      I just bought a 2020 Telluride SX... The Telluride is awesome! The technology is unbelievable. Especially the cruise control. I traded in my 2010 Loaded Cadillac Escalade! The lane keep assist is almost to good to be true! If you can test drive a SX model and see for yourself! And as far as the foot liftgate deal there's an option you can set that if the key fob is within a couple of feet of the tailgate it will automatically open hands free...

      Where do I start? The Kia Acess which allows you to start your Telluride from your phone gives you an advantage over key fob remote starts because by the time the key fob users are in range to start their vehicle you're Telluride is already warmed up and ready to go. And if you kids or someone borrows your SUV the system has a vehicle tracker to show you real time movement of your Telluride. Which is also good if you go to a parking lot and forget where you park. The HD Steaming Traffic also comes in handy as well. Another thing I found out accidentally was if you're running the heater in the Telluride while driving and roll all four windows down the heat automatically cuts off. The lane assist is pretty sweet but sometimes its a little aggressive especially when its raining and you're trying to avoid the big puddles in the road. Its has great speed. The Harmon Kardon (Samsung) sounds awesome! Once you adjust the equalizer to your liking (I like extra bass). And the rear moonroof makes everyone in the rear seats smile when they first see it. Its definitely a head turner. The LED headlights are excellent especially when the fog lights are on. I can see well at night on these dark Georgia roads. The surround cameras are cool as well I find myself using it a lot more than expected. I have the Ebony Black Telluride with the Butterscotch interior so I put a 5% tint on the rear and 20% tint on the front. Overall I'm very happy with my Telluride SX. Kia showed up and Showed out with the Telluride!

    • @HiPlains1
      @HiPlains1 Před 5 lety

      @@moneyparhar That's a miss perception. BMW X3 is their big seller and that is very reliable now. Yes a few years back there was a timing chain issue and a few other annoyances but they are bullet proof now. I Own a X3 and its a fantastic car with zero issues. I won't argue that the Telluride is a better value but not a better car. Mainly because the BMW still goes with the RWD as the primary driving wheels along with the Xdrive. The bi turbo B58 6 and bi turbo 2.0 matched to the superior ZF 8 speed are better performers as well as considerably more efficient. But X3/X5 won't offer the third row. For that you have to go with the X7 which is pricey. I'll admit the BMW cost more but money aside, its still the better SSUV. But one thing I notice is how similar the Kia is to the BMW. Obviously they harvested some German engineers. It not a accident that the interior and center stack/gauge cluster is very BMW like. The Telluride is the most German like SUV that is not German of any OEM that I can think of. And probably why its a hotcake right now. Its a German copy but don't stroke yourself in thinking its a better performer. Its not. Not even remotely so. But when comparing it to the anemic XT6 the Kia destroys it. GM is bottom of the barrel IMO.

    • @mybro727
      @mybro727 Před 5 lety +1

      HiPlains1 that’s funny because GM out performs BMW and is even outselling them in several segments. They’ve literally taken their slogan from underneath them and Cadillac has become the “ultimate driving machine”. So how can something that looks better, handles better and is more reliable be the bottom of the barrel? That doesn’t even make sense. The KIA doesn’t destroy anything, it’s a plastic econobox that wants to be a luxury vehicle but is actually only the cheap alternative. Cadillac is quality and refinement.

    • @HiPlains1
      @HiPlains1 Před 5 lety

      @@mybro727 XT6 is a POS. FWD based/transverse mounted V6 motor that is fitted all the way to front bumper. Sure you can add AWD but its no match for the RWD/Xdrive on the bimmer. And Cad has nothing that can stand up to the ZF 8 speed and inline 3.0 bi turbo inline B57 BMW motor. The 8 inch center stack is a joke. XT5 is now in fifth place in the segment. look it up.. grossly outdated now. And the XT4 is not even worth looking at. The XT6 is a joke at this price point. All makes have newer refreshed models and GM still using crappy center stacks and cheaper with crap analog gauges with FWD/transverse mounted crappy setups which is a insult for a so called premium SUV. Even Ford updated their center stack/gauges and returned the Explorer to RWD with AWD options. XT6 is a chevy with heavy lipstick. Again, look at XT5 sales. They are in a slump. Maybe next years refresh might help but nothing special here.

Cadillac, as well as Ford, should be worried about the new vehicles from KIA and Hyundai. The Telluride and Palisade will steal customers away from the Expedition and Escalade market, they better figure out how to deal with that quickly or they’ll lose a lot of market share.

The Cadillac for the $$s does not compete with the Telluride and all its features at 15-20k more for far less substance whether you want to admit that or not. ...once you and your crew got into the exec black Caddy and your 6th passenger had to get into the back you might also be singing a different tune.😊👍

    Have been driving Hyundai products in and off since 1981, in Korea and in the USA. Hyundai has made up their initial quality deficit and their styling is now as good as anybody’s.
    If Hyundai isn’t going to offer turbo or larger engines on these, they should make them buildable, like Dinan is for BMW. Being able to add engine mods that will deliver up to 100 more horses would be a selling point.
    Can’t wait to see what the Genesis version looks like.

Same cheap setup as in the chevy. This is way overpriced. The instrument cluster takes a real nose dive with the cheapest possible analog setup that is ridiculous at this price point. GM is going the wrong way with this. They think they will sell on brand loyalty but they have no brand loyalty anymore. Most of the older drivers went to Lexus decades ago. Mostly I talked to them as we were in the mechanics waiting room. The Caddilac will probably be better on the test drive but the Kia won't keep you in the shop. Also the depreciation on Caddilacs is ridiculous. From a cadillac owners stand point, the truth is that the transmission will have to be replaced or rebuilt way before you ever have to deal with the power plant itself. Hub assembly on all GM cars are an issue & the infotainment system is subpar compared to others. Ive owned over 5 different model caddies in my lifetime & never had to replace the engine, or do anything besides the normal maintenance routine.

It was in dealership four times for the A/C alone until finally on the third try they said they replaced the whole system. Yet a few days later the A/c stopped functioning again and I can't live without it here in Florida! @Darkivaz - AAA what world do you live in? Cadillac ages very well. their Escalade and cts is very old yet they last forever and the design still looks amazing 'til this day. Kia doesn't have a brand identity except for a tiger nose grille that they tried to make stick but no one really recognizes. They will never age as well as Cadillac even after copying Cadillac taillights on the telluride Kia don't look as classy and upscale as Cadillac higher quality 2 different levels kid

    He forgot to mention that the wood in the Telluride is fake and the Cadillac's is real. The Cadillac has the best adaptive cruise on the market that allows hands free operation. For me I would take the Cadillac mainly based on it's far better looks. Imo!

    The Telluride should be compared to a Explorer and not a Cadillac, don't no why all these car reviews are trying to make Kia and Hyundai some luxury vehicles. Sat in a Telluride the other day, it was on my list don't look as good in person inside or outside. Waiting for the Explorer ST. Seen one on back of the transport truck the last week looks much better in person, I haven't been on the inside yet.

    The Cadillac really should have based the XT6 off the CT6 rwd biased version. Offering powerful motors and similar size to the Buick Enclave. The Cadillac looks good but it unfortunately ends there especially for the demanding price. Too much hard easy to scratch interior plastics. Tight cargo era and passenger room and comfort when fully loaded. When there is just one person most vehicles will perform well but when its laden with passengers and cargo, it intended purpose, the vehicle will truly show if it was engineered well to handle the realistic purposes of the average family. GM consistently comes up short with value and quality. They seem to just want to overfill their pockets with bonuses and corporate perks 💰💰, rather then taking a little bit of that money and build upon its credibility and legacy and offer solid reliable valued packed vehicles that can compete well with the Japanese brands and most cases win. It shouldn't always be about the bottom line. ✌🏽♥️
