one fuse not lit up, that is the Power Outlet. I check the fuse, look good (not blown). Went and replace the fuse anyway but still nothing.

So I have a 89 Chevy and the truck all ready has a after market radio single din works fine but when I try to install my doble din KENWOOD radios I didn’t turn on ? What Can it be the issue? I just don’t get it does it have to do because the other one is single din and the new one is doble?
Bad radio, bad wiring, bad connections; could be a combination of those.
@@ProvoBeastAudio the single din radio works and the doble din is brand new I had it in my 2001 Chevy and it work before I took it out so now I really don’t know what is it might have to take it to a shop and I’m hoping I don’t get rip off
I don’t even have to turn the switch on. I just plug the harness into the radio and the fuse in the back of the radio blows. What’s going on?
I connected a speaker wire to my voice amp and it sparked and the radio turned off and so did my truck alarm system when I disconnect the battery and connect it back I can see the alarm turn on but the. It goes off again , and radio won’t turn on at all

My friend helped me connect my dual tech apple play radio in my 1999 Honda CRV and put them to the correct wires. He didn’t go through the dashboard or anything, as my radio/AC trim is loose and falls off. My old radio worked just fine! I don’t really understand. Help?
It would be a wiring issue. Hard to help through a youtube comment, i'd take it to your local audio shop.
I have a 2010 ford focus and a 2014 mustang. On both cars when I installed aftermarket radios I wouldn't get power to them through the harness. After checking all fuses and all these things i had to splice wires and run straight from the fuse box. Defeats the purpose of "plug and play" type harness if they never work.
Sounds like you have the wrong data harnesses.
In my situation. My radio have power but i have to turn on Manually and dont save the redio station. Wire is yellow n yellow n red n red. I do do othe othere way yellow n red red n yellow. And the problem continue. Have any idea what is the problem? Thanks
Using a multi meter will tell you exactly how to wire it. You can pick one up for a few bucks at your local hardware store.

May be the wiring harness adapter / smart harness not communicating with the canbus of the vehicle. Lots of variables there, depends on the year, make, model, and trim of the vehicle.
I tried putting a cheap radio in my car just to have one since the original was broken I pulled all my fuses even changed the radio fuse and yet it still doesn’t work they say I blew a fuse but I don’t see anything wrong with any fuses

Sounds like failing audio equipment if it is only producing audio at certain temperatures.

Sounds like a radio going bad as long as your wiring is good. A short in your wiring could also cause power cycling.
my issue is that it wont work at all unless i pull the fuse from under the hood and then put it back. i have been lost for months on this. fuse never blows or anything and radio works perfect
Sounds like a failure within the radio itself if it requires you to do a power cycle to turn it back on.

Having this same issue with 2 brand new radios in 2 different cars. Pull the fuse and the radio works fine for about a week or so, then no power until I pull the fuse again. What is going on??
@@justj8934 When you pull the fuse, generally you are power cycling the radio. Sounds like a radio malfunction to me.
Okay so maybe y'all can help me on this, but ....here's the situation.

Originally equipped with factory pioneer head unit. Head unit has a lot of various inputs on the back.
My factory unit failed. I want to replace with aftermarket unit.
I went to do that and nothing would work or turn on.
Car toys 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 they told me that I specifically need a Maestro iDatalink harness for any stereo to work in my car. Do keep in mind that I just called and was not there in person for them to see my car.
Now asides from trouble shooting with a meter or running ACC with a fuse tap... What am I supposed to do?
So I called crutchfield.
The nice cool lady at crutchfield helped me realize that the wiring harness I had bought from Walmart and O'Reilly's does not match the product number for the wiring harness that crutchfield provides me.
I have now ordered a new head unit from crutchfield along with the dash kit harnesses and my car data sheet
I'm so worried man.
Please if someone could just tell me if I need the iDatalink harness if I am not trying to retauin any factory feautures???

If you used a multimeter as shown and didn't get 12v at the wiring harness on the proper power wire(s) and you're sure the fuses are testing good, then it's likely a wiring problem somewhere between the wiring harness, potentially all the way back to the battery. There are most likely several connection points along the way that could be lose or there could be a short somewhere in that circuit. If there has been recent work done to the car, that'd be a good place to start. Also, assuming you were testing for 12v at the wiring harness that feeds in the back (or side) of the radio, did you have a good ground point for the black probe on your multimeter and was the key turned to Accessory or Run? Hope the questions aren't too condescending, it's just hard to know what someone's already tried specifically over CZcams comments.

Sounds like the fm tuner is going out. May be time to replace the radio!
I have a new radio and my old one works but my new one doesn't
I hope someone see this.... So the only way i get my 7din radio to work, is i have to connect the ignition wire to the 12v but when its done like that even when the vehicle is off there is power in the radio. When its connect correctly the radio wont come on at all.

Sounds like a short somewhere in the wiring, or the radio is going bad.
If I use mine for a long day, it will quit. When I park iin the garage overnight, it resets itself
