- CrossCode! It might be my favorite indie game, and is even one of my favorite video games! If you like games like Chrono Trigger, Zelda Link to the Past, Or even more action heavy games like Hyperlight Drifter, you might really enjoy this game!

I can't SLEEP, I've been stuck playing this game until 2-3am! The music is great, and it somehow made grinding tolerable if not fun. It also references Gurren Lagann to a beautiful extent, so I'm willing to call it one of the greatest games of all time.

Found this game years ago and now that it's completed there is nothing else holding it back from being one of if not the best indie game i have ever played. Easily in the top 3 of my favorite games. Incredible hidden gem that deserves way more recognition.

Crosscode is in my top 3 favorite games of all time, you missed the super intricate areas with height-based puzzles that reward you for interiorizing the map layouts.

Bqck in early 2021 I was super bored and spent weeks looking for a very particular type of game. Something with jrpg type level ups, stats, and skills, but on a real time combat system. In April, I watched a Shyguymask video on CrossCode and it was everything I was looking for. It was one of the most amazing games I've ever played. The story, the puzzles, the combat, the characters, the sidequests, the references and jokes, all incredible. Bought the dlc day one (on switch) and the dungeon's final boss was so incredibly difficult yet fair, took me like a week but beating it was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. The game even has options to weaken enemies and slow down puzzles so those who can't take the challenge can still beat it! I very highly recommend the game to anyone and everyone
Shyguymask inspired me to play this game too. Completely worth it and I’m now part way through the DLC. Loved almost every moment
Comparing the story to Xenoblade is definitely not a coincidence, as development started shortly after one of the lead developers finished Xenoblade 1, the sidequest system was directly inspired by Xenoblade, the devs have cited Xenogears as an inspiration for the story, and a piece of official art references Xenosaga with a caption suggesting that it was also an influence.
It pretty much is an indie Xeno game.

For all who don't know this. Cross Code is the Spiritual Successor of "Velsarbor" a RPG Maker Game which never made it live. There is only an extended Demo of it and it's a blast. Try it out, then you know where all the good elements come from.
Such a good game. I initially tried it out on a whim but so sucked into it that I kept playing it until I beat it…then immediately bought the story DLC to see more.
Cant believe this game managed to make grinding feel good with the S-rank killsprees

Ngl, I only chose element depending on the combat arts they allow (and enemy weekness). I haven't noticed any major difference in stats and I entered the endgame a week ago so I can't say I 100% agree, but there's no denying that crosscode is my favourite game ever, so there's that

This game blew me away. I havent finished it but the game is fair but hard as fuck at times and I love it. I love gambling my chain too so addictive. A masterpeice for sure. Im acrually gunna play it after watching this lol the game is huuuge too like wtf indies keep showing up and showing out. I love it
One problem I have with getting back into it. it's hard to tell where the quests are. the map doesn't exactly guide you

I am not a big fan of games with rich stories, tons of dialogue, and a deep combat system. But this also looks pretty good, want to check it out.

I started playing crosscode before I started joining my friends MH rise and sunbreak so I took a break and haven't gone back I stopped playing it jan of 2023 I left off in the dungeon in the desert twon just got the ice stance

This video did pretty terribly so I'm not too worried about it. Especially considering I made another video featuring crosscode a while back that *does* promote Terra and it did about 38 times better than this lol

I found this game from this short wishlisted it bought it played for 100 hours game completed and now i am playing the ng + ( which has unique scene cause your are buffed out )
Everything about this game is amazing except puzzles cause i suck
After seeing this video i decided to pick up the game. Its a good game and if you enjoy puzzle action games. Than pick it up. But i think the game goes a little too balls to the wall with its puzzles and it ended up for me, becoming really tedious.
Gonna be honest it's a super great game but the story was really slow for me for the first three ish areas

Sorry for the late reply, I just beat it today lol. But I liked it! I thought it did a great job of answering most of the questions I had from the base game which is exactly what I wanted it to do. It's got it's flaws, but overall I enjoyed my time with it

I played for over 3 hours and never got to the stance change stuff, only had one real dungeon-like area, and had to go through plodding tutorials and mysterious plot that didn't make me very interested to learn more since I didn't care enough about things I didn't understand. I'm sure it gets better later, but I didn't have the patience to get there
That's a shame, but if you don't care about the characters then you'll likely don't care about the story. Which again is a shame since it's one of my favorite games and stories

Hollow knight was made by 3 people in 2 years it should be considered the best or one of the best indie titles
How do people get into this? Within an hour or two, you're just left hanging with no real objective or what to do next? Just a big ambiguous world and endless directions to go.
You follow the path to the area the game's main quest tells you to go. Not that hard.
