My list are as follows
1. Exhaust
2. Intake
3. Tires
4. ECU Tune (because while OEM timing self adjusts for different climates and altitude, it is not ideal for one region. one reason why premium is 93 vs 91 in different places. AZ altitude & air density is not same as FL etc)
5. Driver should Lose weight/diet
Hahaha love number 5
yeah tune is kinda pricy tho, but I'm sure if two 350Z ship from japan straight to this hot ass humid houston vs somewhere in AZ and their engine is torn down after 150k miles they will definitely be different within. I've researched that octane stuff before. fuel does not burn that well in thinner air, so 91 octane will kinda act like 93 that is in somewhere with thicker air. there should still be power loss tho I'd say it's engineering researched backed 90% but still 10% politics they charging us bro. I hate politicians Lol
diet? Lol wtf what if I'm already 6'0 and 175LBS?
Tune is sooo worth it when you've finished your mods. I have a video showing making power and I was running into detonation at 3K RPM with just bolt-ons for mods. I run Shell 91 in my car. czcams.com/video/eC1-hE3PBf0/video.html
Can indeed saves oil speed steering
I've learned so much about the Z through your channel bro! It's actually another reason as to why I'm going to be purchasing one soon, I can find information on almost anything through your channel. And you also reply to almost everyone so I know where to head if I had a question. Keep up the solid work man!
Thanks man, really appreciate comments like this. Helps keep up the motivation to make these videos for you guys.
My list for my Z33 Vq35de
1. Invidia - N1 with a ARK test pipes & J2 headers full exhaust
2. Action Clutch Stage 3
3. Tomei Poncam Camshafts
4. Weapon-R - Secret Weapon Air Intake
5. Kinetix Racing Velocity
Keep it bro nice video!
Nice list, definitely a power list.
Tires are very important! I just crashed my Z cause I have crappy tires. Good tires is a must have on these cars
Dave Dursley That sucks. But thanks for reinforcing how important tires are. Can the car he fixed?
Dont blame the tires
I had a total loss on my 06 lost control on the highway running tires that were well almost bald but still it’s a bitch
@@slicknslidin4124 I owned my z for 16 years think I know how to drive it lol
and yes of courses I fixed it I will never give up my Z!!
Dont ever go cheap on things that lift you from the ground shoes, mattress, tires
my first 5 were
1. tyres
2. extended tie rods/ steering rack spacers (not just for doing skids, the extra steering angle is great for daily driving as well)
3. lightweight flywheel/ new clutch
4. plenum spacer
5. urethane bushings
the flywheel is just personal preference/ i think some would prefer a short shifter over that in their top 5 =]
Loving these vids from you man, keep up the great quality 👍🏼
Alexander is that your FRS? I always see that thing around town
Thanks man!
Im diggin the 94+ Q45 in the background. I miss my 92 :) but i definitely love my G37 sedan, just a totally different beast.
I like the G37 a lot. Can you get the sedan with a manual transmission?
I like your list. I have mostly done upgrades as OEM parts broke or failed. 1. Rear shocks were leaking so I went with Bilsteins. 2. Bose system failed; replaced with Alpine head unit, Hybrid Audio Technologies components in the doors with Soundskins, Jl Audio 3 channel amp, and Jl Audio 10" sub in enclosure in hatch. 3. When it was time for new spark plugs I had my guys add the 5/16" copper Motordyne plenum spacer. 4. OEM exhaust rusted out so I replaced it with Fast Intentions HFC and Exhaust. 5. The stock intake hasn't failed; but I will soon replace it with a Mishimoto intake and tube in conjunction with NWP 65mm throttle body; followed by a tune from Z1. Later I will address: lighter wheels, clutch, flywheel, clutch pedal, and brake upgrade.
Nice, good job! Very thorough.
I cant wait to be able to buy one of these
Yup they're great cars
My list would be
1. Exhaust
2. Headers
3. Intake
4. Coilovers
5. Sway bars
That's my top 5 if I ever had a z
That's a good list
AnthonyJ350 yeah a little power and improve handling would make the z a lot more fun to drive, plus once you get an exhaust on a car it's hard to keep the radio on when the vq makes such amazing sounds
Ya but when you're stuck in traffic or driving long distances you need tunes.
headers as #2 is an absolute waste imo if it's a normal daily driver because you'll never notice the performance advantage nor do you need the heat dissipation or smooth excavation of fancy headers. I have stillen ceramic coated headers on my Z and I haven't really benefited much.
for me, headers are #2 for a track car, and #37 for a daily Lol
hostilityy true If it's a daily I couldn't put headers on they tend to be to raspy at times. One reason I also have bought hfc for my G37 I don't want my exhaust note to get raspy
u all wanting to change the exhaust n here I am lovin it.
Thanks for watching!
Where did you get the key to open windows and start engine and open gas cap?
Colin Hyatt It's a Viper 5806V. I install it at my work Visions Electronics.
Because it has to be custom tailored to the vehicle, I highly recommend getting it installed by an experienced Installer.
What headlights do you have on your z? they look a little different than the oem. Amazing video as always!
Thank you! They're stock but have eyelids on them and Suntek's paint protection.

1. BC DS coilover
2. Good set of UHP tires + Nismo LMGT4 rims
3. Skunk2 intake plenum spacer + K&N drop in air filter
4. Final drive 3.7 + TransGo Shift kit (for auto)
5. Cooling system - Blox Racing alloy radiator + ATF cooler + engine oil cooler
Honorable mention:
- UpRev ECU reflash
- Full catback exhaust system
- Android head unit with DSP
- Viper alarm system (or hidden cutoff switch for budget)
Thanks for sharing your list!
My top 5 for my 350z would be:
1) Driving School
2) Polyurethane Bushings
3) Short-Shifter
4) Plenum Spacer
5) Exhaust
Honorable Mentions:
6) Coilovers
7) Adjustable Control Arms
8) Bigger Swaybars, Endlinks, & Bushings
9) Window Tint
10) Silicone Master Hose Kit
Good list!
1. JWT Clutch/flywheel
2. Exhaust
3. Mrev 2/plenum
4. Steel braided clutch lines
5. chassis bracing
Nice list!
What size wheel are you running on front and rear?
Thanks! Good Videos
Thank you! Here's the video of my wheel and tire combo czcams.com/video/x9XLGAojw6w/video.html
Koni with eibach springs, eibach front and rear sway bars and end links, headers test pioes, yellow pipes and a&m tail pipes, Z1 upper plenum, a&m intake manifold, EPS big bore throttle valves and Z1 cold intake, and Dyno tests.
Good list!
I like the list. Any suggestion for a plenum spacer? Brand? How is the install?
5/16th from Motordyne, that and the MREV2. Here's the install video czcams.com/video/8kbeCSlRDG4/video.html
AnthonyJ350 is this legal in CA?
#1 upgrade to oem brembo brakes
#2 upgrade to oem brembo brakes
#3 upgrade to oem brembo brakes
#4 upgrade to oem brembo brakes
#5 light weight flywheel
Nice list!
hey Anthony make a video about installation of remote starter, which brand is good and how to install in manual transmission
Kind of already did czcams.com/video/QEiJREXkLAI/video.html
Hi you have been very helpful so far so I hope you can help on this my 2003 350z door handle was having issues and we were able to to temp fix it but the part we need I can't find it's the part of the door handle the lock rod plugs into the part it rests on broke off so we need to buy a replacement any help would be appreciated, thanks
Did you try pricing out the part at a Nissan dealership or a body shop?
Hey Anthony, i want to replace my Factory Seats with some nice recaro's and i cant find and Information about the occupancy sensor in the Passenger seat. its a 2007 base Model without seat airbags... maybe u Know more about it? Kind regards
annimx5 You're probably going to have to take it off the old seat and transfer it over.
Mods I have so far for my nismo Z are:
stage 1 clutch with lwf
Zspeed heavy duty slave cylinder
wilwood master cylinder
torque solutions short throw shifter
torque solutions trans mount
z1 motorsports engine mounts
prothane poly diff bushings
straight pipe exhaust (ridiculously loud bit sounds so good)
Thinking about the RJM pedal mod next cause there's a little bit of slop in my clutch pedal at the top. Does that mod fix it?
That's an awesome list. How hard was it to change out the motor mounts? As for the RJM piece, yes it'll clean up the action of the pedal and give you very precise moment.
Awesome
have u got a video on the remote start? id love to do that to mine
Need to get it installed at your experienced local install shop.
Which would you prefer for the Zed, turbo or supercharger?
If I were to pick I'd probably do the Stillen super charger that replaces the whole intake plenum. I like the simplicity and instant power of a blower set up.
what is that key fob setup you got, its sick.
It's the older Viper 5806V. Now I would use Compustar.
what sway bar bushings and end links should I get if I where to get them?
nicholas spitz Here's what I put in my car czcams.com/video/PJY7V2_6vig/video.html
my top 5 asap mods IS
1. brake pads
2. suspension (anything but stock)
3. gutting all the bullshit plastic trimming and metal speaker bracing
4. E85
5. and of course the tune!
Thanks for sharing!
@@AnthonyJ350 for sure! and nothing against the stock suspension tires brakes, those types of things but the car screams im restricted an has tons of potential lol
@@kominy100 I agree, suspension and brakes are my second wave choice of mods, just did the Akebono brake upgrade and love it
czcams.com/video/4d1tGPgqdng/video.html
I didn't know a manual transmission could have a remote start mod. What did you do for that?
I spent a day and half wiring it (because it's my car). You have to wiring it to the ignition lines, e-brake, foot brake, install an integration module to work with the factory immobilizer and wire up to the clutch so it thinks the clutch is being pushed in. I kind of show it in this video.
czcams.com/video/QEiJREXkLAI/video.html
Yo tht security system is dope compared to alot of autozone garbage ive seen what is it
You gotta check out Car Audio shops for stuff like this. This one is a Viper unit. There's lots of other great brands out there, like Compustar.
What was that little screen above the head unit? They looked like battery bars
It's Greddy's Infometer Touch. Here's the video on it czcams.com/video/l9zGcAY3MQA/video.html
Will this remote system support an aftermarket push button start?
Austin Sargent Yes it can. Now depending on the vehicle, when you enter the vehicle may have to shut down and you have to restart it after. This is a safety reason, this is common in Toyotas.
I love my HKS exhaust.
Awesome!
For first upgrades, tbh it’s not necessary to add a short shifter. You should change something like intake and the throttle body or even just a throttle body extensions. Shifters already short enough
That's a subjective statement. The factory shifter is short. However it still feels numb and the better you interact with the car, technically the more effective and faster it becomes.
Skip to the end of this video czcams.com/video/Y1cXgqL2kZo/video.html
At 4:00 do they all sound like that in neutral or is my throw out bearing going.
I think it's just the springs in the clutch. Hold the pedal in when you shut it down and you won't hear it. My 350 small block Chevy makes a similar more quiet noise on shut down.
Hi I have a 2003 nissan 350z with high milage (200,000) and I bought it from someone that didn't know whether they used synthetic or mineral since then I only changed it once and used mineral oil but I don't want to have any future issues with it?
aggo As long as you check the oil level and change it often (no matter the type) that's the best thing you can do. I'm a big fan of Castrol Edge 5W30 for the car.
AnthonyJ350 that's what I figured. Thank you
What kind of remote start is that ? I want to get it for my Z
Eduardo Diaz Viper 5806V.
Nice vid! I'm currently looking at the Tein street basis for my z since most struts are blown :S
Have you heard good/bad stuff about those coilovers? (I'm looking for a similar ride quality to stock)
I don't like coil overs because they don't last as long and you need someone that knows suspension to set them up properly to get them to work properly. I prefer Bilstein shocks and maybe a 1 inch lower spring (I didn't lower my car). If you do lower you'll have to get adjustable camber arms to correct the geometry.
AnthonyJ350 So you think it would be best to replace all stock shocks assembly? That's what i wanted to do initially but i think the coilovers are cheaper than the stock shocks...
Don't buy cheap coil overs, you'll be disappointed or they just won't last. Do you want a lower car? Bilsteins aren't cheap but have a life time warranty and the top sports cars and trucks in the world install them as factory equipment.
AnthonyJ350 I'm on lowered springs and would like to lift it a bit, its too low for me and the roads in Quebec. I found $630 bilsteins struts on Z1 (they dont come with springs so i would have to get the springs too). You kinda scared me with what you just said about coilovers so i'm not sure what i want to do right now since i'm on a budget. Blown struts are not fun to ride on that's for sure... Tein, bilstein or stock. Those are my options right now, i'll do some more research. Thanks for the help as always, you're amazing!
Oh ya I heard the roads in Quebec can be harsh. Ya the 350Z is already low from factory, you might have to look for some stock springs. Sign up on VQ North on facebook and see if anyone is willing to trade with you. You compare different companies, I've just always used Bilstein on all my vehicles and I love the performance and know what to expect.
Have you ever remote started in first?
Michael Cuellar The car can't. There's a safety procedure you have to do czcams.com/video/0pF9CrkuzX4/video.html
what is that electronic unit above your head unit?
Branislav Hudymač It's the Infometer Touch from Greddy
Hey AnthonyJ350 what year is your 350z
Jake Beard It's a 2006 Enthusiast
Hey I have a remote start but I notice it has a nasty scratching or unusual grinding sound on a cold start, so I stopped using it. Do you know what it is?
Might be the starter motor dragging? Might need to have the tach sensing on the remote starter reprogrammed. What kind of vehicle and remote starter?
what are your thoughts on an LS swap?
Gary K Awesome if you can make all the gauges work and keep the wiring looking OEM under the hood.
All of these Upgrades ima have to get + Coil Overs, right after a Manual Swap😪
Nice!
I'm still trying to narrow down my choices of car 350Z, BMW 328i, or the Audi TT RS. Or a Truck.
Get a truck and a 350Z. That's my combination.
Anthony, what make chin spoiler is that?
It's from Magic Drift, here's the video czcams.com/users/results?search_query=350z+front+lip
Hey Anthony, I own a 350z myself! Where did you buy that remote starter with roll up and down windows?! LMK :) and send me the link
This is the system I use viper.com/car/securityremotestart/product/5806v/viper-led-2-way-security-and-remote-start-system
Cool man! I aprc it! Just wondering! my Buddy of mine is selling me his MST MT01s GunMetals for my 35th Anniversary Yellow Z. The specs of the wheels is 18x9.5 all around offset +35, How do you think it'll look on a yellow z? Will it clear brembo brakes and will the wheels sit flushed with the sides or will I need to go like a 10.5 all around? I don't want to go too wide, just flushed.
What security system is that and how much was it?
Skylar Wieber Viper 5806V. A system like this is $800 to $1200 depending how you option it out.
what is that screen over your head unit?
Rey Sheppard It's Greddy's Infometer Touch. Here's the video. czcams.com/video/l9zGcAY3MQA/video.html

Hello, Anthony. what version is that alpine HU?
It's the INE-W967HD
thank you, bro.👍🏼 btw can you do a tutorial video about how to install back up camera as well. im planning to install HU with back up camera.
How much does the self to start cost
At my shop it's anywhere from $700 to $1,000 on average with product and labour.
How you do that remote start?
I installed it here czcams.com/video/QEiJREXkLAI/video.html
Would u recommend wheels or exhaust first?
Wheels + tires*
I would do exhaust first because you as the driver will enjoy it more. A little more power and the sound. You can't look at your wheels while you drive so they're more for everyone else. czcams.com/video/P8_7EfQEYoM/video.html
Does my car need to be a push start for the key fob to work
Nope, all of my vehicles are traditional keys.
put links to the parts. Still liked this.
Did you try searching for the brands online or directly from them?
What keyfob are you using?
Viper 5806V
The spacer is it compatible with automatics?
ralph morales The plenum spacer? Yup totally is.
Thanks for the plenum tip. now i just have to convince the gf to let me soup up her Z. 🤔
Shouldn't take much, start with exhaust because the sense of sound brings a lot of enjoyment.
@@AnthonyJ350 "loud noises startle me." Literally had an exhaust compilation on with her 10 mins ago
Edit: I told her the plenum was for improved gas mileage and overall efficiency. 😅
Where did you get that remote starter
Tyrone Harp Visions Electronics
Where did you get that fob??????
Your local authorized Viper Dealer can install it for you. It's a Viper 5806V.
Going to move the fuel filler up to where the rear side was and hide it behind a louvers.
Of cause i mount a louvers at other side to.
That's interesting. You should make a video and send it. I'm interested to see what it looks like.
Of cause :)
Coilovers man makes the car handle way better
I prefer Bilstein shocks, sway bars and bushings over coil overs. Plus coilovers don't last that long compared to the Bilsteins.
What remote start system is that?
Juan C. Almaguer Viper 5806V
The Bose speakers that come with the z are not compatible with non Bose aftermarket headunits. You will need to swap out those cool speakers with aftermarket speakers and subwoofer as well. The amp that comes with the Bose system also is not compatible with aftermarket head units. You will need the whole Bose system replaced if you want a good sound.
The statement that aftermarket head units are not compatible with the BOSE system is incorrect. You have to gain the factory system and install a line level converter with a harness. I used to do it all the time. Here's a video in a G35 czcams.com/video/dv2L6oQdWTY/video.html
Tires
Oil cooler
Exhaust
Sway bars
Brake rotors and pads
Good list!
Where are those eyelids things called
Just search 350Z headlight eyelid
Idk if you’ll respond. I just bought a 03 350z and I was wondering how I get that key fob you had

how do you have a remote start in a manual?
There's safety precautions. It hooks up to the ebrake and clutch
Here's how you set it up czcams.com/video/0pF9CrkuzX4/video.html
I was wondering the same thing. A vehicle in an apartment complex down the street had a remote starter with a manual transmission, and it ended up driving itself over a parking stop, through a wrought iron fence, over a sidewalk and curb, across five lanes of traffic, over another curb and sidewalk, through a parking lot of another apartment complex where it side-swiped a truck, and into a brick wall of an apartment where it finally stopped. People who initially came outside to investigate thought the driver had fled the scene. AnthonyJ350, I hope the safety precautions you have work as intended. Nice video and ride, by the way!
@@jeffbarragan8124 There's a safety procedure and we do not do remote starters on manual convertibles. czcams.com/video/0pF9CrkuzX4/video.html

@@AnthonyJ350 have you ever had any problems with it ever since? How well does the key fob hold up?
@@JarodSchwentker I haven't no, I've seen a couple battery issues with older versions. Viper offers 3 year warranty on their new stuff now I believe. The "brain" itself is lifetime if installed by an authorized dealer.
My mod for my 350Z:
1. Change springs - lower ~1.5 " ,
2. Change both swaybars and installed "H" frame under.
3. Installed plenum " kinetic" upper cover
4. Put Godspeed catback exhaust
5. Will put exhaust manifold headers.
These are my top 5, all completed except exhaust manifold headers- that's next!
Honorable mention: installed performance chip to the OBD11 port.

I do recommend the tune. The reason why I don’t recommend the tune is... what?
Wait till all your mods are done. Unless you do a mod that drastically alters driveability.
This is the opposite of my list!
Tell us your list!
I have the Plenum spacer and exhaust on there so that has to be on your list to make power. And you wouldn't put sway bar bushings or end links on your list?
AnthonyJ350 1) Brake components 2) Wheels and Tires. Wide light and sticky. 3) Camber Arms 4) Clutch type LSD 5) Coilovers. Good ones. Car will rip.
List makes sense. I guess that's where you see the difference of a street build vs track.
That remote start is soo freaking cool. I wish i knew how to install that. Seems difficult. How does the engine start without someone holding the clutch tho?
You wire to the clutch switch so the car "thinks" you're pushing it in. It's recommended to have a professional do it to ensure proper functionality and wiring cleanliness. I just happen to be a professional Installer.
Too bad you don't live anywhere near me, or I'd hire you ;)

Racer Shotz It's a 2006.
Racer Shotz Non car guys spotted
Racer Shotz 2017 would more than likely be a 370z not a 350z
And Momo track steering wheel and focal sound systems and I live happily ever after even without a girlfriend.

Who's 350 zed?
That’s how Canadians say Z
That's how people in the Commonwealth pronounce it.

freeyourmind88 take out the air bags ??
NINJA EDIT lol...I dig cars that install air suspension. ride is so nice.
oh lol now I understand 😂
3:30 you can roll the window up and down with the regular key
I know you can roll them down with the key fob but I don't think up. And yes you can operate the windows with the key in the tumbler, but that requires you to go up to the vehicle.
I like to air out the vehicle while I'm finishing my lunch in a restaurant and it's cool being able to do it from a distance.
Ahhh hey thanks for getting back to me! I’ve been trying to figure out how to do it up and tried just about every button combo lol
imagine leaving it in gear then pressing the remote start lol
It won't remote start. The vehicle has a "ready mode" so it knows it's in neutral.
Here watch this video showing the ready mode czcams.com/video/0pF9CrkuzX4/video.html
Warming up your car for 2 minutes is not necessary. The debunked that on Car Talk.
For most cars yes, but on more performance oriented vehicles that have forged internals and chain tensioners that rely on oil pressure, it's not going to hurt anything.
350zed
Yup
those cold air intakes .. bullshit.. they suck..
klepetar They do suck! Literally! Haha see what I did there???
Saying "zed" when you have an American accent is just stupid
Well I'm Canadian and that's how we pronounce it, so I'm going to call ignorance on your part. You can watch 7:30 of this video too and I explain it czcams.com/video/iaQCP5cWSqU/video.html
Then why pronounce it "zee" at 2:24 ? lmao but thanks for going through the time to link another video and find the specific time for me to watch. I don't care that much at all.
I don't know to show that I have the ability to pronounce it either way and there is more than one way to say something. But if you need the need to judge and be rude go right ahead, I'll leave your first comment there.
