"Most satisfying render"
Wrens first idea is a smoking, decapitated head with a distressed look.
XDD
Would have been dope if he rendered himself doing a kickflip over it to clear the smoke.
It's not just any head, it's his own smoldering face, lol
i want a documentary on what wren's deal is! cos this is way too relatable to not be giving it some creative attention.
He must've thought it was "Most terrifying Wrender". Easy to get mixed up.
Everyone missed a box on the checklist. Peter: Not a perfect loop. Wren: Not really satisfying. Clint: Didn't use mouth sound design. I vote they all be disqualified and you send the 3090 to me.
Underated comment
I think wren deserved the pc it was the closet thing to the challange conditions
@@danthebait I think the most important condition was to be satisfying. It was really cool though.
@@danthebait Ditto. The one requirement he missed was qualitative. Peter and Clint missed conditional requirements. There's no subjectivity to having a loop or the sound design. But someone could find Wren's gif satisfying.
Lmaooooo
Wren's render is not even close to being satisfying, it's purely terrifying
Yes, it was the opposite of satisfying
But he has the potential to make a very satisfying one
He just didn’t use it
Yes
It’s like an album cover
Peter: Cofee is important for making renders. It's not. It's just a chemical dependancy
Wren: *Chugs a bottle of tabasco sauce*
I think that was to keep him awake. Not because he was addicted.
Anybody else read that as hugs instead of chugs
@@danielsjohnson thank you, captain obvious.
i was thinking the same thing lol

"lets make something satisfying"
wren: "so imma put my chopped head on a grass and make smoke came out of my nostrils"
I don't like blowing regular cigarette smoke out of my nose, let alone horror smoke.
@@GoTeamScotch hm that's the idea, if Wren added electronic cigarette that could work as satisfying
And then he drank some Tabasco
🤣😂
Haha yeah. I dunno what happened there lol.
Peter: "I'm going emotional"
Clint: "I'm going Zen"
Wren: "I'm going full horror, bit*hes!..."
Phew, good thing you didn't use an evil swear word and offend God
@@JustLostTheGame I wouldn't dare
Nicolas RAGE why?
You could see he did a not so satisfying WRENder... haha... ha
I’ll show myself to out...
@@quantum6812I will go with you, I guess you could call it a unsmokeifying wrender.
The only thing about Peter's is that it is almost too busy. There isn’t really a clear focal point which I feel detracts from the satisfaction, but it was crazy good.
very true
Nah I disagree, that lends itself to rewatches which makes it even more satisfying. Watching a different component every time makes you appreciate it more
I think the reason you might think it’s too busy is the sounds, which are distracting. Proper sound design for it would clear up the busy issue, cause you could just selectively use sound to draw attention
Nah being too convoluted is solved by the loop. You can just keep watching and focus on a different point and follow its journey into the loop, find all the small details.
The Where's Wally of GIFs
it's better without sound. The render is really satisfying and fun to watch, the sound design makes it super busy.
@@Clarkey7163 Agreed, but for those type of "rewatch to see a different part work", you need each part to be active for more time than the watcher has to wait for the loop to restart; or have another part start right after so they can look at that.
I love the reality show mocking they do lmao
SuperWiiBros08 lol same
Hi wiibro
Hi!!!
Yo why are you here yooooo
Lmao
Could Clint please finish his render properly so we can enjoy that incredible scene
Clint's render had the potential to be the most satisfying one. Peter's one was too busy with too many things to keep track of. It would've been much better if the camera followed the piece of bread as food was added to it.
Clint was the best one for me. Very satisfing
PLEASE CLINT
I was thinking the same
@@el_senor_xan The rock collision triggered my OCD.
Peter: Skips the loop rule (That he added).
Wren: Skips the satisfaction criteria (which IS the win condition).
Clint: Skips the sound rule (...that he added).
Just a fair and balanced competition.
Wren added the sound condition.
Miguel Parra I think he meant Clint accepted it into the challenge.
Clint also had clipping, he would've won outright even with bad quality in my eyes if he didn't clip those rocks
But wren's submission didn't seem satisfactory at all which is just as important as the other factors.
I think deserved the nod because it wouldn't have been all that difficult to make his loop. Just have all the food/drink get consumed, the dishes cleaned, all while the box closes in the background, and then reposition the camera to the beginning. Obviously easier said than done, but its like you could tell he was heading in the right direction. He just needed a bit more time.
Normal people: drink coffee
Gamers: drink Gfuel
Wren: drinks hot sauce

Peter and Clint: “Let’s make something relaxing and satisfying.”
Wren: “I’m gonna make some nightmare fuel.”
i feel like he got really close to having something relaxing, but instead of a calming breath cycle... he's just made himself a lawn smoke machine
@@j377yb33n i think if the smoke forms wren's head, and some suctions think recycle the smoke to form a new wren's head would be very relexing
@@nigelyam38 or while he breathes out it comes from his head, the smoke stays on the ground. when he breathes in, it gets blown away by the breeze
Wren: We're burnt out on doing visual effects
Also Wren: let's do some visual effects
but _recreational_
I keep reading comments that Peter's was too busy to be satisfying. IMO the elaborate nature of it WAS what made it satisfying -- the way it just unfolds into this perfectly efficient factory, all these components fluidly carrying out different tasks simultaneously, delivering each food item to the plate/tray in perfect succession. Very satisfying.
idk I guess it's satisfying to those who are into that, but I suck at focusing and it's too busy for my eyes to just focus on one thing. Something elaborate can look smooth and pleasing if there's still a proper focal point that draws all of the business to one area imo
@@thepeculiardragon7475 Just like how I get stressed out at ambient noise.
It depends on the person.
Not to busy in my opinion, more to see on re-viewing, plus I loved his sound design it was hilarious, loved it so much.
Yeah. Wonder if there is a stand-alone version of it somewhere
I literally did an undergraduate seminar/thesis on what makes things oddly satisfying to the human brain based on Darwinism and human evolution. Basically my theory is exactly that it replicates ASMR visually. However, you also need to account for shine (which tells your brain that it is safe - ie. shiny foods are good to eat because theres no rot) and the perfect fit (seeing something fit perfectly into another thing - meaning that it is meant to be there and something isnt out of place)! Obvi theres more to the theory but these are awesome!
@@sethen132 it does sound a bit shallow for a thesis, post your paper OP!
@@nl6526 @Impío sadly its not published as it was an undergraduate seminar rather than an official thesis project. And since there is little research in the field of "oddly satisfying" visual phenomenon, and I wasn't permitted to experiment, I had to propose my theory as it relates to human evolution. So it had to connect to the human survival drive, familial drive, legacy drive and leisure drive. (ie. watching pimple popping videos is akin to parental grooming and pair bonding through visual stimuli)
"fit perfectly into another thing, meaning that it is meant to be there"
Thats my hole!
Sorry, only thing i could think of.
That seems very interesting! Would there be a way for me or anyone else interested in reading it to do so?
the shiny one is interesting, i find it gives a fake, waxed impressions and puts me off. but i guess its not a case of one size fits all (95% of ASMR stuff also makes me feel physically uncomfortable so theres that)
Peter is an absolute genius, I hope he's back to being a regular here
yeah he is back, he is done with uni and they have offered him a permanent role. they spoke about it in corridor cast.
@@ToxicSaint006 that is awesome news
I was waiting for a crazy Wren making a new Peter🤣
“It’s always about analyzing how much you want to die per project” describes my entire college experience
😭😭😭 truer words have never been spoken
Wren doesn’t take coffee when he’s tired, he just chugs Tabasco. A true warrior. A real man’s man.
Agreed Peter won that in a landslide.
If Clint had followed the sound rules and gotten a better render, he probably would have won it.
Wren... Yeah, you know you made nightmare fuel.
How was that winning by a landslide. Clint had the sound effect, he was just joking. He lost because it was too loud. However for us viewers, we can say that the sounds were almost perfect. Honestly a lot of thought clint would win
@@richardlee8899 the noisiness i feel like is referring to the quality of the render where it feels buzzy and static-y
but im not an expert so i stilldk
@@Vekcrazah You’d be right. Honestly if Clint had rendered it with more detail I’d have to give it to him. All he was missing were little things like the rock clipping, the sound effects, and the clarity of the render, but imo the loop and the concept were flawless
SPOILER ALERT
For me Clints was just boring
Might have to try that "main line some hot sauce to stay awake while editing at 3 am" trick🤔
ikr honestly genius
Coke works well too
I didn't expect to see you here! Wtf
It works wonders. When I had 2 kitchen jobs I used to put 5 or 6 drops of ghost pepper sauce in a shot of espresso to keep going
There's a reason Tabasco is in MREs and it's not because it's everyone's favorite. They even put it in meals it has no business being near. A shot of Tabasco at 3:00AM is a great way to wake yourself up.
The second this started I knew Wren was just gonna make something he thought was cool and forego the satisfying part. I was not disappointed.

He should just reversed it in the end to loop it
Same! ... and each time I watched it, I literally saw something I had missed the previous times. Mind-blown. Peter = ROCK-STAR!
It was rly good but not that satysfying.
Sway22 yeah I know what you mean but I really love it anyway :)
@@samhermans I agree.
The personalities made this for me. I had never known about Peter prior to this video and his render really shined in terms of originality and execution. I knew about Wren and Clint from prior Stuntmen and Node videos and the path they chose was, honestly, pretty fitting from what I had seen. Such cool products from each artist!
It makes me smile when Wren appreciated Peter by saying "I am honestly incredibly impressed Peter. You have come along way". :)
When you do these render competitions, you should do it in a way that whoever watches and judges doesn’t know who it is and has to guess. In fact you could do a whole episode where you each try to determine who made what and do a little bit of a bluffing game at the same time....so kinda like Balderdash the board game...and whoever has the most correct guesses wins a prize.
yeee

@SocloseToToast How are you here? Aren't you busy in reacting?
Peter has had one of the greatest story arc in the CCU
How to make a "satisfying" gif:
1. Create (emotional) tension for your animal brain("Oh no, the little ball isn't going to roll down the slide!")
2. Resolve tension ("Whew, JUST made it")
3. Loop

Thanks cause the Bruhs in this video ain't that satisfying to watch nor listen to.
The shot of tobasco was the most Wren thing I've ever seen
I'm kinda wanting to try that for a wake up boost
Let's be honest, Peter has always been on another level. Kid is gifted.
These guys can do pretty good stuff on a technical level, but from satisfaction or art perspective they all are pretty weak. In Peter's video there's just too much going on at the same time, you don't know what to look at and that lack of focus is not satisfying. Also fish eye lens make it kinda tacky looking. And all the noises at the same time just sounds like nonsense. It would look much better if everything was happening one thing after another, camera following the events.
@@mumblefluff Yea to be honest I thought it wasn't satisfying at all. Looked cool but I have watched it like 10 times and still can't tell all the things that are going on.

Prosthetics and orthotics student here! We actually use photogrammetry to get scans of babies’ heads for cranial orthotics, using a couple AR patches and a camera that looks kind of like a grocery store barcode reader. The model then gets imported to your 3D modeling program of choice, you build the orthotic around the cranial model, then you 3d print or CNC it depending on the amenities your clinic’s workshop has.
Can we see the perfect breakfast with actual sound effects. I feel like that would be amazing

To me the most satisfying thing was Sam's laugh at the end. That was lovely.
I feel like Wren just forgot what he was doing when he sat down to start...
Yeah he was just so stoked on doing a smoke sim
When they were saying who the winner was after the pause, I wish they said ""Its us". There would be some confusion and they would go to a computer to show a render that they made together. This render who just blow the other 3 out of the water.
The only things that makes me happy about this episode is that Peter uses Blender instead of paid 3d modelling softwares. Power to open source softwares.

Peter nailed it, the "loop" isn't the best but he got the aesthetic right and every time you watch there's something different to see and follow until it reaches it's final state, so it's pretty satisfying.
Clint's piece was insane, I only wish we could see a full resolution version of his render, maybe use the new PC to render it faster, it would look so good.
Wren's one was also great, it lacked the satisfying aspect but it was really fun.
Yeah it took me the second viewing to notice the knife switching back and forward for chopping the tomato and the third viewing to notice the coffee filter and grounds going in. Peter's was awesome, Wrens could have been better, but I think he was just wanting to try out something he hadn't done before and wasn't really bothered about the competition and Clint needed a day or two more for it to be fully realised.
All 3 were good, but Peter managed the time crunch better.

This definitely needs a follow up video showing everyone's project completed and fully realized
Wren is like a crazy scientist who is also a genius
