    • @StingerOffRoad
      @StingerOffRoad  Pƙed 2 lety

      The harness is plug and play, so if you have audio in all sources and when on Bluetooth calls, it is correctly connected. The factory amplifier only has 2 channels of input, so while all speakers will play, you will not have fader control with this or any aftermarket radio.

      The CH1AJKIT upgrade adds the vehicle info, gauges, and off road tabs to an existing HEIGH10 that has been installed in a 2011-18 Wrangler JK. It is not required, but will give you some additional, cool features. The RB10JK11K radio replacement package that is available has the upgrade included with it already.

    • @StingerOffRoad
      @StingerOffRoad  Pƙed rokem +1

      As long as your JK has an automatic transmission the interface picks up that signal on the CAN network and the trigger is sent to the HEIGH10. Hello Kenneth,
      The integrated information is exclusive to the JL kit. You can turn the display completely off.

      @@StingerOffRoad I see! Any plans on adding that to the JK? My current head unit shows tire pressure, as well as piggybacking other informations from the OBD port. I would love to get this unit but definitely don’t want to loose those features

      @@RVingTheCountry Oh wow, 400 dollars for a trim piece... Yeah it's pretty absurd that they're not even working on it for the JK considering how many people owns JK. I hope your installation goes well! Let me know what you think of it after installation! I don't think I'm going to buy it unless they add the vehicle information feature for the JKs. My current head unit does all that and It'd be like paying to lose those features.

      @@SAfirefighter I currently have the 7” Alpine i207-WRA which has that feature. Mine is quite old and I’ve had it for years. I believe all Alpine’s Jeep Wrangler specific radios have that feature. The only downside is their larger 9” radios requires you to do permanent modifications to your dash.

      Reverse cameras will work in a manual transmission Wrangler as well. You will need to grab the reverse trigger in the passenger kickpanel or at the reverse light itself to trigger the radio, as we are not able to pick that up on the CAN network like we can an automatic transmission vehicle.

      @@christophermikec4221 so I really had to push the foam in from the side - which was what was blocking the unit from perfectly lining up to the bracket holes to the display unit screws that are flush to the display unit channeling.
      I was really starting to worry about the dash it should snap to. Additionally, I flexed / pushed the snapping clips from the display unit bracket to make them less rigid so they could cling to the dash without so much force.
      Stinger is gonna have a lot of people in the same boat. Im fairly certain I did minor damage to the display unit LCD screen because of the amount force required to make the display unit even close to lining up with the screws
