The brick wall technique is a psychological strategy used to manage interactions with manipulative or narcissistic individuals by deliberately making oneself uninteresting and unresponsive. The technique involves minimizing emotional reactions, providing short and monotonous responses, and avoiding engagement in provocative topics. By becoming as emotionally flat and unremarkable as a "grey rock," one reduces the manipulative person's incentive to continue their behavior, as they thrive on eliciting emotional responses and attention. Grey rocking can be a useful tool for preserving one's mental health and boundaries in challenging interpersonal dynamics, particularly when more direct confrontation or avoidance is not feasible.

This is such good practical advice. I have been trying to cope with my narc wife’s unpredictable verbal abuse attacks or even 8:23 the more subtle jibes. Now I’m starting to pick the gaslighting line of questioning but this really helps see these episodes for what they are and I can now see how I’m feeding her craving for a reaction! I realise she is not going to change and I going use these techniques to help me chart my way through the mine field until I’m free and out of this toxic relationship. Thank you so much Anoushka this really helps!

Anoushka...Hi, how are you doing? Are you going live only 1 time per month now on last Tuesday of the month or going back to weekly live podcast every Tuesday?

@@ericjackson-nq4hp HI Eric. I'm confused by what she's doing. She tells us that she's trying to get control of her channel again and pick up where we left off asap. Then she announces that the live podcast will be cut to once a month instead of weekly. Waz up????
