This new MDX might become the 3-row luxury SUV king and Acura has done a splendid and commendable effort in stepping up game with their newest SUV; but lets see what will Lexus bring with their new upcoming Lexus RX-350. Plus, the Genesis GV-80 will continue to be a formidable contender. A comparo between the 3 should be awesome.

Despite your proclamation to remain unbiased it showed through nonetheless. The Acura is slightly ahead of the Cadillac in some features not far superior. For example, it had the tacked on iPad style infotainment display, whereas the one in the Cadillac was much better integrated. The Acura was also missing a boatload of features that were available on the Cadillac. I also prefer light interiors. Stepping into the Acura is like stepping into a black hole -- especially the 3rd row. Finally, removing part of the car without any place to store them is anything but advanced.

The buyers looking at the Acura MDX are more likely comparing to the GV80 vs the Cadillac. Can you do some comparisons to the Genesis when you do your driving review of the MDX. Which is more luxury, sport, handling and drive? I'm sure the V6turbo would out match the basic V6 of the MDX but then Acura has Type S coming soon. For me test drove the 2020 RDX A spec and advanced and came away wanting a bit more... A spec was just an "all show" package with the black trim and cooler wheels along with aluminum interior bits. The Advanced didn't look as "cool" but had all the niceties (HUD, Adjustable dampers, spare tire, kick to open tailgate, etc..). I really am excited to see what Acura does with the RDX type S if they can combine the features of the Advance + cool looking Aspec + a better engine performance. It might be a real winner depending on the price point. I also found the dark blue color (not a spec super man) to be very nice but it needs a mocha/brown leather option instead of the standard gray.
