    GM didn't stretch the XT5 to make this. They took the GMC Acadia platform and dressed it up as a Cadillac.

    I bought an Aviator a couple of months ago. The Lincoln has more power, more luxury, more everything than the Caddy for the same money. My 2 cents.

    They lost me (and everyone else) at 3.6L V6 transverse engine LOL

    A very sweaty review.
    What maniac would pay 70k plus for these tiny tech heavy nightmares? I'll stick with my 05 Escalade with 200k miles. I can afford the parts to keep it going. The entire new car market is a scam to financially break people.

    Anyone who buys this over a MDX, GV80 or XC90 probably never tried anything else.

      The gv80 and the Volvo don't even make the list the mdx is to expensive and don't like the way it drives better off with a minivan .

    Car platform? Which car? Maybe you meant a unibody platform?

  • @Carlo-_

    Agree 100%. Great looking and perfectly sized. But mediocre interior and weak transverse mounted drivetrain kill it.

    He's comparing the fully loaded XT6 to a base Escalade at the end when he says "for just a few thousand dollars more you can drive an Escalade." That barebones Escalade would be missing a lot of features on the xt6. You likely need a premium luxury escalade (definitely not a platinum) to match feature for feature...so still a $30k gap.

    Experience wise it summons the Minivan with 4 conventional doors... Front transverse engine three row seats.
    Handsome looking Minivan though.

    This is great as far as crossovers go (i.e. SUV on a car chassis) but depressing that cars and trucks (also proper SUVs) are generally disappearing in favor of crossovers. I wish there were as many car options as there were crossovers for us folks that actually like cars. Even with kids I'm looking at wagons, not crossovers.
    Waiting for a second hand Mercedes E 450 wagon to come within my price range. Rear facing third row too!

    I'm a huge GM fan but they dropped the ball on this. Exterior is fine, interior has excellent material but they really need to update this sucker with a smaller curved oled like the escalades and it'd be golden

      I’d like if they made a 70sified version, like the bronco

    • @Trussme96
      @Trussme96 Před 3 lety

      I think the problem with it is that they're asking Mercedes and BMW money for a Chevy Traverse with a different dashboard and badge. When you compare it to things like the GV80 and Aviator, they make it look as cheap as it should be.

      @@4406bbldb Domestic cars haven't been Domestically built since the 80s. Brand loyalty is the exact crutch that GM relies on to trick people into buying rebadged Chevy Traverses for Mercedes GLE money.

    Suggestion: Add a supercharger to the 3.6 and tune the suspension. Then it will be perfect for autocross and drifting.

    Yeah...... cause Cadillac has usually changed a lot of things about already designed platforms to change it a different drive train and etc... but yeah.... they didnt because they had to go fast.... uh huh... sure, thats the reason....

    Cadillac SUV line up is just disappointing. Outside and in. Just not good. They had better design in the 2019 CT6.
    It looks like there going backwards.
    This suv looks like it's from 2010. There's plan boring box-e lines. No thought in design at all.

  • @ConstantineJoseph
    @ConstantineJoseph Před 3 lety

    Everything is fine but you are pricing the car at luxury segment level and competing against the Germans, the Brits and Italians. That front console design and infotainment. It looks Buick-esque and certainly not near the luxury segment in terms of finesse and interior aesthetics other Brands provide.
    A missed opportunity really
