Clearly farmers are terrified of this produce, because they know it threatens the longterm prospects of agriculture.
Nobody is eating lab grown meat😂
@@JudyStroyer-bk6fb I will - you’re naive if you don’t think people will try out lab grown meat. Believe or not - people don’t like the idea that buying meat requires the death of an animal.
True. They hate competition!
Currently it’s extremely expensive. But I’d love to try some. Especially now that bird flue is turning up in cattle.
@@JudyStroyer-bk6fb Why not ?
They care nothing about people's health, it's just money.
Like factory farming meat doesn’t cause cancer and other diseases
When i hear safe and effective, it's suspect.

Splenda!
David, so you would rather pay someone to abuse and murder animals on your behalf ?
With how meat/egg factories treat their animals and the conditions they live in, i’d rather have lab grown meat that is grown from animal cells and no Anti-biotic’s bc of said conditions.
The future of food ❤❤❤
Good segment, I like how there are two opposing views from good guests.
Why oppose this if it is safe and leads to cheaper food production?
Is it really safe?
Yes of course like most corporate created ingredients from fructose to msg are today…….NOT!! Typical liberal hive mentality!
Eating Cheetos and drinking non-dairy creamer is safe, and they have been around for decades, but you'll die if you depend on them for nourishment. This fake meat stuff is new. We don't know how it will affect us over the long-term...
@@musuyanguba4226No more safe than the things put in the foods & drinks we already have.
@@nicoctane1669 Really? Do we need to add another fake food on the shelves?
How do you know that meats from
Animals are safe from diseases ?
Very good question… One thing I would like to add, is that it’s not just meat that we have to be worried about spreading diseases and bacteria, it’s also the produce and pantry goods we eat. Cantaloupe was recalled by the FDA a few months ago because of Salmonella contamination. Quaker Oats has been recalled for months because of Salmonella contamination as well. Spinach from BrightFarms was recalled due to Listeria contamination. The real question wouldn’t be just for meat groceries, but for all types of groceries.
Meatball Ron.
Dude can you imagine Ron Desantis flavored frozen italian meatballs? Made with 100% Desantis meat cells.
@@newday8545 it's been over an hour and I'm still grossed out. 😩You totally rock.🤣👍 great job.
I appreciate you guys showing both points of veiw 👍
Why would they ban cultivating meat unless the beef industry is involved?
If it tastes like real meat and as long as its not disgusting or weird tasting than its fine , why would anyone oppose it ??? its great , it sounds like a great alternative
it is gross and you spit it out, really, i cant eat it....
@@rayerickson7614 so you've tried it?
@@newday8545 yes, 4 or 5 times now
So gullible
@@rayerickson7614 Im curious to know the tasting note difference. was it chicken, beef, or both?. I don't imagine itll be for everyone.
Good guests. Informative. Thank you.
Maybe we can do some lab grown hearts and livers for people who need transplants.
That's in development using the same technology as this.
And I also remember TAB - the cola that came with a disclaimer on how it "may cause cancer, and has in mice and other lab mammals".....
Yet Marty McFly asked for one in 1955 anyway!
"Tab? I can't give you a tab unless you order something."
THIS IS THE FUTURE OF FOOD. Once extensive testing is made public and cleared by a reputable third party, I will eat lab grown meat all day. As our planet's population grows and farmed meat continues to negatively impact the environment, we will soon NEED this if we want the future of our human existence to remain on this planet.
😂😂😂😂😂
Seems like a potential way to try more exotic meats. Bear or tiger maybe, if not those endangered species.
Bro sthu 😂😂😂
Justin, great comment, I agree,I would also like to add that lab grown meat is a far more compassionate choice then causing horrific suffering and violent death to innocent animals !
@@jjradV 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it's made from cancer.....stay all natural as nature intended.....natural = healthy.....artificial/ synthetic = poison.... I can't believe I have to explain this.....
I'm just worried about how safe it is to consume long term. What are the unknown health impacts yet to be tested likng term? Conserving resources and decreasing how much we slaughter animals would be game changer for animal welfare, but im also concerned about safety for consumers as well.
3:41 3 years is not enough time to make sure a product is safe for consumption. If it’s taken me over 3 years for doctors to find SMA Syndrome when they thought it was IBS and Gastritis, 3 years can’t be enough time to see what the lab meat does to the human body over time.
Yep the covid vax is proving that today!!
Why do they care what other people eat? Why are they so offended by other people’s right to not contribute to animal cruelty? Vegan or not we should be able to agree that this isn’t ok.
Why exactly do we need this?
Better for the environment and more ethical than factory farming.
Really excited to try some in the future.
Why are you waiting? Go get some
I don't believe in letting special interests get in the way of innovation. This is great for lowering the cost of meat as well as CO2 emissions. It means more land for other things besides livestock.
Things are getting weirder
0:02 that does NOT look like your average filet of meat
I'm not eating that
If you eat sometimes in any fast food you probably already eat it. Even the mayonnaise have ingredients cultivate in labs. Check the back label of your mayonnaise
@alejandroavila4288 Haven’t had fast food in years…
Can they grow cow skin for leather cow seats to help save the amazon rain forrest?
They’re working on that right now.
No fake meat here
It's real. Just no suffering.
@@Alexander21025 Almost real don't cut it over here soy boy
the research is there for lab gown meat, the first lab meat was made in 2013.
Then go eat it. I choose no
I think I'll stay away from the Frankenstein Burgers!
Well to be fair , not all meat is made the same either , also could have long term effects we are experiencing. Idk 🤷♂️ it would take decades to get that up and running so why not support it lol
You don’t need meat!!
They could be selling now who knows
Will the laws say that new manipulations need new approvals?
Isnt Desantis lab grown?
Lab meats sounds like sorcery
Put it in the market and let us know what it is and those who are ignorant can eat that crap and save the real food for those of us who like real food.
Id eat it ,its cells from real chicken why not .....half of yall eat McDonald's you dont kno what conditions that meat was cultivated under before thay gave you chicken nuggets lol
I remember Splenda and all the other sugar substitutes.....
If they aren't looking to replace meat then why are so many farmers including family farms having so many restrictions placed on them
It won't effect the bottom line of meat producers BUT we don't want it. Let the market decided that is how America is supposed to work.
its the future whether u wanna be ignorant or not 😂
Biggest question remove the safe safe safe out of the speech or give us someone who wont be afraid to speak up and take responsibility and specify again nutritional wise what it has what its missing. We the people are not the trial and error testing, we want the truth and proof of the nutritional and bacterial and microscopic info about the meat! Show us the charts. Our body and health matter.
He's 💯right.plastic food is for dolls...toys🤮...🤢
Do you realize how much micro plastics are in food already? Hope your washing your vegetables and not eating processed foods. Also just think about seafood for a second and put that in perspective, all those shrimp and delicious fishies that consume plastic. I can go further when it comes to cups, plates, utensils. We are plastic dolls i guess.
How about better land management, use, and distribution instead. How about making non-meat diets way more affordable to reduce overconsumption. How about anything except lab meat
Why do you think animal foods which take more land, water and fossil fuels to produce cost less than non-animal foods? Eliminating the subsidies for animal foods (seriously, this industry is hundreds of years old, why can't/hasnt it learn to survive without government handouts?) will put the true cost of foods in perspective.
@@ecofriend93 Regarding the production costs, a heavy improvement in localized food production with community gardens and other means would help by returning America to a situation where it grows more if its own food. A big problem with the government/subsidized farm dependency cycle relates to poor planning.
Obviously going forward water allocation will also be a massive issue as the population globally explodes..
@@EscapeCondition human population is not exploding. In fact, birth rates are falling in most parts of the world. What is exploding is our desire for animal products. Animal husbandry already takes up more land than any other human activity. As economic status of people increase they want to eat more like Americans, ie more animal foods, which is what the Earth cannot support.
@@ecofriend93 I have no idea how you're measuring global population growth rate but if you're doing it on a year by year basis that's horribly incorrect. Growth rate of global population is measured by decades or centuries and the population has gone from 2.5 billion in 1950 to over 8 billion today.
1/4 of those 8 billion have come since the late 1990s alone.
@@EscapeCondition check again. I said birth rate. let me ask you this, do you know how much land humans take up if you put all of the and their houses together in one place? Now compare that to how much land animal husbandry takes up.

AMEN BROTHER USA
😂that is disgusting the way they grow it in a can🤢
So, have you seen a slaughterhouse before? You realize those animals lose their bowels on the floor when they are murdered, right? I would rather eat something grown in a can than eat the dead body of a living being.

@@rayerickson7614 I don't think it will ever replace the farmed animal market. But remember this tech is also being developed to grow replacement organs such as hearts and livers for people needing organ transplants. Best yet these organs wont have the rejection problem. So for the sake of tech development for people in need, maybe I might try a gross lab grown hamburger or two. You know, to help do my part if I can. Just something to think about.
No thank you. You can say it's safe all you want.
Ohhh AMERICA OPEN YOUR EYES!!!
I’m sure it’s “safe and effective” like all the other “science” to come out. Don’t worry and just “twust duh soyance” - Dawktah Tony
I am in an area of Texas where your cows eat “grass” lol they eat it right next to oil wells… we put gates around equipment to keep them away from the important equipment that they can break or die in. I am not even sure the cows have water to drink from other than the one that God drops around here. And that’s not often… this land is being drilled to the point where it just looks like a grid from the sky. I would say it’s kind of polluted. That’s where some of your meat is coming from. I don’t think that’s healthy either.
Good debate. I believe people should have the option to eat the fake meat.
Invest in agriculture. No lab grown meat.
Nah
This is one of those early days of Amazon or Apple moments. Probably going to pay off big time in the future
Don’t they have something called processed meat already or is it called goo
Poison
I think it's a good idea. Hopefully that leads to banning pork.
They're lucky they're eating at all
People missed the point where the guy said that he’s creating just what consumers are buying. Literally just making a chicken breast. Not a whole chicken. There is a vital piece missing from that. Maybe it is “safe” to a degree, but there is an ecosystem we have and it revolves around animals and plants, sunlight, oxygen water… processed foods are known to be bad for you. Military will be forced this. It will be subsidized so it won’t be a fair market where the consumer decides if they want it or not. It will be given to you without knowledge at restaurants.
lab grown meat uses more resources to produce than regular meat
At this stage.. in 10 years, probably not
I can't believe i agree with DeSantis
Why? this is his worst decision.
By the way - You need to dive a bit deeper into the scalability and the "ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY" of this BS product. It will cost you much more, it is not safe, and it is in no way sustainable...
This is why we must get off of meat 😮😢
If I can not real meat from the market I will just be a vegetarian.
Ewwww. I'd rather have a burger made out of vegetable , soy, pulled from the dirt- than a lab grown meat floating around in some fluid in a laboratory. 👎
The margarine vs butter push and debate of our era. And we know how that turned out. Butter isn’t just superior to margarine - margarine is actually detrimental to our health.
I agree with Governor De Santi
"CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD, I beg you to never force me to worship any false god and I ask you for forgiveness for my sins and immorality. Thank you for everything. Amen."
Please pray this now, pray the words as you read them if you cannot look and remember them

Please worship the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, THE LORD GOD and try not to worry too much about the differences between the different religions and denominations, try to think about the similarities and the things they may have in common more than the differences.
