One critique if I may.
Use your Bio-Char sparingly. Just like worm poop or compost. Do NOT over do Bio-Char. It is like a sponge for nutrients. It will steal Nutrients from where it can.
It is better to bury the Bio-Char, 5-10 Cm's below the ground level, once again sparingly...but over the entire canopy of the tree.
Roots have the ability to extend to the outmost reaches of the tree branches. Which makes sense, since the leaves will drop water around the tree when it rains.
Sugar Cane Mulch is a very affordable thing in Thailand and it works better than what you are using and can be cheaper if you shred it yourself.
Mulch is what you should be using around your trees. NOT Bio-Char even Inoculated Bio-Char. I t works far better underground than on top. There must be a joke there...somewhere!!! 😂😂

I was only thinking yesterday that you guys had been a tad quiet. We visited a Goat Farm up in Pranburi and the owner told me that the situation was bad for him, so he opened up as a tourist attraction. He gets around 100 visitors a day and that has basically saved his farm from going under. Glad to see everyone is healthy down on the farm.

hi lee i read a educational study of black soldier flies im glad you started a colony they will feed fish and frass fertilise your land win win in the study they were fed septic tanks sludge old oils and fats from caterers and old food waste.they they were gettin loads as in tons . good luck hope toons better soon

All looking good mate. Great seeing your Mum out there again enjoying the fishing. Just wish I didn't have so many health issues as I would try and get me and Kev out there camping under the stars in one of your huts. We could build a raft out of cans and race across the lake.

You defo got a lot going on, diversification is a great thing. You need to get yourself a push bike with a trailer, or an old electric golf cart. Question: Would you have done anything different when you & Toon first started this project.

Yes indeed. We have a healthy stock of Java & Tinfoil barbs that are great sport on the pole or light waggler.

Well goats eat cut and cooked or raw banana trunks ? LOL and remember chickens are birds lol.
Anything banana related the goats will go bonkers for.

To me. That is ash not biochar. Biochar refers to high heat and results in "oil". Stay safe.
Wood ash is a powder. Biochar is a solid material & contains no "oil" 😉
