- Hi there! I’m new to CZcams, looking forward to make lots more “follow along” videos. Will be uploading more in the next few days, stay tuned! ❤️
In this video, you’ll learn from start to finish how to make four placemats, by first, deconstructing a large scale print of fabric, cut into 2.5 inch squares. Each square becomes framed by a border in the final placemat. Enjoy!
Look for the link to my Etsy account coming soon.
Love your improv style. So simple yet very creative. It works with anyone's favorite large floral print which leaves room for personal expression. I really appreciate your goal of sewing from what you have. We don't have to buy new or run to the fabric store for each project.
Thank you for your comment, let’s keep creating!!!
Love watching and getting ideas from you
It's like looking out a window into a flower garden!!! I loved the whole process. Thank you for sharing!!
This is a fun project for makers of all ages! ❤️
I thought the same thing about your neck. Love your creativity and risky ideas.
These placemats are really great!
Thanks Michelle! It was a fun project.
Your placemats turned out cute.
Thanks Romona- I ended up giving them to a family friend who had since sent me a picture of her dining table with them in use.
They are very pretty
I would not know you are new to CZcams. I very much enjoyed you taking the risk of cutting up your fabric and made these beautiful, fun placemats. I could not resist but to find a face, lake, sun shining on the ocean and so on. Wow, what great fun. Thank you for being real not afraid to say well, I'll have to seam rip it's meditative. Happy sewing.
I just love the placemats. Colors, smashing, all of it. Thank you for sharing how you constructed these.
Great work !
You are such a graceful lady with beautiful eyes. 😊😉
I will watch more of your videos 👍

The placemats came out really beautiful.
The placemats are gorgeous!!
I liked your project. The instructions are easy to follow. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this idea. I just ordered a large floral print and plan on making a set of my own.
Thank you for this project video! It gave me tons of ideas! And I am so happy I discovered your channel! I love your simple informal style of video production & I love your personal style.
Those were very nice. 💜💜💜 AuntieEllen
Thank you for your cutting tips!
Thanks for watching Loma!
Really, really love these … and your fabric choices are perfect!
Great first video! Thank you for the idea 🙂
Hope you made a table runner or table hot plate with those extra pieces
looks amazing
Instead of cutting your sashing so short. Sew your small squares all on your sashing then cut them apart
That makes a lotta sense!!! ❤️😀
Strip sets would make this go faster.
@@hopecorrigan3349 I would definitely approach this with all strip sets. plus I quilt my tops and backs before attaching them
Love your idea! So beautiful. Just found you and subscribing.
Welcome to the channel Kathy!
💗💗💗
Very cool placemats! The strips you're referring to as borders are called sashing, by the way.
I would have taken strips of the sashing and sewn it to a strip of the flower fabric then sub cut it.
Have you tried to add the squares to a long 1-inch strip leaving at least a quarter inch space or a bit more between the squares?
Is your thyroid ok on the right side ??
Looks a swollenbit
Yes, I have a mass but it’s been biopsied.
