Just noticed.. yes even outside water tanks will keep their protective plastic wrap on for years in Thailand (the same as every TV or AC remote).

That Soil around the house is a Game changer. Looks great. A real bowl of the traditional Tom yum Gung with all the fresh herbs and spices is good for hangovers.
thanks for sharing, i visited a coconut farm years back, and they use the trench/canals not just for irrigation but also when harvesting the coconuts, they drop them into the water and then float them around to collection points and load the trucks there, i was impressed i would of carried them 55 55 ,

Hi Ben, We've watched all your videos so we hope you will continue with your channel, and believe me, even without dialogue your channel would still be great, so don't worry about content.....The wife can picture herself making a herb & vegetable garden at your place, do you have plans on being a bit more self-sufficient ? btw Ben i used Goose Fat for our Xmas dinner and they were the best roast potato's I've ever made and i glazed the baby carrots with butter & honey, amazing results mate..... Speaking of red wine which I always thought was very expensive..I have recently had the quat yai of laughing bird wine deng..its a litre and a halfbottle for 599 baht... Available in Lotus'ss which works out slightly cheaper than we pay in Ireland.
Oh I’ll have a look for that. I know generally red wine is a lot more pricey than in the Uk. I normally spend around 600 baht on what would be probably half that in Uk.

True about the weather, my friend , 23 years, lives close to Myanmar, she said it has been very cold!! Yes, huge difference, been gone a week or so, it looks great! And the dog is are growing!!!
We are working on the canals , the crawfish, are giving, but not much rain still, so we have to keep the water in the ponds!

Wishing you a Sawadee pee mai.I have watched a few of your videos.all great stuff.I just wanted to explore your reasoning of trying to fill your canal with water from your well? or maybe I'm confused.
With hindsight I wouldn’t have done it, just because we ended the monsoon season with a bad flood, which filled the canals anyway. The actual amount of rain we got preceding the flood was very small, that’s why I filled it from the well. Bad timing 🤣
I always forget to ask the water being pumped to the house for showers or such is it just the pump for the water pressure or do you a gravity system somewhere?

Congrats on the durian farm- how established is it? I know it’s a good 4 or 5 years before you get any fruit. Defo a great investment though 👍👍
We considered doing the same on our farm, but my wife and her mother would eat all the profits I reckon 😅

we have been here 8 years, only 2 rai. most trees now 6 yrs old but some older than 50 years. Hope this year a good one as last 3 were not. We are here full time now so can look after things better ( used to spend Xmas in NZ). Know what you mean about wife and in laws. Your farm looks great.
