  • For the first time in over 3 years I’ve left beautiful Thailand. I’ve flown to the UK for a few months of work and it’s FREEZING cold! Also my body no longer works like it used to. This is gonna take some getting used to…
Life in Thailand after leaving the UK.
Join me on my Thailand adventure as I attempt to create a fruit farm on five acres of land, build a house, dig a well for my own water source and install solar panels to become completely off grid!
Watch me generally fumble my way through every process, trying to keep positive and upbeat throughout 🧘‍♂️

Got three buckets of water over me while riding to the barber: so greatful…Sonkrans a go-go in Issan…don’t overcook it: UK best in very small portions!

I loved that vlog Ben, a real dose of reality for all us expat Brits over here in Thailand.
Although the scenery is beautiful, even at this time of year, the thought of 2 degs made me break out in a cold sweat, it's 39 here where I am today near Bangkok!
I feel for you mate, compounded by a glimpse of your beloved blue pipe, was that staged, did you stash a piece in your luggage to 'remind you of home'?

I am not a chef but that kitchen looks very clean and organized. You'll have to take some videos when the restaurant is busy. it looks like fine dining for many customers. It's normal to get a bit sick after a long flight and facing a big climate change. Every time I fly from BKK back to the States (25 hours all together) my body is beat.

Don't tell me it's not the chefs themselves bringing this "stress" onto themselves. Come on now, honestly... How difficult is it to put pasta in boling water and pull it out? Chop some veggies, stick things in and out of the oven, peel potatoes, slice meat and so on? It's not them cheffs doing some brain surgery, saving lives, putting themselves on lines of combat etc... Demanding job? Yes for sure. As many other jobs out there. But seems that the "industry" needs some major rethinking and reorganization. Can't see why 8 hour shifts couldn't be possible. And no it's not you I'm blaming for it. But thousands of videos of chefs on youtube trying to look like the sun would stop shining if they went home after an 8 hour shift. And a great video as usually. Likable guy with an interesting story. 👍
