+youngsneaks101 Probably the following week you'll see me and my car at the Thursday night meet. The car will also be at the Visions Electronics car show May 14th at the Coquitlam location. I'll be doing an info seminar and doing some free basic tuning for people if they want.
Nice setup man! I like the stock ride height as well, but also like a lowered look
Did you see my video with the front lip add on? czcams.com/video/cJe5ibTavBA/video.html
Yeah, that video took me here haha. I liked the lowered look you achieved with the wheels and the lip. I'm gonna start saving for wheels soon.
Jay Thanks! I might have thrown my speed off a little but the car drives great and can get over speed bumps just fine.
nice wheel, good choice!
+Heriberto Gomez Thank you! I think it gives the car a classy look.
yes it does, I like it
sq setup for the z would be great.great video as always
+Ross Sun You're in luck because when I do the sound system for my car (which is soon) I'll be running an Alpine head unit, with an Alpine PDX V9 5 channel amp with Hertz speakers and a JL TW12 thin sub.
I finished the system! Well function wise. Check it out if you haven't seen it! czcams.com/video/mVqQ-1QhoKQ/video.html
hey ant. do you have a link where you purchased these wheels and also does the offset in your description apply to the tire or wheel size?
Offset is for the wheel. I purchased my wheels and tires from a local tire shop.
Anthony How did you do with the tpms sensor on the tires? Did you transfer them from the OEM wheels?
RickySticky87 Ummm the light just stays on, on my dash lol
Are you familiar with Swift Spec-R springs? I know you're not into the "stanced" look, and thank god for that- but I just picked up a set along with some Bilstein B8 struts/shocks and have been on cloud nine. Like you, I'm all about practicality and the Z's geometry is great from the factory and the linear spring with fairly high rates make for really predictable feel. That being said, a set of well engineered springs with matching dampers does wonders. If you do any research you'll find the consensus is that it's even more hunkered down when driving aggressively, and does a better job of absorbing impact and road undulations. The drop is 1.2"F, and 1"R so it's not aggressive enough that you'll find yourself pulling onto inclines at an angle (though we kinda do this anyway, amitite? and you retain the ability to align the car within OEM specs. Beautiful wheels and Z, now get rid of that wheel gap :-P
+Taylor Ashworth How much of a drop is it? I wouldn't mind a revised spring rate, I do plan to run Bilsteins next year (all of my vehicles have had them). I actually like the "raked" look from all my muscle car influence. I can't really drop the front any more with this wheel and tire combo, I barely have a 2 finger gap up front. Out back it's almost 3. I'm just finishing up bracing up the chassis a little. If there was such thing as a .5" drop I'd consider it.
+AnthonyJ350 The Swift springs are 1.2" in the front and 1" in the rear. I originally thought that was going to be too low and was leaning toward Hotchkis springs (Linear, 9/16"F, 3/4"R) but decided to pull the trigger on the Swifts after reading all of the reviews. I have bout a finger gap up front, and two fingers in the rear. The setup looks really aggressive with a mild rake. It makes the rear gap look just enough to be useful for "Business purposes" ;). I haven't had any issues with the ride, clearance, potholes, etc. I haven't had to adjust my driving style at all- other than more aggressive when suitable. Also, it changes the driving perspective which I really like, you feel more flat sitting in the car and gives the feeling of a go-cart. Everything is a lot more controllable. Look into them for sure!
Taylor Ashworth Once I get the new brace underneath the car I'll see how much it hangs down and make a decision from there.
Hows it drive with the hub rings any vibration ??
None at all. The rings just help you center it more when installing the wheels. The lugs are still tapered and really help make sure everything is aligned and seated.
How did you lower the rear of the vehicle?
Here's how I did it czcams.com/video/f6SLH-jUCTA/video.html
What are the details for this set up what offset did you do front and rear?
joe Doe Check the description
What size hub rings did you use
I don't remember the specs, it came with the wheels from Vossen.
Hey Anthony how wide are your tires?
Specs are in the video description.
What's the wheel width of front and back?
Front is 8.5" and rear is 10"
@@AnthonyJ350 are those 275/40 or 35’s in the back?
Whatever it is it’s perfect
@@stopher1971 It's a 275 on a 40 series. I'm considering 285 on a 35 series on the next set to help protect the wheel more.
What’s the wheel size ??
19"
What about the width of the wheel ?
@@Dominic-z1y You should watch the video, I explain it all in there.
Found it thanks 🙏🏽
@@Dominic-z1y You're welcome
