I have a little combo, same as you Sonic Lure 6102 3-5 kg rod and Shimano Sienna 2500 reel just for flicking plastics but there is no info on rod about the casting weight if I want to cast some light metal lures, also another cheapy combo 702 Quickfire 2-4 kg rod with sienna 2500 reel, no casting weight either, so not sure what weighted lures I would be safe with, can you advice please? Getting conflicted info from BCF, Anaconda and even Shimano Australia, very confusing.

I don't know if you have or if you haven't but you should check out some of the creeks around Melbourne I live in Dandenong very close to dandy Creek I've been catching redfin yellow belly and carp over the past 2 days I am told deserve a better fishing up towards the Dandenongs apparently Dandenong Creek runs from the base of the Dandenongs for 57 kilometres the creek Flows Into the Patterson River and out into the Port Phillip Bay Patterson River in Seaford is also a really hotspot my ex supervisor now lives in Seaford has a boat on the Patterson River and literally Goes Fishing everyday maybe worth checking out

G'day mate loving you content I've literally just started fishing again after many years of night shift and super long hours 14 to 18 hours shifts in the exhibition industry but I developed a blockage in the artery behind my knee rendering my left leg unusable long story short the time I had to wait for the surgery was apparently too long for my boss who told me you you're right mate take your time your job will be waiting for you so that didn't happen and I have lots of spare time on my hands unfortunately so I was wondering if I could possibly tag along one day or one evening to pick up some hints and tricks out in the field there's only so much you can learn from a video and as you can imagine I have a million and one questions in the meantime I'll buy the phone and watch for the next video to drop

People are funny! Myself I get in the water and spear or with my wife’s permission (I couldn’t help it) roam the streets/waterways with my bow in springtime . In between 10 pm and 3am you are in for a ball!! Asian carp, carp suckers and the jewel- Buffaloes. These , when cleaned with fat and fasciae removed are delicious. We pressure can them with great results. Don’t knock it until you actually try it.

Hi Mate, I have a few newbie questions for you, if that's OK?For land based fishing for bread and butter species, if you were recommending 2x rod, reel and line combinations to cover 90% of applications, what would you suggest?
