Υοu can take magic training right away on lvl 1. I tried swf paladin as a human with longsword (you get +1 multiplier from knights training which you get for free from the KoTC tree) and was able to dish a lot of damage. Holding an orb with some healing amp on the off hand was also useful.
my sword/shield Pally has 250+ AC and 2500+ HP with healing so Tank max solo build
Nice info on cleaves!
"On a TWF paladin, you give up 80% of your damage to single target if you're using cleave." What? No. You give up 80% chance to deal double damage. That's only 1-100/180 = 43.5% damage loss.
Also I still like cleave on THF when you get them without spending feats, they have a better hitbox than strikethrough so even if you don't have enough targets to increase your raw dps, it might still end up being better by hitting your enemies more reliably. Plus you can pick up the cleaves way earlier than you get huge strikethrough rating. If you're only sitting at 80-120% strikethrough, suddenly your multi-target output is a lot better with cleaves. So even if you don't like it at high levels, picking up cleaves and respeccing the enhancement tree at 6 or 11 is a nice boon.
How do you bind keys 1-3 to one key?
I'm curious about a twf paladin, looking to get back into the game and was thinking of doing 14 paladin and ranger. Just everything else thats new since ice last played idk nothing about it
just messed with cleaves on swash barb, even though i have chainsss. so yea you can imagine the aoe my toon has as a single weapon fighter its insane. i recommend anyone who hasnt tried that build to try it, its insane.
kind of late comment, but what type of gear should i be focusing on getting? Semi new to the game aswell and am just getting into sharn atm on this build.
So i've followed this but i went feydark illusionist as i wanted to use the shadow blades :)
what about if i got feyark and use the shadowblade?
Wouldn't it be better to go dwarf with a dwarven axe (favoured weapon) and use single weapon fighting with BONUS strikethrough from knight of the chalice and dwarven enhancements?
If you aren't using the dynastic falcata and also want to take magical training for access to feydark illusionist or go strength based then yes it is likely better.
Daxes are 18-20/x4
Longswords are 16-20/x4 and have great named weapon choices.
Just go longswords if you can avoid the falcata (FI or str based)
Hey strim will you update build I'm using mechotech an fatesing but feel like it could be better
Hmm, how about Shadar-kai paladin? Chains and smites
Is this build still viable, and could it be played with Half-Elf?
Nice croc glitch in the background., Couldn't watch it as my OCD made me go blind after 20 secs,...
Is this build still viable?
