    You fish in the same areas i do mate ☺ Good on ya for setting up a youtube channel and sharing your tips.
    there are alot of landbased
    novice kids, amateur fishos
    & even tourist guests to Ol Melbourne town who learn alot from guys like you.
    shout out to LandbasedKings boys, Tackleworld crew, Mordi tackle,
    Winga and all other folk chasing landbased reds this summer. good luck everyone! safe fishing✌
    my experience with brighton/sandringham rockwall is
    that there are bloody big flatties there
    consistently!. you may only get one or two at a time but they are big in the marina at sandi especially.
    i saw someone lose a big 45cm flatty at mornington pier last week.
    big tip. unless ur on soft plastics,
    go to a proper fishmonger and get human grade squid (or catch ur own)
    and high quality pilchards from springvale market (just be careful some pillies from market can b mushy crap) its best if you get good firm pillies
    salt them and freeze vacuum seal.
    you can always catch random reds on stinky old servo pillies but overall if your wondering why certain ppl always post big bag catches landbased....its because of good bait.
    if u fish from 4-7pm most nights along the bay piers /rocks, you should hit a day with sum pinkies. persistence & patience. hint circle hooks smalk on one rod, bigger circle hook on another rod. running sinker rig with nice long trace or
    paternoster. bomb sinker.

  • @locust7777
    @locust7777 Před 6 lety +1

    What length do you make your leader? And why do you use braid that is lighter than the leader? I thought it was supposed to be the other way around, so that the leader breaks first if you snag.

    • @LandFishTV
      @LandFishTV  Před 6 lety

      locust7777 I use flurocarbon leader so the fish can not see the line and I use abput 1.5m of it.

    Does 15 pund braid work with 10 pound leader

    • @LandFishTV
      @LandFishTV  Před 6 lety

      Yeah can be done, normally I run 8lb braid to 10lb leader. Many combos work well.,. As long as you can cast well with it and catching fish... No need to change.

  • @multimadnessgaming8636

    I know that you are a mainly lure based channel, but I just wanna know what is good Bait for flathead because I don't have a setup suitable for fishing with soft plastics at the moment.

    • @LandFishTV
      @LandFishTV  Před 6 lety

      Multi Madness Gaming if you use the last 3 inch of a pilchard or use white bait cast it out.... wait for max 15 mins and if no bites move spots 10 metres away and keep repeating. You will catch more flatheads moving spots every 10 to 15 mins then staying in the same space for hours..... the exception is if you berley alot.... then fish the burley trail.

      SkillFulFortz_ line looks like you flicked it (bite)... line goes straight (has it in its mouth)... you feel a pull...strike to hook the fish on all of those.. the rest comes with practice and experience.
