In the next video of the radio install, I am interested to see your technique for splicing wires together. I have never found a method I liked and was 100% fool proof.

I’ve done this upgrade. A few things I’ll point out. I miss physically turning the volume knob more than I thought I would. The 2nd is most important but the ambient light of some of these head units is too bright at night. If you dim the unit then the backup camera becomes too dark during the day. Please let us know how this one checks out once you get it installed. 😁
When I got my JK it had the exact same radio. I asked my dealer how to connect my phone. He said they needed to install a module which costs $1200. Are you serious? Needless to say, I didn't. And, you can't even use the old radio in any other car. It has to match the VIN. How stupid.

I plan to upgrade the audio in the 98 TJ that I bought for my grandson, during the upcoming restoration we are going to be doing, so I will be watching the next video to see how the master does the job. Did you put Randy on a time out or is it just too cold for his delicate body to come outside and visit you. TP

Ford did something similar, the my touch had to be equipped but the buttons were there.

He actually had been really busy with audio installs .... and his fragile body cant handle cold like you said lol
