My husband also worked in the same office and I told him what happened. Later that night at twilight with a flashlight we searched for the stone in a stall full of pine shavings. He was very determined to fine that stone and believe it or not we found it. After that I always took off my rings when working with the horses. 😊
I wear a silicon wedding band because I lost my diamond and dont want my husband to spend the money to have to replace it. My other rings are from the copper wiring from the house we are building. The last one came out of a vending machine at Texas Roadhouse that my grown son gave when he was little. All cheap, but priceless to me!❤😂

My Mum was terminally ill and wanted us to bring our wedding forward so she could be there. She died 6 weeks later. I will never regret how we did it. We went to Las Vegas with our 2 best friends and got married 30 yrs ago. We didn't want a wedding, I had enough friends that had big weddings and divorces, some 2 and 3 times. I think your intimate ceremony was very romantic. In the grand scheme of life this will be a blip. I love the silicone rings! NO ONE'S BUSINESS. It is no one's business how you married. It is no one's business what type rings you choose. The only thing that matters is your feelings and your commitment with or without rings, marriage license or anything else. I lived with my husband a year before we married and the feeling after was no different than the feeling before. We were committed before just as much as after.
I had a teacher and someone asked him why he didn't wear a wedding ring. He said he had worked construction and one of his friends jumped out of a truck and his wedding ring got hooked on something and he was basically just dangling by his finger. The guy ended up losing his finger because of the damage. After that, none of his coworkers would wear any jewelry of any kind after that.
When my husband preposed to me, I told him to put money of an engagement ring into a tractor for our farm. Forty-three years later, I can say… that was a great investment!
About the rings, it's been "a thing" for a couple years now. Just about everyone we know now has them and because they aren't that expensive you can change the color with your mood. If you work with your hands it's great. I love the fact you did the wedding your way, because at the end of the day it's the 2 of you. We are thinking about going back to the town in Nevada where we were married next year and celebrating our 25th anniversary in the hubs sisters backyard - like the day we were married. I had a teacher and someone asked him why he didn't wear a wedding ring. He said he had worked construction and one of his friends jumped out of a truck and his wedding ring got hooked on something and he was basically just dangling by his finger. The guy ended up losing his finger because of the damage. After that, none of his coworkers would wear any jewelry of any kind after that.

About the rings, it's been "a thing" for a couple years now. Just about everyone we know now has them and because they aren't that expensive you can change the color with your mood. If you work with your hands it's great. I love the fact you did the wedding your way, because at the end of the day it's the 2 of you. We are thinking about going back to the town in Nevada where we were married next year and celebrating our 25th anniversary in the hubs sisters backyard - like the day we were married. I wish you less haters and many many wonderful years of being married ahead of you!!!! My moto has always been "F 'em if they can't take a joke!" Be happy.😀
