The Pre-Oiling Kit is designed to pre-oil an engine after the engine has been worked on and the oil has been drained. Not having sufficient or a delay in oil pressure can cause damage to the engine.

This is genius because you are using the oil in the very crankcase of the vehicle. I use an external, oil filled container with shop air. Another thing that is awesome with this tool is you can spot leaks immediately.

What’s the difference from priming the engine (disabling fuel and cranking engine) vs doing it this way?

driven oil pumps only pump oil when crank is rotated so no matter how much you prime it there is a tiniest bit of time the cams and crank spin without oil
