I'd love to see the same ratings (separately) for 1-20, 20-32, R1-4, R6+. Also, separate solo and group ratings. That would give people great context.
you do NOT need to multiclass bard swashbuckler or warchanter. i have a pure bard swashbuckler/warchanter, with 101% perma double strike, 250 prr, 140 mrr (only cause light armor cap), 38% dodge, and over 120 ac. plus my DC's for freezes are 109 DC after the nerf, used to be 145 dc for my freezes pre nerf. his name is Scuba Steve and I can solo basically anything except raids.

Honestly, fighter D tier but wizzy should have been AT LEAST B. Reasoning being the adaptability of their spellbook. They can be a buffer, they can cc via any spell type in some form, FoD comes with some other cool necro options, it can have it's own pet on top of self healing (weaker in reaper, but still), and if you decide to do some cross classing into a melee you can make them much more adaptable. Self healing fighter, or mix into the EDK tree. I've seen a 8 wiz, 6 fighter, 6 monk with 10k hp tanking in R10 like it was R2.
Note: Wizard isn't even my favorite, but I think it was unfairly judged. Personal opinion. Regardless, I liked the contents of the video.
I appreciate the subjectivity of this topic.
Here's my list:
S: Monk
A: Rogue - Artificer - Ranger (Bow) - Favored Soul
B: Bard (Swashbuckler) - Paladin - Barbarian
C: Fighter - Warlock - Cleric
D: Sorcerer - Wizard - Druid

I would put S for Rogue, A for monk. Monks don't have UMD or disable device as a class skill. They are amazing at combat, probably the best at melee combat, however, there aren't any dungeons that REQUIRE a monk, and maybe a third of the dungeons you will have a hard time if you don't have a rogue.

I got to lv 10 or so, and had VIP, but it was soo expensive and I was busy so I quit for the better part of a year. Now I'm starting again, going Barbarian, and any advice would be HIGHLY appreciated, ty. I'm going all Frenzied Berserker rn, human, with 18 STR, 16 Con, and 10 DEX I'm pretty sure, 2 Handed Weapon proficiency. Im level 3 and got exactly 100 Health at time of writing.
Let me explain about one thing about Sorcerer I was playing Tiefling fire sorc and my cone of cold ( have damage penalty because I'm a fire savant ) can kill forgewraiths in one shot or two shots in R1 BLP and Reach for Skies. That's why Sorcerer very strong class for levelling and racial , heroic past lives.
4:50 Maybe it's just my playstyle, but I'd put warlock above sorcerer. I'd leave warlock where it is (A tier) and move sorcerer down to lower in A or high B. I find warlocks do more damage than sorcerers, run out of spell points far less often, are sturdier, and more utilitarian. Again, maybe that's just my playstyle (and possibly gear and past lives that I've collected).
I think if you make a sorc build to nuke mobs then it can do some of the most damage in the game

Out of curiosity, do you still have an interest in doing an enhancement tree tier list? Sounds like a ton of work that may not be worth it for you, but I'd definitely be interested in hearing you talk about all of the trees.
Good list. Because of the way the first 3 went, i thought you were just going to sort them all into tiers starting with the first letter of their class lol. Good ole' Warlock, all the way down in W tier.
All the classes are good in DDO, so it's hard to have a joke tier off frame. Enhancement trees though? I wonder which ones will end up in Z or ZZZ tier.
I disagree with the first one. But thats because I don't play cleric for damage. My cleric is almost exclusively heals and buffs. Alot of buffs and options for healing.

Strimtom, its possible you do tier lis of Builds? like for exemple wizard instakiller and CC tier A ? in ddo some builds are very popular, like heallers and DPS builds. wanna know if have any contend about top 10 builds or something...
And maybe do a list for first lifers or newer players? I had no idea warlock was supposed to be easy for us newbies…
This list was very very subjective, as it's from my personal feelings and not an analysis of current meta trends. I do plan to do a similar list to this with enhancement trees, but top 10 builds is really difficult because DDO has a very wide variety in content where builds can succeed.
Example:
High Reaper dungeons get bodied by sorcerers and alchemists. Spell burst is good.
High reaper raids don't allow sorcerers (dps) and alchemists due to mana restrictions.
Making a top 10 build list would also be as subjective, but I'll consider it for sure.
@@r8chlletters if you are first lifer, i recomend you starting with a support build, like bard, you can heal, buff, and if you have farm some gear you can even CC the mobs
@@Strimtom i know its hard, its so hard that nobody make this kind of material in anywhere, but when i mean top 10, i mean r10 top 10 full completionist build, the strong as possible builds
Really enjoyed this video but have to disagree with the arti once you get imp precise then have thunder shock can trip pretty much anything lol. Im at 17 on my main that has lots of pl tho sitting at 60 trip dc can boost it to a 71 with kta. At end game im usually sitting around 130 dc with no issues landing in r10s.
Am I the only one who loves fighters? They are good with a favor-soul hireling.
And they can solo some dungeons well. Sure they are not as good as paladins, but they are decent in dishing out damage.

What is the difference between Sorcerer and Wizard in DDO?
I am familiar with their table-top versions, but the game has changed some features.
DDO is based off DND 3.5, where sorcerers and wizards are very different.
Wizards get all the spells but need to select their spells before an adventure, sorcerers only now at most 4 spells of each level.
Wizards get less spellpoints, sorcerers get more.
Sorcerers cast twice as fast and have shorter cooldowns.
Wizards get free feats every 5 levels.
Wizards can be palemasters and turn undead, sorcerer master elemental magic and deal high elemental damage.

Do you think it's viable to play a solo Human Wizard-Archmage with high UMD to use healing items for sustain?
If yes, what spell school would you recommend for an Archmage build?
Druid should of been at least a self heals for days insta kills immunities and immunity bypass in ele forms good dps sla's and dps tick stacks for bosses just really viable in alot of content.
I love wolf and bear, but I just don't like spell caster druid. Makes me angry just to play em lol

Warlock is not all that controversial. I have used all classes and most races and I find it the easiest to use, even if it is not the most powerful overall. It is well rounded. Not much to click or use - but its attacks are universally okay. What you choose as your master is more a question of flavor. I prefer old ones since my guy was originally an earth based sorcerer, so I had lots of sorcerer past lives and gear. But there are more choices now, so certainly a lot more flavor to choose from. The rest is pretty much point and click. Force and untyped generally works against most creatures, making the attacks efficient against all all/most creatures without the need for a diverse spell deck.

fr. it almost felt easier to level than sorc. near unkillable, massive aoe melee dmg that one shots mobs on crits, solid all the way from 1-30 on r1-r2 just fuckin flies.
C for cleric, B for Bard, A for Alchemist,S for Sorcerer and if you flip the W upside down you get AA for Warlock!
I had a lot of respect for you Strim, but then you put bard in C tier and we can't be friends anymore. Idk about level 30, but bard is OP at healing, buffing, CC, and has good dps until endgame reapers. Just hurtful
I stopped playing my sorc because my Barb crits over 20K and self heals so much he is unkillable / unlike my sorc

That surpriesed me also, clerics aoe nuke everything and have seemed like the most powerful class I have played so far in plate with a shield.

Hold up I'm playing a barbarian it has the same problem you described with fighter except rage you can't heal unless in epics you take draconic and that's just a wast really
Nope. Barbarian got temporary hit points increase with the right enhancements. Fighters got nothing.
@@eugenelim11 well blood tribute is 150 temp hp plus think 50 for each epic lvl in reaper that's not really alot they have a few that proc HP on attack and hit but it's not alot to survive
@@anthonyweber9093 Better than fighters. They got nothing. If Fighters got hit, they are hit, unless they got something to heal them, they are dead.

The problem of this kind of videos is that developers that don´t play the game may think it´s true. Alchemist burst damage + evasion + healing is way better than sorcerer after R7 and easier to achieve DCs. Barbarian in B tier does way more damage than paladin. I prefer the paladin also but it can only compete with a barbarian in an undead dungeons.
To me is very hard to not divide by classes great for leveling and great for endgame. Rogues and monks are really great in endgame but terrible to level if not qstaff. Warlock really suffer in most of the pacts and the advantage you said is like the bard: can do it all. Roll a FB handaxe bard/fighter too see the results, used to be the dps king before the doublestrike pass.
I mean, not sure what will work better now with the updates. My guild lost 8 players when they announce the update and now it´s being weird to get in ddo.
I purely raid, Barbarian is "S" tier for sure.

Warlock is maybe at best b tier but if so cleric should be there. Cleric does cc fairly well and heals and buffs well. Warlock does low damage only gets 1 great cc spell in evards but with only 6 caster levels i dont think you can call it better than other classes. If 1 class is s tier it is fvs. Its a cleric that can tank and debuff with extra sp.

I absolutely LOVE playing monks, but other than at end game with the best weapon in the game, they suck compared to anything else, mostly because the devs have never done a real enhancement pass for them.
It was a joke mostly, monk is actually fairly strong, around B tier in terms of strength but D tier in terms of popularity.
@@Strimtom You knocked Fighter down for only being good in reaper with a healer, but monk is useless in mid reaper, and not ideal for anything.
Ranger and rogue are both better DPS with more defense and some utility, so monk cannot be higher than C, in any case, and I would argue that Bard is in a better place than monk at the moment, although that may only mean that Bard should be in B tier. Ranger really should be A, as should Barbarian.
I don't even splash monk for evasion, anymore, as anything you would splash can wear armor, and that alone makes them better than monk in reaper, which is what most people are leveling up in these days.
Add in the fact that, weak as they are, the devs actually nerfed the class the last time they changed anything (removing the crit bonus in Earth stance), and that explains the lack of popularity, which is why I rated it as F.
Again, I love playing monk; my main is supposed to end up being a monk after a bunch more reincarnations, but I am not in any rush (any honestly don't play nearly as much as I used to, largely for this reason) because the class just sucks right now.

Rogue and Fighter are easily in the D tier. They have utility, but not really anything that another class doesn't do well or better. And they basically require support and teammates to be effective and survive difficult content. No inherent self heals or buffs, no ability to significantly buff or debuff others as well as other classes, low variety in effective build options. They can be fun, people are allowed to enjoy them, but they don't bring anything particularly unique to a party- they are best utilized as cross class splashes unless going for a past life for the average player.
Barbarian is almost D tier, but at least it has a bit of self sustain from its trees, otherwise it would just be another "hit thing with stick" class. How often do you realistically see any build but 2 handed weapon barbarian? It is the definition of a one trick pony, it just does that trick very very well no matter the circumstances and it doesn't die when left unsupported
Basically, Paladin is "the better Fighter" (Tanky Melee vs Tanky Melee with Heals) and Artificer is "the better Rogue" (Traps vs Traps + Spells)?

SWF Barb/Fighter has much higher single target damage, but nobody likes to play those for some reason, even if you get a bunch of cleaves
Also if people stopped gimping themselves by running ravager the world would be a better place. Except for shifter DC caster barb with VoT, then it has a place. But absolutely insanely horrible tree i can even hold back my disgust
@@Cleruian Paladin is the Fighter with way more damage and less utility (that is replaced by having one cleric/fvs in the party). It is by no means a better fighter.
And in what world does Artificer compare to Rogue? Those are completely different archetypes of classes. One is a dodge-focused martial with very high situational DPS, one is a utility jack-of-all trades class
But they are kind of JUST damage. Rogues have trapping, but plenty of classes just splash 2 rogue for that trapping and basic evasion. Over past lives, attaining stacks of rarer scrolls for self buffs, crafting clickies, etc they become more self sufficient- but until then they just don't have much versatility to them and they don't benefit a party all that much. They don't heal, they don't CC much, they don't buff. Every class does damage, obviously some more than others, and if you're playing at the content level MOST players play at- Normal to R4- you don't really need a pure dps who isn't useful for much else.
Bard has to be multi classed sry but no and as for c class ouch.
