  • Today on the Matt Walsh Show, schools have become far more violent, unruly, and chaotic over the past decade. But the system has found ways to cook the stats and hide how bad it's actually gotten. We will expose that plot today. Also, Biden and Trump will debate; except, with all kinds of rules put in place to protect our senile president from embarrassing himself. And a video goes viral of a woman bragging about all of the household chores she refuses to do. Many women are cheering her on.

Mr. Walsh, our school system was old school and I can't remember anyone ever getting suspended from school. Corporal punishment in the classroom in front of our peers kept things from ever getting to the suspension stage. Our parents also told our teachers that whatever we got at school would be doubled at home. We weren't so afraid of our teachers, but we were terrified of what our parents would do. This also worked out well for not having any encounters with the police.

39:23 I’m gonna take a wild guess that this child was a victim of restorative justice. Restorative justice doesn’t just mean not issuing consequences . One of the messed of aspects of restorative justice policy is that the victim is forced to speak to his bully and they’re made to open up about their “traumas”. At the end of the struggle session, the victim is forced to accept the bully’s half-baked apology. Abigail Shrier talks about it in her new book. The bully escapes consequences and he’s emboldened because his victim was forced to “forgive” him in a humiliating public setting.

I actually don't have an issue with the general idea of your husband doing his own laundry, booking his appts, packing his suitcase, etc. He IS a grown person and can do that stuff on his own.
But like Matt said, it is the weird scorekeeping and the outward announcement of these things, giving this transactional, business-like nature to your marriage; it's the weird conscious tallying of who's doing what and the active effort to not do certain things/only do certain things and proudly announce it on social media; it's all that which makes it so odd.
And then when she said "he makes dinner, I make breakfast and lunch." I can't imagine making my marriage that much like some sort of factory operation...and the irony of it is that she seems to think this sort of arrangement makes her marriage less like work, when in reality it makes it more like a job..."this is your task, you do this at this time..." sounds more like work to me than anything else.
Sounds so miserable. And again, the irony is in the delusion she has become lost in that makes her believe this is empowering.

When I was about thirteen, one girl who was pulled from private school started attending the coop meetings. She was bent on forming cliques, belittling other girls, and attracting the attention of all the boys. After a couple of months of terror, several of our “popular” girls (our popular students were popular for all good reasons) got together and made a plan with all other students to step in when she was out of line. If she called someone ugly, another kid had to step in and tell her what he/she liked about the bullied kid and how wrong the girl was. After a few weeks, she got the picture.

My son at age 12ish was being bullied and it got to the stage where my son was scared to get on the bus so despite local council (the education authority) and the school telling me I'd face truancy charges if I kept him out of school I still took him out of school and started home schooling. I lost money because I had to cut down the hours I worked but my son was more important than the money, I had threats of legal action for over a year but MY SON IS MORE IMPORTANT. My granddaughter lives in California and is 10 years old. A boy at her school has threatened to cut her throat over 50 times. She has said how scared she is of him. I told her to have her dad show her how to defend herself and to hurt him. I don't want my granddaughter going to school where she feels threatened all the time, but I don't have that choice. Her mom went up to the school and told the school if the little boy threatens my daughter's life again that she was going to hit him and they were not going to even try to do anything because she deserves to be in a safe environment , which they aren't providing. Her dad was in the service and taught her how to defend herself and she did what she was told to do the next time she threatened her life. It worked! So my granddaughter didn't even get into trouble for hitting him first when he threatened to harm her with a knife, because they sat down and had a talk about it. 😮😳🤯 Now that is a crazy way to run an elementary school. They talk about their actions and no one gets suspended for being violent. So basically it is a free for all for students, because they talk it out and no real action is taken.

In Japan they used to have strict discipline inside the schools. As a result they had an average crime rate of 11% per capita and out of that 11% only 3% of it was violent and of that 3% it was almost all exclusively foreigners committing violent crime while on vacation in Japan. In 2009 Japan stopped the discipline in the school and now that generation has hit adulthood. Crime is now on the rise. Clearly there's a link between discipline directed at the youth and socially responsible adults in a society.

My heart hurts hearing about the 4th grader who was bullied. I was only actively bullied rather lightly for a couple years in middle school, but I was ostracized for most of my time from elementary through high school, and it was brutal. I considered doing what this kid did at several points, but I would start sobbing when I'd think of how my parents, in particular my mother, would react, and it kept me going. And again, that was mostly just ostracization. I can only imagine how much pain that kid was in, and how much pain his parents are in, how much they must be considering the 'what ifs' -- what if we'd pulled him from school, what if we'd moved far away, what if we'd told him that if he was ever considering doing something like that, we'd move heaven and earth for him, anything to keep him with us. I'm sure they would have, if they'd had any idea what he was going to do. But I don't think any parent expects their kid to do that. I think kids tend to hide just how much they're hurting because they don't want to be a burden to their parents, not understanding that to their parents, they are the absolute most important thing in the world. I don't even have kids yet, but I can think of few things more tragic in the entire world than this. The parents must be suffering so much.
Please, parents, even if you think there's no chance your kid would do anything like that, please tell them to come to you first and that you will do anything and everything if it ever gets that bad. Let them know that however much of a burden it might be to homeschool them or pay for private school or move, it's nothing compared to the burden of losing them. As I said, kids often hide their pain. Please don't take anything for granted.
